I was a bit on the fence for a score, but it's well executed, well planned, and honesty pretty fun from start to finish. Yes you have to wait 2 minutes before anything happens in most missions, but considering they're all patrols (and are setting a mood), I think that's fine. Mission #3 was my fav, although I had to rely on craft jumping to spread the torpedoes around intelligently.
An enjoyable mission, though with some questionable weapons loadouts - in any difficulty other than Easy, your Missile Boats lack the punch to destroy the Frigates and Cruiser in addition to the freighters and A-Wings that swarm you. I was also under the assumption that the Dark Brotherhood was restricted to Interceptors only?
Solid battle. A good plotline, with the treat of flying a variety of roles which keep the player on his/her toes. Some parts seem excessive about waiting and there is some poor coordination of your fellow operatives, which will force you to sink a SHPYD on your lasers only. The lack of reloading craft is certainly a handicap and becomes detrimental to the battle's overall experience. But is a good bunch of points of FCHG worth trying. Fun to fly.
Although there were some parts that were annoying or stupid, this battle is actually very good and I enjoyed it. The last two missions are a real challenge.

A nice sequence of events, put together to combined a pretty good battle. It may not give you night-mares, but could keep you burning the midnight candle.

Title : Black Omega: Combat Missions Author : Marcin Szydlowski (#3203) Platform : X-wing vs. TIE Fighter: Balance of Power Number of missions : 4 Medal : Crescent with Ametyst Star Required patches ---------------- * EH Ship Patch for BoP Installation instructions -------------------------- 1] Make sure you have the EH Ship Patch for BoP installed 2] Double click the .EHM file, the EH Battle Launcher will install the battle 3] Check the Misc folder in your BoP one for additional material like patches, sounds etc. 4] Press the Balance of Power button on the EHBL to start the game 5] Create a new pilot and fly the Imperial training missions Introduction ------------ This battle is a set of combat missions where the Black Omega battleteam has been used. You fly the role of an unnamed pilot, a newbie member of Black Omega. Mission 1 - Cover Attack on Rebel Base: Black Omega has been assigned to the Frigate Provoker to participate in an attack on Rebel base in the Ontagio sector. This base has low strategic value, however it's a resupply depot for enemy border forces and destruction of it will cut those resupply lines. Mission 2 - Patrol Duty in Sector 23A: ESC Brotherhood's Reach has dropped Black Omega in sector 23A. The squadron is here for a standard patrol. It's one of the remote sectors, but the Dark Council has received reports about enemy resupply convoys passing through the area. Black Omega will stay on patrol duty and engage any enemy ships if needed. In case of trouble, STRCK Invigorator has been assigned as support for Black Omega. Mission 3 - Intercept Enemy Cargo Delivery: Thanks to intel reports from Black Omega flight recorders, we now know that the Rebels are transiting a lot of cargo through the area and we must stop them. This time Black Omega, has been assigned to the INT Enslaver ammong other squadrons. The INT will stop the Rebels from escaping while Black Omega will intercept enemy fighters. Our bombers will finish off the cargo ships. Mission 4 - Defend Platform Ariel: We have constructed a space platform in sector 23A, to prevent the enemy from sending convoys through the sector. It is likely that the Rebels will attack however, and Black Omega has been assigned for sentry duty. Your orders are to make sure that platform Ariel will survive.
