I like flying the gunship but this one was just running away.
Good in theory. Reasonably fast mission.

Not a fan of missions flying as a capital ship. Too slow and limited. But at least a M/CRV has a lot of turrets so you can kill anything that gets too close.

Yeah, why not. Something different for once. Genie is right that there's not too much going on. A little bit more stuff to do would have been nice.

A pretty creative mission making use of a gunship. It effectively showcases the capabilities of the Gunship, and displays it's effectiveness against fighters, even the snub fighters of the Rebellion. It could make use of a few more craft attacking the player, however, but as-is right now, it's a pretty original mission.

Let me start by saying that some of what I write here is purely personal preference. I'm sure there are loads of people who delight in flying these bigger, slower craft. I don't care for it, I think it takes a lot of the fun out of it. That said, it was a solidly built mission, no bugs that I noted and an interesting storyline about making off with a gunship(cool). The dialogue was good, and it doesn't overstay it's welcome. Solid mission.

Flying a Corellian Gunship? Are you serious? Kind of boring since all you have to do is engage the attacking fighters with your auto-firing turrets. Quite a challenge though. Good luck in flying a ship that has the same reaction as a snail on valium.

Not sure why it got such good grades from other reviews. You spent most of your time doing nothing. There are some challenges when flying as a capital ship that should not be ignored. You need to have things to do, else you become just a passenger. I do like to see more cap-ship missions. This one though fell flat on its face (for me).

This was another of let's fly a capship mission. However, this one was done better than the previous two I've had a chance to fly. It's not a VSD and it's not a big battle. You actually have to play it smart to run away. It was really nice change of pace while doing the XWA-Frees!

Very funny to get into a correlian ship like this one, the kind of ship we hate when we're in fighters...And I just loved destroying the corvette with my gunship although she looked pretty powerful in comparison of my craft.

A very good battle. You fly in a cap ship as in other missions around, but you're not in the comfort of an ISD like most missions I've seen. You can get killed here. It can be a really annoying mission if you're making a run for the high-score.

It was nice to fly a cap ship instead of the same fighters over and over again. Too bad Ghost and Demon Squadron got obliterated. (Poor Demon 11)

Nice to not have to fly a fighter. Just let the automatic targeting blow up the Rebels while you get to see Ghost Squadron yet again take 99% casualties against a inferior enemy.

Pretty good! An interesting change of pace...I didn't realize how slow those Cap Ships were!!! Anyway, keep up the good work...I'd love to do some more like this!

Title: Steal a Gunship Missions: #1 Medal: N/A Game Platform: X-Wing Alliance Author:FL/CM RogueWing/Ghost 2-1/Wing XI/ISD Immortal (KCP102898@prodigy.net) Installation Instructions: hings you will need to do to play this mission properly. 1] Double click the .EHM file, the EH Battle Launcher will install the battle. 2] Check the Misc folder in your XWA for additional material like patches, emails or sounds. 3] In EHBL, create a new "EH Pilot" in the Game Menu (Check "Prepare for EH Battle"). 4] Press the X-Wing Alliance button to start XWA and fly the battle. 5. Place your shiplist file in your XWingAlliance directory in a safe place and replace it with the one that came with the mission. (it allows you to fly the Corellian Gunship) Description: Several weeks ago, you infiltrated a rebel taskforce. Your goal was to find and steal a rebel tactical computer. You have found one onboard a Gunship in the taskforce. Having taken over the Gunship, you must now escape the rebel taskforce and return to the ISD Immortal. They are awaiting your arrival. Several squadrons off the Immortal are standing by to assist in your escape. REMEMBER: your mission to get the tactical computer to the Immortal is far more important that painting kills on your ship.
