Platform attack but with no real bombers, just TIE Advanced! On Hard, you're likely to end up needing to take down the PLT with lasers most of the way. Not great!

Standard bombing run battle. You have to take out a few containers while you're at it, but there isn't much pressure on you (on easy at least). The constant missile spam from the platform was annoying to say the least, I didn't see a way to target any warhead launcher either so just take it out the platform ASAP. So-so battle, play it for points.


Kill some easy containers and then destroy a platform. The platforms are beefy but you and your wingmen have rockets so be sure to let hell down on that platform. Not too bad, especially knowing you can refresh rockets by simply dying. They shoot some missiles at you but whatever, it is what it is. Decently designed mission. No real starfighters to fight.

I played on Easy. There's not much required in the main objectives, it looks like most of the stuff is in the secondary objectives. You just kill a Platform and some containers, which goes pretty quick.

Simple and quick, yet no-fun-at=all to fly. PLT keeps shooting a barrage of advanced missiles and I had to take it down the old dumbfire way. But there wasn't much else to do. Pointless to play this, unless it's for a quick point in the FCHG.

A simple mission that doesn't have much to offer. The primary objective is quite easy, only one primary target, and you have plenty of waves and ordnance to destroy it. Some enemy fighters are trying to stop you, but you're more than equipped to handle it. The main challenge here is scoring, which is a pain. Once the primary objective is complete, there's another whole phase to the battle which exists for no real reason than to rack up bonus points, with many more waves of fighters to contend with. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but the craft counts are excessive. In total over the entire mission, there's about 100 ships to destroy. There's so many fighters present in the bonus section that it's impossible to take them all on in a straight fight, except perhaps on a low difficulty. The dogfights aren't enjoyable, requiring standoff hit-and-run tactics as you slowly deplete their numbers. I fly countless missions attempting score attacks, and I can say this mission takes way longer than it should. The end result is an exhausting, repetitive mission that isn't fun at all.

This mission made me think about what good missions are about.
Yes, this mission is, as a few folks mentioned, rather bug-free (as long as my couple of attempts are a decent test pool) and it allows you to blast a couple of different craft types, but... There's something missing.
There's no sophisticated story line here, the level of difficulty jumps quite severely between difficulty levels (yeah, sorry, I can't think of a way to phrase it better), and there's no real 'thrill' to it.
Overall, this is a solid mission from a technical perspective, but, unfortunately, not much more.

It gets most of the basics right and that's about it. The mission creator is at least somewhat aware of the beauty of cascading waves of starfighters, meaning the next FG will arrive before the previous one is completely destroyed. This is good. Means you will be under constant pressure if that is what its creator wants you to be under and also makes it far more difficult to manipulate the waves of fighters. Having said that, there are some flaws. Namely the Frigate. Sticks out like a sore thumb and it is a missed opportunity on what he could do with it. I wont spoil any of the mission. The CRS is ok, but the waves of Z95 fighters are like fish in a barrel. Maybe we should call them FIB95 from now on. I get what the purpose of it all is and it becomes an endurance fight in the end as, once the primary objectives are completed, you have to fight through a myriad of waves of fighters with increasing difficulty. Serves well for a completion such as... Imperial Storm. ;) But the mission itself offers nothing special and nothing new.********************************************************************************************************* Two mission design bugs. Well, it's a mission design bug which doesn't really interfere.
There are reinforcement FGs which are not correctly configured as the first FG points to itself being reinforced instead of the Player's FG. The FRG doesn't actually flee when it announces it wants to hyperspace out

Very good, very hard, takes a couple tries to plan what you need to do, and if you dont like the support like me, there are a couple easy ways to get rid of them.

nice & exciting one, the FRG & the PLT really give you a hard time and especially the fighter defense that shows up after killing both (CRL + Z-95s), no bugs, good mission

Excellent mission, it' tricky and took me several tries to figure out how to best do it. There are plenty of targets to destroy, although those missiles are a pain. Good mission

Cool Mission. Kind of tough once the Rebel fleet arrives. Targeting the FRG & PLT is hard work. Those A/W's really have a boner for the player craft... I enjoyed it, there are no bugs.
