This was a fun one, but tough to get a high score. Figuring out which order and when to focus on the two groups of bombers and the two frigates was a fun challenge on Hard difficulty. And then the A-wings come to target you. Whew. Good multitasking, fun mission.
The Officer briefing and map briefing were both straight to the point. Coming in hot to defend an ISD while taking out some frigates. The mission requires you to direct your wingman to help whittle down the frigate while you are on anti-fighter duty. Gets a little hard because the Y-Wings and B-Wings are coming from two different directions, so you need to pick one and go for it, trying to take out incoming torpedoes as you close in on them. Felt like this mission was a nice little challenge on hard as I tried to get a good score.
Send your wingmen to wear down the frigates while you take care of the bombers attacking Immortal (hint: it is not). You might want to finish off the frigates for points though.
It's hectic and decent. You have quite a bit to do and a very short time to do it. The frigates are trying to blow up the Immortal even after it gets disabled, which comes down to two problems, the Frigate orders (there is a disable action) but also the Frigates' aggro. Regardless it could have been done a little better. I did find the mission overall enjoyable and I recommend giving it a go. Not overly complicated and yet just enough there to break the mold a bit.
Not as good as others are saying. Basic plotline error (why the hell is a Challenge squadron defending the Immortal?), and the Frigates continue firing at the Imm even if it becomes disabled.
This is a fun mission with good briefings, a well flushed out plot for a free mission, and lots of killing, should you let the star fighters actually make it out. Other than the fact that if you nuke that first capital ship really quickly you can finish the mission quickly, this is a great mission. Play it if you are looking for a fun free mission to get in. I give it a Score: 4.80 (rounded up to a 5 for purposes of the EH review scale.)
Even though I created the mission, I have found that the AD Striker made corrections to it and added ships that weren't supposed to be there. Thus making the mission totally different. I suppose that when we submit stuff, its okay for the TAC Office to just add and remove stuff without the author's consent? I still enjoyed it somewhat, but wasn't fun since I know how the mission was supposed to be.
the only gripe i have is not being able to tell the other pilots flying around to ignore a target so i can leave it for killing later.... overall it is difficult enough without becoming impossible....
Mission is ok, but is lacking of something extra for example mines, asteroids, planets, probes, navbouys, satelites. Those are just add-ons to the mission but are missing here...
Good misson with the odds in favor of the Rebels!
