Squadron News

Warning!!! The following report contains errors. Some deliberate, some accidental. Can you spot them?

The monthly killboards, see Wolve continuing with a strong presence in the Single Player Arena, achieving 3rd place in January. Meanwhile, over at the PvE scene, Wolve took 3rd yet again, with Gytheran grabbing 4th, and Solohan rounding PvE off with 7th place. On the PvP killboard, Wolve made his presence known with 5th place, representing Lambda in all three killboards! Furthermore, Wookiee took 8th. It is nice to see other squadrons vying for places on the killboards. Deep down though we know who the champions are! ;)

The Imperial University now boasts certificates for being able to complete groups of courses. And, as expected, our Ranger has been very prolific! He has already achieved the following certifications: Internet Technology, Naval Doctrine, Writing, Mandalorian Studies (not to be confused with Wookiee Studies), Galactic History and Flight Operations.

And, finally, something which I seem to have a hard time uttering the words. Effective as of February, I will be stepping down as the CMDR of Lambda Squadron. It was not an easy decision, but it feels right. I served as the Lambda CMDR for almost 2.5 years. I am happy to see EH grow stronger and stronger despite of me. There are a lot of great people spread across the fleet, using their spare time to make EH a better place for all of us. I will continue to be part of EH and part of Lambda as a regular flight member pilot. Solohan will be taking over as the new CMDR. I am confident the squadron will continue to be great in his competent hands and paws.

There are various competitions held by several EH pilots. Currently in the spotlight, we have the following competitions:

• Commodity Rush Time!: The Game is Elite Dangerous. The Mission is Selling Resources and Commodities. Organized by Legion.
• Scouting New Star Systems: The Game is Elite Dangerous. Using all Exploration tools to map out and survey systems. Organized by Legion.
• Thunder Assassin Invitational: The Game is Elite Dangerous. Earn credits with ONLY Assassination missions. Organized by Legion.
• Puzzled Pilotmania: Features 6 timed puzzles spread over 6 weeks. Organized by Witchblade.
• SWTOR Conquest Point Challenge: Contribute to the weekly Guild Invasion goal by achieving conquest points. Organized by Aardvark.
• Analyzing the Ishtari Tactics: EaW 2v2 League. There are still a lot of weeks to go! Organized by JetMech.
• TIE Corps Jigsaw Puzzle Part 2: Each month a new puzzle will be announced and pilots will compete for the best time Organized by Vaner Van_an.
• The Challenge with Words: At the beginning of every month, VA Marenta will generate a word search and post the link. Organized by Marenta.
• It is Them! Blast Them!: Game is Elite Dangerous. Email Miles Prower a screenshot of your bounty voucher sheet for your session. Organized by Miles Prower.
• Spot the Error!: every Lambda Report will contain deliberate (and sometimes accidental) errors. Can you spot them!? Organized by Genie.

Be sure to check out all the running competitions. As Lambdas, to know the competitions you are eligible for, under "Units Involved" it must be listed as "TIE Corps", "Battlegroup I", or "Lambda Squadron".

Closing Comments

Remember everyone, the Emperor's Hammer is full of options for everyone. Single Player, Multiplayer PvE and PvP. Several different games. Several different types of non-flying competitions (puzzles, jigsaws, word searches), fiction, art. The list goes on. Pick from the EH buffet the things you enjoy doing and see you out there.
