Bland and painful without cheats.
Story is ok. No major issues. Fly and forget.

There is some story, and on easy it isn't too bad but it is boring and tedious.

Very bland buggy boring missions, with one exception. For some reason all the capital ships and platforms have starfighter orders, the mission objectives are confusing (Having to leave one X-Wing alive while you destroy a platform and a bunch of containers enemy craft on an allied iff, allied craft shooting at each other, mission orders not given properly to craft), and a lack of bonus objectives plus having to laser down many high health objectives for kills make this a battle to forget. I am sure it is enjoyable on lower difficulties but it is not if you are flying it on hard.

I didn't find this set of missions to be fun. The second mission, in particular, felt very difficult even on Easy. The last mission, as others have noted, was a long slog of dogfighting without much structure or interest. The briefings were short and not engaging. I would not recommend it or using it for future competitions.

Played on easy with cheats. Nothing too special here, basic "kill a few fighters, a few more come in, repeat" missions.

The storyline is decent enough, nothing particularly creative but the missions at least stay consistent with it. The first three missions, not complex, but fun enough to play. The final mission? 6 squadrons worth of 100% kills as a primary goal and they all have 'retreat if damaged' orders? Sorry, but that's just sloppy design. Absent that mission? Probably a 4. But it really was that bad.

The storyline is ok. It starts with a good premise and follows through with it. The missions themselves, for the most part, are well constructed. There are some minors issues, such as, some ships of no consequence are flagged as friendlies instead of enemies. Also some capital ships have starfighter commands (which SOMETIMES works especially if woven into the story), but in this case I think it was too many. The one thing that DOES stand out in a good way was the use of the in-game messaging. It was well executed and did a good job of letting you know exactly where you were in the mission. The fun factor, most of the missions are good. The first mission had too many Capital Ships to destroy on waves #2 and #3. There was no need. The game time for that mission took 90 minutes! (and that was with me carving myself blind spots by destroying a few turrets => sitting next to the Cap ship lasers endlessly blasting at x4 speed) Thankfully I was using x4 time but even with that, it took a good half an hour of disintegrating piece by piece the hull of those cap ships. Overall the battle was enjoyable, especially the last mission.

This is a well constructed 6 mission battle that starts off with a novel plot of competing in the Imperial starfighter Olympics. Suffice to say things go wrong and a battle ensues. The plot progresses nicely through the set of missions, making nice use of briefings, officer reports and in game text to progress the plot.
The briefings and officer text are well written with minimal error and the missions are challenging enough to enjoy.
I did find the last mission overly long and very frustrating when it would fail due to a starfighter running away into hyperspace.

I found this battle particularly frustrating and abandoned it without completing it - the last missions is a particularly lengthy dogfight, which proves to be extremely time intensive. This is worse due to the number of aborting fighters preventing completion of goals and requiring further attempts. After 4 attempts I lost patience and moved on to another battle - this is a personal opinion, but I can't recommend it based on the last missions design alone.

Well, the battle’s plot is fairly average, the first and last missions have some annoying qualities too them, and it’s a tad easy overall. Still, the briefings are well done and most of the battle is fun and entertaining and that’s really what we are all about here in the EH so I will give it a solid recommendation. Go fly and enjoy! I give it a 4.25 (rounded down to a 4 for purposes of the EH review scale).

I really liked this battle, so much so it put me in a good mood :) Nice plotline, which actually has some nice twists, decently difficult (read: the x-wings have the adv. missiles), and its always fun to waste a CRS without moving :)

Mission 3 bug report should be 50% of Cruiser Commands' hull, not its' shields
2026-01-21
Mission 1: Grandstand spelled incorrectly. The first six in-flight messages have extra spaces at the end of the sentences/beginning of next sentence, as do the debriefing offer answers to questions two and three. Corvette group Target A has starfighter orders. All enemy craft have quadruple and triple redundant orders; they have orders to "attack targets, T/D Alpha or T/D Alpha, T/D Alpha or T/D Alpha" three times they only need the order one time, or simply basic starship orders. ISD Olympiad & Liner GrandStand are invulnerable despite the fact no craft have orders to attack them.
Mission 2: Grandstand spelled incorrectly. Modified Corvette group Wrack has A-Wing Gold & B-Wing Blue set as its' primary and secondary targets, meaning that either tries to retreat to the corvettes it will destroy them. T/D Beta arrives when 100% of Gold & Blue have arrived instead of when any of them have arrived, meaning they only arrive for the last waves of the craft instead of the first ones. Multiple sentences missing punctuation. Extra space error appears again in messages 1,3, 6, & 7, briefing officer question 1-3 & debriefing officer question 1 & 3 twice.
Mission 3: If its' shields are lowered to 50% at the start of the mission ASAP, the Cruiser Command instantly goes to hyperspace, causing mission failure. Cruiser Command has been given Advanced Torpedoes for warheads when it is only possible for it to fire Missiles. Cruiser Command has orders to protect itself instead of having been assigned waypoints, meaning it will chase down whichever starfighter shoots at it first. All enemy capital ships have starfighter orders. Freighter group Cache has SS Wait orders in the 3rd slot but no orders in 1/2, meaning order 3 will never be fulfilled. Spacing error appears in inflight messages 1, 5, 6 twice, 9 & 10. Debriefing officer question 1 should read "This is the beginning of an end..." HQ spelled incorrectly in message 2. Multiple sentences missing punctuation.
Mission 4: Multiple sentences missing punctuation. Spacing issue in messages 5, and 7-16 inclusive, briefing officer question 2, debriefing officer question 1 & 2. B-Wing spelled incorrectly in message 2. Likely spelled incorrectly in message 4. Corvette Trump has starfighter orders. CRS Aqua has wait orders in position 1 but it cannot return fire as its' turrets have been removed. Platform name should be Lindys' Eye. X-Wing group Rogue has been armed with Proton Torpedoes but has no orders to attack the platform. X-Wing flight Rogue-3 has the FG obeys player orders box checked.
Mission 5: Multiple sentences missing punctuation. Spacing issue in messages 6, 10, Briefing officer questions 1-3, debriefing officer messages 1 & 2. Your spelled incorrectly in briefing officer question 2. Missile Boat group Forceful will never arrive due to them having the arrival condition being that their own flight group must be reinforced instead of the players' FG. If you damage an X-Wing and it goes to hyperspace, it does not trigger the primary mission objective as completing; you must destroy all containers and the platform whilst having at least one X-Wing alive for it to count. X-Wing Grey should have a departure condition of the Platform being destroyed; instead it has a departure condition of 100% of X-Wing Grey must be destroyed. Happians were not assigned as an enemy IFF even though they are hostile towards the player. Primary Mission Complete message Return back is redundant. X-Wing spelled incorrectly in the second message in that string. Modified frigate joy has a negative bonus goal which is not possible. Modified frigate joy has starfighter orders.
Mission 6: Multiple sentences missing punctuation. Spacing issue in messages 1, 10, 12 Briefing officer questions 1-3, debriefing officer messages 1 & 2 twice. Modified corvette group breaker has starfighter orders. Y-Wing yellow has Torpeodes assigned but there are no craft for torpedoes to be used on. Primary mission Failed message do not return back is redundant. Mission briefing states there are capital ships but non are present in the mission. Your spelled incorrectly in debriefing officer question 2 response.

EH Battle 96 Battle name: Deep Strike Medal name: Medal of Expulsion The Emperor's Hammer has been around for quite some time now, and its base of power has been solidified. Rebel strikes at places like the Aurora system are few and far between. The EH has taken its toll on the pilots, so it has decided to give something back to them, the TIE Olympics. The TIE Olympics is a series of events created for Emperor's Hammer members, designed to put their skills to the test. They will face events like Mine Racing, Dogfighting, Cargo Inspection, and Capital Ship Strafing. All of the "enemy" targets will be remakes of the original craft, equipped with the standard weapons and shield systems. They will be piloted by droids. However, the lasers and missiles will be real, so the pilots still have to fear for their lives. Of course, if a ship were to be destroyed, most likley the pilot would be rescued and given the normal bacta treatment. It's dangerous, and you signed up for it. Mission 1 - Capital Ship Strafing Event This is your first event. You will face a series of capital ships, one at a time. You are to destroy those ships. Destroying 4 will get you 3rd, 8 for second, and 10 for first. Mission 2 - Dogfighting event You will face several groups of starfighters, ranging from Z-95s to A-Wings. You are to destroy all of them. Destroy 15 for third, 25 for second, and 40 for third. Note: During this mission, the Rebels will launch a strike against the player and the vessels watching the event (a passenger liner and and ISD). The player will be alerted to the Rebels' presence, and will be given the option to fight or leave. This will occurr after the primary mission objectives are complete. Mission 3 - Purge the system The Rebels have launched a strike deep within EH territory. They will pay for this. You will participate in a direct strike on the main invasion force, consisting of many capital ships and starfighters. Your objective is to destroy the main capital ships carrying their leaders. Do so, and the strike force will fall apart. Mission 4 - Suprize at the Fallback Point We have destroyed the main portion of the Rebel strike force. However, many fighters remain. We will not let them escape. An independent platform owner sold out on the Rebels, and has revealed that his platform was to be a fallback point for the Rebel forces. You are to destroy any that enter the area. Mission 5 - Destroy the Supply Depot Our friend on the platform was able to intercept some communication relays pertaining to a Rebel supply deopt near to where their base is. We have been able to find the depot, but not the base. You are to destroy the depot and most of its starfighter resistance. However, let at least one of the starfighters escape. If we are correct, its exit vector will lead us directly to their hidden base. Mission 6 - Destroy the Hidden Base Thanks to your efforts at the depot, we have located the Rebel base. This is the place they launched their deep strike from. You will make an example of the base, and destroy it. Let no Rebel escape!
