Not sure why this battle has such high reviews. It is very imbalanced on higher difficulties, and mission 4 takes almost an hour to complete. Often you are heavily outnumbered, you are never given a full load of warheads except mission 4 where you have to laser down 2 ISD's and a VSD because your strike craft prioritize fighters over capital ships, and mission 1, 3 and 5 are all inspection missions. There are also a large number of bugs with the missions as well. The Intelligence Division should have been more oriented towards subterfuge, espionage and sabotage than mere inspection.

# Ta ra ta ta ta, Inspector Gudget... ta ra ta ta ta, woo hoo. Ta ra ta ta ta, Inspector Gudget... ta ra ta ta ta, woo hoo. Go Gadget Go! Go Gadget Go! This battle was well-crafted. A good start for the Intelligence Division. I am still shell shocked from Frodo's battle though, expecting a T/A to appear out of nowhere :)

Plotline is excellent. Briefings are if not the best I've seen in XvT, certainly in the top-five. The missions however are not as brilliant as the preliminaries. Some turn up in a fatiguing dogfighting of never ending waves of enemies, and destroying 3 ISDs with underpowered ammunition can become tedious, nevertheless, the missions are well-made and maintain a high level of realism and the secretive touch of the now-defunct Intelligence Division.

This was a pretty solid battle. I wasn't around for the days of the Intelligence Division, but I felt like I was doing intel as a pilot during these missions. One mission had you take out multiple cap ships with a single load of warheads, and the friendly craft vanished, leaving you to finish the job. It's tedious but easy once you take out the fighter support.

This was a good overall battle. The challenge level was just right. Not too easy, not too hard. I was kinda thrown off by the traitor Imperial craft in mission 3, but I guess the debriefing and briefings gave some clue to what was going on. I hope you make some more ID battles, Linkan!

First to comment on TK's review regarding the feature of some crafts attacking the player only. Simply, take that feature away and the battle will be way too easy. The idea is to keep the player occupied during dog fights at more or less all times, with as little dead-time as possible. All to increase the fun and sweat of dog fights. My personal opinion of this battle is that it's a good one if you play it "realistic", as in not sending all your wingmates home. Then the battle can be enjoyed as it's intended to. People who are after just high scores would probably want to send all friendly crafts home, but if so the battle won't be so enjoyable. Still, that's the players choice. All in all, this is the first battle I've created that I truely enjoy flying, with nice briefings and a good plotline.

Well i liked this battle although Intel could have told us what that substance was:P. A nice set of missions which were not too easy or difficult to complete.

There are a few mission that seem odd to me. In one, there are literally 30 fighters coming at you and only you. They are broken up into waves but I still think a squad has another objective then "kill this one T/A in the middle of a massive enemy fleet" It still has some good missions and briefings though.

All missions missing mission complete message.
2024-10-03
Mission 1: Message "Hey! What'ya attacking me for, you moron Imperial pig!" does not play due to requiring IFF Blue to be attacked, but there is no IFF Blue in the mission. Fact/1 Horadrim Station has orders to Patrol waypoints, but it cannot move as it is a factory. It also has order to protect yellows or blues but there are no blues. MUTR Suggan, CARG Hauler, CORT Nisabee, SHU Petrolion, SHU Sheyala & CNVYR Tatanya have orders to attack GUN Black Raven 1, but they have go home orders first, meaning they will never attack the player. No mission complete message.
Mission 3: Craft spelled incorrectly in the inflight messages.
Mission 4: GUN Red Eagle & T/A Red Eagle do not launch on hard and medium due to having incorrect launch conditions: Their arrival is predicated upon 50% of T/I & T/F Red Eagle 5 being destroyed, but these craft start with the number 1 on hard and 3 on medium. All T/A are given heavy rockets but have orders to prioritize starfighters over starships, meaning on higher difficulties they are unlikely to fire any warheads. Messages about EH and Red Eagle Federation capital ships being destroyed should say "has been destroyed" not "have been destroyed". Message 20 should be enemies' capital ships. Message about Gunboats and T/A Arriving play on medium and hard even though the ships never arrive.

Title: Corporate Sector Incident Missions: 5 Medal: Medal of Berillium Game Platform: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter Author: A:IWTAC/LC Linkan/MC-60 Warhammer/IW/EH E-Mail: eh_linkan@hotmail.com TC Pin: #3832 IW Pin: #127 Required patches ---------------- * EH Ship Patch for XvT Installation instructions -------------------------- 1] Make sure you have the EH Ship Patch for XvT installed 2] Double click the .EHM file, the EH Battle Launcher will install the battle 3] Check the Misc folder in your XvT one for additional material like patches, sounds etc. 4] Press the X-wing vs TIE Fighter button on the EHBL to start the game 5] Create a new pilot and fly the Imperial training missions Description: The idea behind this battle is to let the player become a part of an Intelligence Division strike force in a campaign to find an energy enhancing substance from a project that went wrong some where within the corporate sector. The best thing with this being an ID oriented battle is that when you ask for more information regarding the Berillium or anything else revolving around this battle, I only have to say you're on a need to know basis...and you don't need to know. I hope you will enjoy this battle, I sure enjoyed creating it! *************************** ATTENTION *************************** As a result of the late-night boredom syndrome I have implemented one thing in each mission that doesn't really belong there, or something that's just not right. Exactly what may not always be easy to spot, but I suggest you keep your eyes open while flying. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - THIS LEVEL IS NOT MADE, DISTRIBUTED, OR SUPPORTED BY LUCASARTS ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY.
