I hated how insanely hard this thing was on /medium/. I had to knock it down to easy to complete it, because I simply couldn't take down all the snubs fast enough and capture the escaping transport all at once. And what the heck is a "blue milk" mission? Certainly not the easy run I thought it was!
I never thought I'd hear so many warning klaxons one right after the other! This is kind of a weird mission, but not terribly difficult. If you're quick you can complete the primaries easily, but then the stuff that comes after makes it...interesting.
Considering that this is the TIE Fighter demo mission, I thought it was interesting. The A-wings were really easy, but believe me, they get harder. This level has to probably be played several times to be fully appreciated, as the craft get harder as you get deeper into the mission. I made it past the primary and secondary goals only to be shot down by an A-wing with their missile. That seems to perpetually spell death for a TIE Fighter. :P I recommend it. It's official Star Wars canon!
I enjoyed the battle. It wasn't terribly hard, nor awkwardly easy. It was worth the points, though I'll admit it dragged on a bit in places in terms of plot and such. Other than that, good job!
I really liked this mission. It was straightforward and fun, and really realistic, something that lacks in many people's frequent use of such powerful craft as the T/D. TIE Fighters are cool!
While the first two missions were okay, the rest were nearly impossible to beat and very annoying. It makes me wonder if the mission designer actually played this thing before releasing it. It was just plain impossible.
Good old TIE Fighting at its best! The dogfighting was great! No shields, just you TIE Fighter with that trusty hull of its. Heh. Try playing chicken with some of those Z-95s. There's a rush. Great mission!
While I thought the battle itself was good, I was really annoyed at all the troubles I had installing the EHSP patch. I had to uninstall and then do a full install of XvT and then a typical install of BoP before finally adding in the patch. It worked, but it took me several days to figure it out!
It was interesting, but the many typos and such kept it from being realistic. The dogfighting was okay, but I wish the plot had flowed better. Average, I suppose.
This mission drove me crazy! I kept dying almost instantly in some cases without running into the asteroids. This mission takes a lot of tactical thought to beat! I appreciate the thought that went into creating such a strategic mission, but I really recommend not flying this on hard unless you're going for the points. It's liable to give you a headache.
I found out after I had flown this one that it needed a patch and that was a little annoying, but despite the fact I flew it in a T/B instead of an E/L I did pretty good and I found it amusing to dogfight in a T/B. I recommend clearly stating that it needs a patch though, and where to find them in the readme. I could have just missed it, but still...
While I feel the plot could have been better developed and a little more fleshed out, I thoroughly enjoyed the battles. I found them to be fairly well balanced, not overly easy, but decent. Nice job!
I loved this mission! The dogfighting was well balanced, and everything seemed to work really well and was very intuative! Great job! I hope to see more missions and battles from this guy!
I'd love to give this a higher score, but based on the fact that it was a copy of a LucasArts battle from the original TIE Fighter game, and due to a number of slip-ups in terms of plot (switching GA Ronin and Thrawn around, for example), I have to give it a zero. I just can't condone any sort of copyright theft.
I'll admit this was an interesting mission, but I was annoyed greatly by the fact that I was promised reinforcements time and again in the initial breifing, only to have that not work. I did finally manage to beat the mission and even complete all the bonus goals, but I'm still trying to figure out the dratted secondary ones! The humorous briefing was interesting, if a little time consuming. I must say the frigates with SLAM technology is an interesting twist, however! Those babies could move! Still, I had to fly this mission over and over and over to finally beat it, and I just got annoyed with the excess log spam over the course of the battle, so I'm just giving this an average score of three.
I had fun with this one, though it took me a few tries to beat it. The most hillarious moment I had was when I was a sitting duck for two minutes in my little TIE, squirming and twisting for all I was worth, surviving only to be blasted to bits two seconds after I started moving. :P
This was a very interesting battle, but it had some rough spots that made it hard. For example, the first mission has you killing off a capital ship with no reloader. Talk about a pain. The first mission alone takes you at least twenty minutes just because you have to kill off the capital ship doing laser runs to bring down the sheilds. Similar problems exist in later mission where no reloader is provided in taking out the capital ships, such as mission four that has you taking out three frigates in a missile boat with you two loads of missles and that's it. Aside from that really annoying thing of no reloader, it was pretty good. I enjoyed them, even though the author had a penchant for using elipses. Keep up the good work!
