Medal Board

All members of the TIE Corps may be rewarded with the following medals and awards depending on the level and significance of their work. Award recommendations can be submitted through the member's management interface by an officer having knowledge of the member's contributions, and appropriate recommendation authority for the award.

There are three basic types of medals that a member can achieve while in the service of the Emperor’s Hammer: Merit Awards, Service Medals, and Commendations. Individual Emperor's Hammer Subgroups present awards unique to the group. In addition, members may receive Battle Medals for custom battles with approved medals.

Medal of Honor The Medal of Honor is the highest medal a member of the Emperor's Hammer may be awarded. The recipients of the Medal of Honor have performed consistent service above and beyond the call of duty and have personally and significantly improved the entire Fleet through their direct actions. Examples of such service would include sacrifice of one's pilot in the line of duty while saving others or personally introducing an aspect to the Fleet which proves to be instrumental in its growth. This medal can only be awarded by the Fleet Commander. 28 times
Imperial Cross The Imperial Cross is awarded to members who have shown exceptional loyalty and dedication to the Fleet. These officers will have shown consistent, exceptional and innovative service in their assigned function. This medal can be awarded by the Fleet Commander or the Executive Officer. 33 times
Order of the Renegade The Order of the Renegade is given for exceptional dedication, service and loyalty to the Fleet far surpassing all other members and is regarded to be an independent recognition of a member's actions. This is awarded in the memory of COL Renegade for his incredible work in the service to the Emperor's Hammer. Members who are already Fleet Admirals (or of equivalent rank) and who have achieved almost all merit awards are awarded the coveted Order of the Renegade, which may only be bestowed by the Fleet Commander or Executive Officer. 10 times
Grand Order of the Emperor Any member of the Emperor's Hammer may be awarded the Grand Order of the Emperor for Service Above and Beyond the Call of Duty and Valor Extraordinaire. Award of this medal constitutes entrance into a fraternal order as well. Recipients of the Grand Order of the Emperor are highly respected in all manners of Imperial functions. This medal can only be awarded by the Fleet Commander, the Executive Officer, and a Group Commander. 73 times
Gold Star of the Empire The Gold Star of the Empire can be awarded by any member of Emperor's Hammer Command Staff or TIE Corps Admiralty Board for extraordinary service and exceptional loyalty. Excelling command officers will most often be the recipients of this medal, but not necessarily. Greater than the Silver Star, it cannot be awarded for general activity. 311 times
Silver Star of the Empire The Silver Star of the Empire can be awarded by any member of Emperor's Hammer Command Staff, TIE Corps Admiralty Board or Ship Commodore for exceptional service and loyalty. This could include expansion of an officer's area of expertise by introducing new aspects/ideas to his position. Exceptional command officers will most often be the recipients of this medal. 1,106 times
Bronze Star of the Empire The Bronze Star of the Empire can be awarded by any Wing Commander to a member for extraordinary service to a particular wing. This will typically be an award for a member for aiding these officers in their duties. 1,833 times
Palpatine Crescent The Palpatine Crescent can be awarded by Wing Commanders and Squadron Commanders to Flight Members and above for exceptional service to the wing or squadron. This could include help with overall management of a squadron or wing or a member who is consistently contributing new ideas for the unit. 2,359 times
Imperial Security Medal The Imperial Security Medal is typically awarded by Squadron Commanders to Flight Members or Flight Leaders within their squadrons who have shown exceptional service and dedication to the squadron. 3,580 times
Imperial Achievement Ribbon Used to recognize short-term bursts of activity, the Imperial Achievement Ribbon is awarded to members that exert effort beyond the normal scope of their duties worthy of being mentioned in a dispatch. 1,187 times
Medal of Tactics - Red Hammer The Medal of Tactics is awarded by the Tactical Officer to members who create an approved battle or free mission for use in the Emperor's Hammer. Battle creations are rewarded with a Red Hammer, free mission creations are rewarded with a Green Hammer and members who perform authorized and supervised correction on official battles and free missions and those under review for official status by the Tactical Office are rewarded with a Blue Hammer. 306 times
Medal of Tactics - Green Hammer The Medal of Tactics is awarded by the Tactical Officer to members who create an approved battle or free mission for use in the Emperor's Hammer. Battle creations are rewarded with a Red Hammer, free mission creations are rewarded with a Green Hammer and members who perform authorized and supervised correction on official battles and free missions and those under review for official status by the Tactical Office are rewarded with a Blue Hammer. 296 times
Medal of Tactics - Blue Hammer The Medal of Tactics is awarded by the Tactical Officer to members who create an approved battle or free mission for use in the Emperor's Hammer. Battle creations are rewarded with a Red Hammer, free mission creations are rewarded with a Green Hammer and members who perform authorized and supervised correction on official battles and free missions and those under review for official status by the Tactical Office are rewarded with a Blue Hammer. 324 times
Medal of Instruction The Medal of Instruction is awarded to any pilot who personally recruits a new member to the TIE Corps (the recruit's training must be completed, as determined by the Dean of IWATS). The Medal of Instruction may be upgraded with a Blue, Gold, Platinum, Emerald or Diamond Cross. 1,033 times
Medal of Scholarship The Medal of Scholarship is awarded to any Emperor's Hammer member who expands the Imperial University’s body of knowledge by creating a new course and supporting materials, or who substantially revises an existing course (generally considered to be changing at least 50% of the course content to include notes and the exam). Such new course or revised course must have been approved for instruction within the Imperial University according to Training Office procedures. 32 times
Medal of Communication - Diamond Oak Cluster The Medal of Communication is awarded by the Communications Officer to members who display constant communication efforts like participating on mailing lists, posting on the Emperor's Hammer Message Boards, maintaining a high level presence on IRC channels and other ways. The basic Medal of Communication has the Bronze Oak Cluster addition, but it can be upgraded with Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond Oak Clusters. 523 times

TIE Corps Commander's Unit Award The TIE Corps Commander's Unit Award is presented to the members of the first place squadron in a fleet-wide competition. For a pilot to receive the award, they must have contributed to the squadron's victory through activities such as flying missions, submitting fiction, etc. 69 times
TIE Corps Meritorious Unit Award The TIE Corps Meritorious Unit Award is presented to the members of runners-up squadrons in a fleet-wide competition, both second and third places. The MUA is also awarded to the members of the first place wing/ship in afleet-wide competition and the members of the first place squadron in a wing or ship competition. For a pilot to receive the award, they must have contributed to the wing's or ship's victory through activities such as flying missions, submitting fiction, etc. 389 times

Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum devices (ribbons or wings) are awarded dependent on the scale/scope of the competition and the pilot’s placement. Operational Readiness Award The Operational Readiness Award is presented for achievements made during competitions and events. Multiple awards may be presented for an individual achievement based on the nature of the excellence demonstrated. The ORA is upgraded as a pilot receives more of them, starting with the First Circle (-1C) at five awards, Second Circle (-2C) at 25 awards, Third Circle (-3C) at 125 awards, then further levels every additional 125 awards. 3,840 times
Legion of Combat The Legion of Combat is awarded for achieving a victory in multiplayer combat engagements in any multiplayer-capable game platform officially approved for the TIE Corps. The Legion of Combat is awarded by the Combat Operations Officer or his Assistants. This medal is upgradable with Copper, Iridium, Thallium, Rubidium and Platinum Scimitars. 120,889 times
Legion of Skirmish The Legion of Skirmish is awarded for achieving a victory in multiplayer coop PvE engagements in any multiplayer-capable game platform officially approved for the TIE Corps. The Legion of Skirmish is awarded by the Combat Operations Officer or his Assistants. This medal is upgradable with Copper, Iridium, Thallium, Rubidium and Platinum Scimitars. 220,870 times
Distinguished Flying Cross The Distinguished Flying Cross is awarded by the Combat Operations Officer or his Assistants for being declared the Top Winning player in a Combat Operations Office-approved multiplayer competition. The Distinguished Flying Cross can be upgraded with Gold, Silver or Bronze Wings. 451 times
Commendation of Service The Commendation of Service is awarded by the Tactical Officer to members who submit an approved plotline for a Campaign, Combined Arms Battle, or Battle. 30 times
Commendation of Excellence The Commendation of Excellence is awarded by the Internet Officer for consistent support, maintenance and creation of official Emperor's Hammer web pages and websites. 29 times
Commendation of Loyalty The Commendation of Loyalty is awarded by the Fleet Commander or Executive Officer to members of the Emperor's Hammer who have displayed consistently excellent service to the Fleet. It may be recommended only twice a year, at the occasions of the Emperor's Hammer Anniversary (January 7) and Grand Admiral Ronin's Birthday (August 21) of each Standard Imperial Year. 714 times
Commendation of Bravery The Commendation of Bravery is awarded to a member who has shown consistent dedication in combat. It can be awarded by a Wing Commander or higher to a pilot who has completed at least 30 missions or online combat engagements (or a combination of both). This commendation can only be awarded once. 558 times
Letter of Achievement The Letter of Achievement is awarded per newsletter entry that is published in 'Dark Sentinel', the Emperor's Hammer official newsletter. Letters of Achievement can only be awarded by the Executive Officer. 1,504 times
Order of the Vanguard The Order of the Vanguard is awarded to members for extended service in the Fleet. It is granted for one year in the Emperor's Hammer, with additional Echelons being granted for continued membership. This is the only medal that is automatically awarded and upgraded as necessary by the database for all members of the TIE Corps. 8,614 times
Medal of Allegiance The Medal of Allegiance is awarded by order of the Fleet Commander or Executive Officer to a member of another club that has helped the Fleet consistently. The Medal of Allegiance cannot be awarded to members of the Emperor's Hammer, but they're allowed to wear one if it was awarded before they joined the Fleet. 0 times
