It's mostly competently made, although I always hate "destroy all fighter goals" when fighters can go back home if damaged. Missions 1-3 are cribbing TIE Fighter Battle #1 pretty hard. Ultimately though, not one I enjoyed playing much.

I didn't read the manual, i don't know what the Space Point Rangers are...
Its a respectable battle. Nothing fancy.
Worth flying. Mission 1 is a bit long, otherwise i enjoyed it

This was a good battle. I liked it. I am playing it after the capital ships were fixed. Having said that, the capital ships could have used with some movement and pathing but that is ok and a minor nitpick for the specific battle. The first mission is a good opener and throughout the build-up from mission to mission was natural and done well. I felt like being in the Imperial Fleet again, reminiscent of the first TIE Fighter battles. It has its flaws in the gameplay and the briefing map was barely animated but that's ok, hence the 4 out of 5 (instead of a 5)

Points for the idea of showing training and placement in a unit. But the reality is that it winds up being unnecessarily tedious. The mission design is a bit slow, and no warheads at all and a bunch of easy, tedious dogfighting isn't very entertaining. The briefings also don't follow through on the premise nearly as much as they could. Still fun, but I can see some easy ways this would've been even better.

Beef is correct. This battle was created when I was a newbie at mission creation, and after flying it again (1 year after its construction) I must say it's not very brilliant. - - - - - Update: Capital ships now have SS orders.

Distinctly Average, Bonus points for three missions in unshielded craft. Little or no plot, waves upon waves of enemy craft and to top it all off, starfighter orders on capital ship in mission 3 GRRRRR!

Since I have actuly been to the real F-16 I have to give it a extra point for the nostalgia.

Sorry, but this mission is NOT great. First off, the plot is so weak, it's almost nonexistent. It didn't motivate me enough to much care if our platform survived. Contrary to what someone else said, you can tell that NOT a lot of work was put into it. It's not very complex or thorough. It's the kind of stuff people make when they're newbies at mission creation. The missions were standard at best and annoying at worst (especially mission 1 which was just sit in your T/F and kill waves of alphabets just like that training mission that came with TIE Fighter). And on a minor note, a couple of the in-flight messages were timed wrong. This battle was not original, not interesting, and not fun. It is highly overrated.

I enjoyed this battle a lot. I liked the idea of getting promoted to a different squadron as well. Good work!

Mission 1 and 3 keep you on your toes, but the rest is easy sailing. It's easily one of my favorite battles.

I have to say, excellent job Linkan, you must have put a lot of effort into this. The one thing I would change about this battle is the first mission, it reminded me of TC-TIE 46 Back to Basics
