Actually a very nice little mission with no issues at all. You actually start out with half a load of warheads.
SPOILER/TIP: You get attacked by a rebel force near the end of the mission led by a M/CRV. Take a load of bombs/rockets and just erase it from existence as soon as it hypers in. Laser everything else :)

Another great remake of the original TIE Fighter battles. I have a problem with the last mission – it is a large furball and you really really need to follow instructions. As the INT gets taken down you really have to get near the platform to disable the three fleeing craft as you only have a few seconds before the hyper out and the mission is a failure. Don't get spooked by the missiles from the platform just point straight at them and laser them down. Took me something like 10 retries to get it done.

Here are some of my observation after trying out TFTC for the first time.
• I very much miss the pause while looking at the goals or mission map
• I very much miss the alt-T option
• with this stuff the game is VERY MUCH more challenging and fast...  after getting smacked by Z95s 4 times in a row on mission one on hard, I toned it down to medium which was a way more pleasant experience
• I consider myself an experienced and good player of the oldies, but it took me like 5 retries for B1M1 on medium to finish...  either a random laser volley (yes... volleys are a real death sentance for T/F) or a crash into one of the freighters while trying to use them for partial cover.
• Unlike the original TF I find the unlinked lasers a much more fun option (probably just my subjective opinion)
• The dock with the reload craft and fire unlimited missiles doesn't work as they will detonate on the docked craft and insta-kill you both
• goals dont scroll so if there's a lot of them you can't see them all
• sometimes the background music just stops working. restarting the game fixes it
• looking at the controls I clicked the "prtscr" button and had the onedrive popup with bloatware crap, it instantly crashed the game with no errors. After telling onedrive NO, NEVER...  no problems anymore.

Flew this for the Remob4 competition on hard. It was not too hard and fun to fly. There were some issues on mission 2, I believe it was simply tested only for medium – should be fixed. The last mission is strange - completely outside the plotline, like it was just pasted there by accident. Still fun to fly.

Flew this for the Remob4 competition on hard. While it is a battle that makes a missile boat mission hard and challenging, it is also horribly linear. You need to figure out the exact series of triggers and targets or it's a quick fail.

Flew this for the Remob4 competition. It's a battle with a decent and solid plotline, well thought out and made... none of that endless waves grinding or solo MIS or T/D vs an armada of rebels. A solid recommendation.

Flew this for the Remob 4 competition. The plotline is plain silly bordering on stupid, but can be finished in something like 40 minutes with all bonus scores and it's quite easy aside from the last mission that takes some serious evasive flying to get all the bonus goals.
I like that not all plotlines need to be kill them rebels, but I also mind that the ISD/VSD are just hanging dead in space not shooting back at hostiles.

I flew this on medium for the Remob4 competiotion without any extra effort. Manage to finish all the missions on first try, they were decent and fun. No grinding! The storyline is okay, but it has the IW as a special force team doing the regular Navy frontal assault missions which is so often the case with our missions but it's really against the infiltration doctrine.

The last mission I had to refly like 20 times until I realised whats wrong.
Normally I'd take adv torps and snipe the CRVs as soon as they hyper in which lets my squadmates take the DREAD right away. The problem is that they destroy it so fast that the TRNs that need to escape don't have time to launch and you can't complete the mission.

A very well laid out battle with no boring endless waves coming at your MIS. The rebel mon cal that appears can be killed in the prior missions if you SLAM at it and bomb it, and than it reappears in the final battle.
SLAMing and bombing it makes the last showdown mission super simple.

Definitelly one of the more interesting battles, the only problem I have with it is that the mission before last the inspection run lasts forever and it's followed by an intense fight. Having been taken out immediately there I had to spend another eternity of inspecting :/

Flew this for the RTF 2021 competition. Tried to go for the highscore, but some of the mission took 5 or more retries and still some of the critical objects got destroyed while trying to survive... Not a big fan of rescue everything or failure missions. Than there was a lot of waiting for the freighters in mission 3 and 4 after the fighting almost 5 minutes of just capturing/docking/hypering.

Flew this on easy for the RTF 2021 competition. First mission is a breeze. The rest were easy to mop up enemies, but alas a LOT of waiting of vessels to capture stuff and return home :/

I flew this on easy mode for the RTF 2021 competition.
It is a fun and solid battle with a plotline that is not horrible and on easy it can be completed in minutes.

Flew this for the RTF 2021. There is literally no plotline here – it is a custom built battle for the needs of a competition long gone. Just kamikaze rammed through it with heavy rockets on unlimited waves.

Is it brilliant or just weird? It's technically perfectly made, but also it's annoyingly strange. Certainly different from anything other then other frodo missions. And weird if I didn't mention it before. (that's 30 words for the RTF point :)

Flew this on easy for the RTF 2021. I guess it was a weird battle when it was fresh, it's probably even weirder now. It has no sane plotline whatsoever and it's silly as hell. It was actually fun to fly it if you look at it as a demonstration of mission building skills.

Played this on easy as part of the 2021 RTF run. There are inconsistencies as the enemy cap ships were destroyed in mission 1 – and they appear again in mission 2. Would be better to have them withdraw when damaged. Using invincible ATRs to capture the FRG is a bit lame, there should be better ways to do it. Otherwise a nice fun battle with lots of custom stuff and an ok plotline.

Played this on easy as part of the 2021 RTF run. The missions were very simple and fast to complete... no nonsense just get in and demolish this guys. I respect minimal use of followup waves which make so many battles feel like Chinese water torture.

It is indeed a fun mission with lots of dogfighting. It was a good balance of being challenging yet still fun. The only bad side to the mission by my standards is that while it was fun and easy on medium (flew it in first run with all bonus goals), it’s waay too hard on hard. I have flown and reflown it on hard 6 times and every time I’d eventually get overwhelmed by dozens of fighters.

Played it on hard and medium on some missions where it felt grindy after reflying several times.
Overall it was fun entertaining, here's what I don't like:
mission 2 STRKCs don't fire back they just hang there... so you get a Y-W park just next to it and blast it with lasers :/
Overall realism could be touched up a bit, but this is often a problem... an ISD would have support craft... 5th mission has ISD and VSD just hanging there with half a dozen T/Is while waves upon waves of Y-Ws shoot salvos of torpedoes.
Where are the support craft, where are the rest of the starfighter screens?
Why are enemies, like so often, kamikazes ... I'd prefer to be annoyed by them getting away than just grinding down cruisers with lasers... there are options to make them withdraw if critical damage is sustained to the hull... hell it would be more likely that the capital ship would withdraw from an offensive mission even if shields were about to fall...

Very well put together briefings, good plotline and execution. One point less than perfect because of annoyingly large waves of enemies, some missions becoming a grind...

Fun and challenging mission, while still not being the „T/F against all odds destroys rebel armada single handedly” difficult. The background story is also fun as with the other missions in the series.
