What is there to say but: Gunboats galore! :) A chance for yourself to show off your skill in this versatile (but large) craft.
Battle Bug Reports

M1 had a bug where one of the primary objectives was to inspect some craft. The craft were automatically inspected as soon as they hypered in without me doing anything. Kind of defeats the purpose of the objective, though it wasn't game breaking.

Title: "Gunboat Duty" Missions : 5 Game Platform :TIE Author : FL/LCM Matti Kuokkanen/Stalker 3-1/Wing XVIII/SSD Avenger Author Email : matti_kuokkanen@yahoo.co.uk Medal: Star of Starwing Required patches ---------------- * none Installation instructions -------------------------- 1] Double click the .EHM file, the EH Battle Launcher will install the battle 2] Check the Misc folder in your TIE95 one for additional material like patches, sounds etc. 3] Press the TIE Fighter button on the EHBL to start the game 4] Create a new pilot and fly the first battle A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away GUNBOAT DUTY In the old time of Empire, The Starwing Assault Gunboat was the most advanced fighter in the galaxy. It's speed, shields, weapons and hyperspace capability were such balance, what no one had seen. However, technology moved on. More advanced fighters were designed, and soon the Gunboat lost many it's superior capabilites compared to new advanced fighters. The Rebels got fast and maneuverable X-Wing and A-Wing fighters. TIE Advanced, TIE Defender and Missile Boat were designed by Empire. Starwing Assault Gunboat is no more so transcendent than what it was before. But still it is powerful, fast and maneuverable for most missions. Mission 1 - Finish training You are assigned to platform NL-37 to finish your training. In your first real mission, you need patrol in Navigation Buoy area, inspect craft and stop smugglers. There shouldn't be any hostiles. Yeah, right. Mission 2 - Heading to ISD Terminator You fly your Gunboat from platform NL-37 to Imperial-class Star Destroyer Terminator. You are part of a supply convoy. Travel is long, so the convoy needs to go through several jump points and stop in supply depot for refuelling. The convoy has an escort Corvette group Gladiator with TIEs. In supply depot, an Escort Frigate in guard. Mission 3 - Raid against Rebel convoy Scout Craft have spotted a Rebel convoy. Without hesitation, The Commodore of ISD Terminator orders a strike against the convoy. Two flights from Mu Squadron destroy the convoy using advanced warheads. Mission 4 - Reconnaissance System Patrol Crafts have spotted some activity in near an Imperial mining planet. You need go there with other Gunboats from the Terminator to verify situation. You have given Heavy Rockets to kill capital-class ships. Mission 5 - Strike against Rebel base Grand Admiral Thrawn has given orders to destroy a Rebel base. Mu flight III will hyper in first and report situation. After that comes an entire squadron of advanced fighters to destroy Rebels.
