Standard, but pretty solid set of missions. Not much to consider, but destroying rebel fighters and in Mission 4 some cap ships, which come down easy enough. As other reviews have stated, don't really need to know the backstory to complete this battle, just go out there, and shoot stuff!
The best thing I can say about this battle is that it is quick and to the point. The briefings leave you wondering what you are supposed to do but it's easy enough to figure out - just kill the enemy starfighters. The readme file give a little more background to the story, it could have just used a little more work.
Missions were very bland. Had to pay no attention to the actual storyline. Couldn't tell you what the actual mission requirements were other than destroying enemy fighters. Which on that subject: I flew the battle on MEDIUM, wasn't shot at ONCE. Enemy fighters seemed to avoid combat completely. This was perhaps the easiest battle to complete ever. A couple of bugs found to report.
Pretty decent battle, this one has you primarily dogfighting and a few frigate attacks. this one is good for practicing dogfighting and theres only 4 missions that are like this. i played this as part of rtf 21 and used unlimited waves. would try this again to practice more
I flew this as part of Raise the Flag competition 2021. Overall, the battle seemed straightforward with no major hang-ups. There is not much to say about it. It was fun but the battle did not contain any elements that makes it stand out from nearly every other battle you have ever flown.
There wasn't anything particularly groundbreaking here; there is a thin veneer of a plot, but it was mostly just a bit of dogfighting to complete the very simple mission objectives.
Pretty basic missions to be honest. Three of the four missions are good old classic dog fights. Kill a bunch of fighters. The final missions is dog fights plus two Frigates. Good luck without warheads.
I didn't think this one was so bad. Sure, it's all eliminate 75% of enemy fighter types (on easy), and sure your squadies crash in to you every time, and yeah the X-Wings are more likely to crash in to you than that one Battle where they're literally trying to ram you. But honestly, this isn't as bad as most 'bad' missions are. Still enjoyable, give it a second look if you're doubting it.
Nothing to really write home about. Each mission is straight up dogfighting. The objectives could have been more about the happenings of the map, say 'Heavy Loader completes objective' rather than 'Kill X %'
Average battle, straightforward as they come. Go out in a T/A and kill'em all. Only lasers though. Last mission is slightly more challenging since it will involve a couple of cap ships and you, as usual, are unprepared and no warheads. Simple, old fun about slaughtering rebels. Nothing more, nothing less.
This battle was... 'specific' is a kind word. The first 3 missions were an absolute breeze, where you don't really need to worry about anything and just shoot rebels. The last one, though... I've read it's hard, so I switched difficulty to Easy for it, just to complete the battle. That was a good choice, because I actually got fired upon! :) I may have even gotten my shields dropped to 20% or so.
On the plot, well, there is one. I think that's the most I can say about it.
Overall a very quick and easy mission - to be flown on Easy/Medium if all you want is a quick win while shooting down some flying junk. Unfortunately, there's nothing more to it and the difficulty jump for the last mission is way too big.
Interesting fact: this is the first mission I ever played where rebel AI seemed to deliberately crash into the ISD - rather a bug than a feature, though.
This battle was thrown together faster than you can fly it. If you want to spend some time just to nuke down a few rebel ships, then this is the battle for you. Straight forward and a bit silly. Especially in one of the missions whereby the bonus goals auto-complete themselves as you start the mission. Was clearly throw together as part of some mission-creating competition. It's not all bad. It's a nice chance to shoot at stuff without any real danger to yourself.
Unfortunately, this is not a good mission. As other reviewers have stated, this is just 4 straight missions of 'fly a TIE Advanced and kill dumb enemy fighters'. The only plus side to it is that it's extremely quick and probably good for XvT beginners, but that's it.
I found this battle to be tedious and repetitive. Yes, I can see why the other reviews might go easy, it's rather easy and quick. Still, it's three missions of the exact same thing (player is in a T/A, you're up against some enemy squadrons and have to destroy 75% of each, no missiles, no beam, no countermeasures, it's exactly the same). And then mission 4 promises something different by throwing in two Rebel frigates to destroy. Without any Bombers in the mission. Fortunately you don't have to do much since the mission creator screwed that one up and has the frigates and your ISD all converge on the exact same waypoint. Frigates flying through an ISD makes short work of them making this an easy win, but if you're just a tad unlucky they take the ISD with them and you can try again. Sorry, a big fat 0 from me.
A little too easy, like the Mariannes Turkey shoot, the Rebel pilots are too much Rookie.Maybe the choice of the standard Tie Fighter in the place of the Raptor was more challenge for the battle.
If you have 7 minutes of free time, you can complete this one on hard. I think it needs to be made more challenging. Although the scores Bruckmack got on this one are almost impossible to beat.
The battle is VERY easy... I think XvT beginners will enjoy it :P
This has to be the easiest battle I've ever flown! It took me 15 minutes to complete on "hard".. what kind of AI seeting was used for these rebels... "Homer Simpson"? DoH! So it gets a 1 because somebody had to spend the time to build it.

Unsure if a legitimate bug or bad mission programming, but enemy fighters did not fire at me ONCE, nor engage in combat. Even in head to head runs. In mission #3, enemy fighters suicide against friendly ISD for no reason.
