X-wing in TIE Fighter project

Battle Reviews

Cant say this one thrilled me. I like the idea if the Imp versions of the XW training missions tho.
Mission just seemed overly simple and it didnt really matter what you did.
Seem pretty well balanced across the difficulty levels.

An interesting combat simulation. Mind my words as i'm a first timer at TIE Fighter classic, so my opinion might not have much weight, but I did enjoy the myriad of objectives to do, and to outsmart Rebel craft in a TIE Fighter for sure.

I would have given this an easy 5 for the story and the effort with the custom wav files but the 30 min of game time (so still 7.5 min real time) to wait for the bonus objective craft to finish their mission just killed the mission for me.

This was the first X-Wing mission that came to mind when I heard about this concept, so I was excited to play it. I did like it a lot, but... I think the mission goals are assigned in such a way that makes it pretty easy for you to bypass what this mission is all about. I still like it a lot and definitely recommend giving it a go, but I feel this one could be a whole lot better with just a few tactical tweaks.

This is one of the most fun missions I've played in awhile. The sheer amount of terror and destruction a good pilot can unleash in a simple T/F sometimes seems incredible. The sheer terror you feel at the same time knowing you are just one stray blaster bolt away from explosion is also a feeling that makes let's you grow soft in cushy shielded craft. I have no criticism on this mission and am giving it a clear 5.

It's a fun mission, in a TIE/LN, with a custom voice pack. What more could you want?

It's certainly a very interesting take on the concept of playing X-Wing missions from the Imperial point-of-view! Obviously the mission plays out a little differently from the 'real' one, but it's always good to see an Imperial victory. ;)

Another one of the X-Wing in TIE Fighter missions. As said in other reviews I realy love the idea for this set of missions. The plotline was nice and the mission well done. An easyly earned FCHG point.

A fun battle (and it's not often I'm playing TIE in an actual TIE Fighter!). Only thing keeping it from a 5 is it was a *little* too easy when playing on the Medium difficulty level.

This mission has very good rhythm and atmosphere, all in the classic shieldless TIE Fighter. Well done!

Welcome to the 'X-wing in TIE Fighter' project!

My aim is to adapt many of the Missions and Tours of Duty from the original X-wing game, making them playable in TIE Fighter.

Each mission is re-created as closely as possible to the original, and then carefully altered to present the missions from the Imperial point of view.
Although this means each mission has a different outcome from that presented in the X-wing game, efforts have been made to ensure the 'timeline' remains the same.
Significant events that impact the wider Star Wars timeline still occur, although perhaps in a slightly different way. This has been done to create a series of
enjoyable, winnable missions that will not, ultimately, break the EH's own background!

Each mission, Free of otherwise, will be as close to the original as possible if the game is set to 'Ewok' (Easy). As the difficulty increases, so does the amount
of required adaptation. In X-wing, one or two Rebel fighters would destroy waves of Imperial fighters - whereas one or two Rebel fighters would be easy pickings
for even a single player-controlled TIE Fighter. So, additional flight groups are added, given missiles, and so on.

The Free Missions

The optional/training battles in X-wing took the form of simulated versions of missions flown by Rebel pilots. Here, those simulations have been adapted for Imperial
use. Now, you can fly those missions again, but this time in service to the Empire! Many of the training missions will be presented as a TIE Fighter Free Mission.
This one is just the first!

This mission recreates an incredible rescue operation for one of our most daring X-wing pilots, Halley Kadorto.
Rebel Intelligence had gathered information of a secret rendezvous location where the Empire would be transferring Mon Calamari slaves and various war material to an
arriving Star Destroyer. A combined force of X-wings, Y-wings and Freighters was assembled for the mission. Red Squadron's X-wings would first engage the TIE Fighter
escorts, as Gold Squadron's Y-wings hypered in behind them to disable the Freighters. Halley identified which craft were carrying slaves and the Rebel Freighters were
brought in to receive the liberated Calamarians. The entire operation was planned to be safely concluded before the Star Destroyer Warrior could arrive. You will ensure
that Kadorto fails this time!
