A little goofy, but solidly executed with some minor issues (missions can complete before the objective you were briefed on is achieved), and some excellent briefing animations.

It was nothing noteworthy. The concept was interesting as it often is with Ender but the missions themselves except maybe the last one, were nothing to tell home about. And even the last one was somewhat vague in its objectives.

It's an original one, #19. Flying a T/B in an interdiction role is not something ordinary, and it was fun to tweak the power management of the Flying Brick while attempting to bring down other fighters and bombers. Definitely worth a try if you want to try something else from the usual kill'em all in a T/D or T/A.

Pretty good battle. But unfortunately also pretty buggy. I had to play mission 3 four times until I made it to the end without XvT crashing on me.

An entertaining battle, the TIE Bomber is always a fun craft to fly, and the new and improved Advanced Bomber is just a little bit silly! Slap a beam weapon on, dump the energy to engines, and it's faster than a Defender!

Mission #3 is way too long, endlessly waiting for that final FG of container transports popping up :(
Not to mentuion the TRN picking up the T/Bs smashes into the ISD. For the rest, not bad :)

Alrighty - finally a battle that gives us that best craft of all: the T/B... even if I had to make it myself :) And REMAKE it myself: This battle has not just been updated to include the EHSP and custom .wav package - but also to fix bugs; make the goals more comprehensible; reduce waiting times and all sorts of other things mentioned in these reviews.

Great Battle. Can get tedious in mission 2, there's a lot of waiting for the shipments to go from ship to ship. Mission 4 is great. Congrats to the maker. (Although the mission objectives are not displayed in a manner in which you can understand that a mission has been lost, (i.e mission 2, when you lose the Interdictor).

I really like this as well. Talk about souping up a TB! The only downer is the glitch when you jump from fighter to fighter, not the creator's fault though!!

Good on you Ender for creating a cool little battle with a nicely implemented story! Despite some minor things already mentioned by others, this is one of the more original and fun little XvT battles I've come across. The play balance is good, and the missions play well. Great work mate.

Not a bad battle. But mission 2 could use a little tweaking. After destroying all enemy NR craft, you wind up having to wait quite a while for the CUV's to make their run from the INT to the ISD. I'd suggest either launching these craft earlier, or using some faster craft. Overall a pretty well designed battle.

Good idea for a story would be greatly improved if a new craft based on the Tie Bomber were used. The first three missions seemed to blend together, and you have to keep reminding yourself that you finished the last mission, the final mission was way to easy. The complete battle, even with having to fly Tie bombers seemed to a little too easy.

Overall, nice battle. Not too hard, not too easy. You gotta keep an eye on the battlefield for incoming enemy ships, which is much better than some turkey shooting missions out there.

I good battle. It is not impossible. You must inspect the "MURY?" Ships first. They jump to hyperspace the fastest. The new tie has a few small problems and mission 4 does not go with the rest of the plot. There are a few bugs with the capital ships being able to die. But it was fun and playable so it gets a 4.

Horrible!! The new tie doesn't help you any, and you need to rush your ass off to finish the goals in half of them. Everything is disorganized, and spread out. Needs a lot of work.
There are currently no open bug reports for this battle.

It's a sure thing that if the Tie Bomber had a shield, it could take the place of the Assault Gunboat in many tasks - more like the use of the Y-Wing and B-Wing by the Rebels. Storyline --------- 1. the TIE Advanced Bomber project: "Aquire" The Vanguard still wants to replace some of the pirate fighters they have assigned (especially the PES) for some better fighters. The X-Wing wasn't quite it... And the Commodore brought up the idea of TIE Advanced Bombers. This would at least be cheap. We were able to get a bunch of regular TIE Bombers from the stocks of the Emperor's Hammer. They were originally assigned to allkinds of squadrons before those upgraded. Now we are going to upgrade some of these TIE Bombers. For that we need some shield generators and hyperdrives that will fit in the machines. The corporation Taim & Bak claims they can deliver. You are to inspect their Factory at Aurora IV and check which part of the station hold the part we need. After that the Vanguard will launch Heavy Lifters from Mosquito Squadron to pick them up. 2.the TIE Advanced Bomber project: "Delivery" We safely acquired the parts we needed from Taim&Bak, but now we still need to install them into the T/Bs we have. For that we need mechanics who can do that for us. While we were out getting our parts and warding off a few Rebels, the INT Artemis has had a lot more boring time flying some Mechanics and their Tools in from our bases near the Mi'Suh Zone. These the Artemis will be bringing to the Vanguard at our regular base of Pyrath. You'll be flying patrol in case of trouble. 3.the TIE Advanced Bomber project: "Patrol" Wing XV has bee equiped with the new TIE Advanced Bombers now. So we're ready to test them. The first test will be an easy one: good ol' Customs Inspection... Yes I hear you sigh already... but this work has to be done too. And if the T/AB can't do this - WHAT can it do? The mission objective might be known to you: inspect all craft around the Naval Base. Check out the handling and speed of the fighter, see if you like it. Player Craft: TIE Bombers, Interceptors, Fightors or Advanceds 4.the TIE Advanced Bomber project: "Extermination" Thanks to the excellent support the Rebel have given us during this operation, we've now already tested our T/ABs against the Rebels in combat. That together with the inspecting job means we already know quite well how the craft performs. As a final test we'll try out the T/AB on a group of Squatters which have taken over an abandoned EH Platform in the Minus Cluster. It might be abandoned - but that don't mean they can just take it afterall. You are to destroy the scum with your TIE Advanced Bomber, then return to hangar for a last evaluation. NOTE ------------------- You need the XvT (or at least all the ships involved there), as far as i know no other patches are needed. Make sure you all have the update by lucasarts installed. TIE Advanced Bomber Note ------------------------ The T/ABs in the game are no real T/ABs but mission-modified T/Bs, which have added speed, shields, hyperdrives and double missile loads. Because of a bug inside XvT this means you can lose any of these features when you jump to another craft then the one you started in. This could be fixed by a special OPT but for the moment this is a easier way of doing it w/o adding extra patches etc. Other Information ----------------- This is the Second release of my second battle and first on this platform. Bugs could arrise - please mail me if they do - also if you have hints, death threats, questions or apraisals.COM/VA Ender mBind/Wing XV/ISD Vanguard GS/SSx3/BS/PCx5/ISMx13/MoT-2rh-4gh/MoI/LoC-PSx79/DFC/CoL/CoB/LoA/OV [DRAG] {IWATS-GFX-IIC/1/2/3-M/1/2-SM/2-TT-XAM-XTM-XTT} Corrections: ------------------ Corrected by CA:TAC/RA MArcin Szydlowski Mission 1: -briefing corrected -ship locations changed Mission 2: -briefing tags error corrected -additional corrections -Mothership for CORT and MUTR changed Mission 3: -no corrections Mission 4: -briefing tags corrected
