Not a great battle, the 3 sims/1 real format isn't that compelling, it's just the same thing over and over with, I think, the pilot difficulties adjusted. The last mission was constructed in a way that was incredibly drawn out and tedious, as the whole %Rebel Craft thing usually is. Just not much effort, and not much fun. :(
This battle is disappointing, particularly as the dogfighting in the first mission is actually enjoyable and requires savvy use of the right warheads to complete. It is followed by 2 effectively identical missions that are a lot less enjoyable and offer little challenge - the only advantage I can suggest for this battle is that it can be completed fairly quickly, but otherwise offered initial promise that wasn't met beyond the first mission.
This should have been a single free standing mission. 3 Training missions that are a little harder than before then another mission that is the real thing is not the best way to run a battle. Battles are meant to be in the assumption that we already possess the skills necessary to complete the missions. However, under certain circumstances, additional training should be done. And in this case, they should have been done up as simulator missions (they are editable if one hunts for them properly...). From there, the mission/battle should be done. I found this "battle" as a waste of my time except for the FCHG points.
Honestly, I don't see the point in this thing. It's like, the same mission again and again and again, adding some extra fighters in each one. Give it a 1 for the last mission...
I liked it all, except that the last battle was a little drawn out. I also liked how it made us think that missio 4 was going to be just like mission 3 but was totally different. Took me totally by suprise. It should have a medal, though.
If you're going to have 75% of the battle training for a mission, at least make that mission ALMOST like the training exercises!
I liked the whole training for the mission which was a nice change, even if the battle was realtivly simple
hard, and a little pointless. The idea is great though.
A pretty good battle. Easy, but good. It was cool that you first exercise a few scenarios before you take on the enemy for real.

2] Check the Misc folder in your TIE95 one for additional material like patches, sounds etc.
3] Press the TIE Fighter button on the EHBL to start the game
4] Create a new pilot and fly the first battle

General Plot: The training of a squadron through 3 missions, each getting
progressively harder in order to destroy Rogue Squadron. The 4th mission
is the real one, where you will attempt to destroy them.
Mission 1: Training Mission #1
You and your flight are to take out the 12 ships of rogue squadron in this
first training mission.
Mission 2: Training Mission #2
You and your flight are one again to take out Rogue Squadron, but this one
involves tighter defenses by the rebels, making a harder mission.
Mission 3: Training Mission #3
This mission involves a counter-strike by the rebels. Watch out for the
Challenge in this mission!
Mission 4: The Destruction of Rogue Squadron
This is the actual mission, where you will attempt to destroy Rogue Squadron.

More plot:
Imperial Intelligence has located the home base for Rogue Squadron. Your Wing has
been selected, and the best of the best have been chosen to make one flight in
order to destroy Rogue Squadron. Congratulations on having the honor of serving on
this mission! You will undergo 3 missions which will train you to expect any possible
resistance, and afterwards, you will test your skills to the extreme, by going deep into
the inner core, and attacking them. Good Luck!
