Those missions are definitely 'lost' and rightfully so. There is no relation between them and they are not even interesting by themselves.

Very nice big skirmishes that feel very Star Wars-y with a bit of coherent story and some variance in them.

This battle showcases five experimental TIEs with one mission each. These are, for the most part very unbalanced craft with one over powered key feature. Nice to try them out. Why not.

Designed as a training battle that's supposed to each you some very useful skills. It kind of does - except it does not: Either you know which tricks to apply or you have to figure it out yourself.

Uninspired mission with waves, after waves, after waves... after waves... Mission three literally took me 58min of shooting down fighters that did not really do much other than fly in circles. It's like looking at a fish tank. Also a bit buggy.

These are interesting and divers mission and they even accommodate a decent story line. Only the Star Destroyers in mission 5 are a bit lazy. They just sit there ans watch while you go back and forth 10x to pump at least 80 rockets in these stations.

Personally I do not take much pleasure in battles in which they make you fly non-imperial craft - especially if there is no explanation for it. What is done right here is that they do not expect you to take on capital ships on your own. Your Star Destroyer will do what it was build for: destroy stars, uh cap ships and bases, I mean.

whoops. that was ist? surprisingly quick battle. I guess it is nice to fly regular old TIE Fighter again now and then. and that about covers it.

Starts out like a regular battle. The last three missions though take full advantage of what can be done in the X-Wing Alliance engine in terms of creative mission design. I would say it is a must-play.

These are short and frankly not very interesting missions. Since there is no real overarching story and hardly mission briefings or debriefings at all, it is a bit puzzling why these missions have been compiled into a battle.

In most missions you have to take out too many capital ships and bases with an insufficient load out. If you had double load out and rockets it might be ok to fly return to your hanger bay ten times to rearm (not every mission has that option though). But with a standard load out and torpedos it's just pure grind. And on mission four you need to be fast too before your cap ships get destroyed.

Is it as good as 'The History of the ISD Immortal' - nope. There is some story, but not nearly as much and not as neatly tied together. Also mission three seems close to impossible. Mission goals and briefings do not really mach up. Some issues with hypering to the final region.

Very good quick battle with a good story idea. Your fellow flight group defects to the rebels. The rebel base they fled to needs to be destroyed as well as the pirates that supported them and the pilots need to be captured.

Very good battle with lots of back story taking you back from before A New Hope until after Return of the Jedi. The five missions go by fast. Actually, it has the potential of being extended with additional battles.

For this battle you literally do not have to do anything - on easy at least. In all six missions you can just wait it out, do nothing and watch your wingmen perform the mission goals. I guess that's how it is supposed to feel to fly for the overly mighty empire.

First it would not launch with Emperor's Hammer Battle Launcher. The EHBL just kept crashing. After copying the files manually from the zip archive, three out of four mission critical ATRs keep crashing themselves into ISD Immortal while trying to get into the hangar bay.

Besides being utterly boring, this battle is full of bugs. In missions four and five you have to watch out for your fellow pilots not to destroy the mission critical ships that are supposed to be captured. In 5 in addition sometimes the flight groups that are supposed to disable the target just fly around in circles while you do not have a ion gun. Upon that mission failed messages on victory. If you don’t have to do this for a competition, skip it. It’s a nightmare.

This is a boring battle. Not much happening. Flying that ship is essentially very similar to the gunboat. There are much more interesting battles. So nothing to see. Move on and play something else.

This is the solid continuation of battle TC 8. Again, really well written overarching story. The final battle takes the engine to its extremes with the number of capital ships involved.

Very good overarching story line with long descriptive text that do not get boring. I really enjoyed playing this battle and I am looking forward to the story being continued in future battles.

I am really torn between giving this battle 5 stars for creativity and innovation and 0 for its bugginess. So I settled for 3, but that does not do it justice. All missions are vastly different from each other and its not just dumb shooting. You get to fly a lambda shuttle just to pick up a YT in the same mission. How cool is that? And then there is mission 4. If you make it to the end against Jedi skill pilots then mission critical TRN Omega keeps committing suicide after boarding the station by crashing into the antenna upon departure. The ATR does the same thing but for it it is not mission critical to survive. So I litterally had to repeat it 10 or more times for it not to crash itself.

I will give it four stars for its megalomania. An SSD, tons of capital ships. 360 enemy fighters in the last mission alone. Unfortunately, missions three and four are actually to parts of the same mission. That means that certain capital ships in mission three are set to 'invincible', so they are still there to be destroyed in mission four.

Direct successor to the previous battle. This time you take an ion drive factory space station from the rogue imperial battle group. Well that just about sums up the difference to the previous battle then. It's alright.

Solid battle that you fight against a rogue imperial battle group. You force parts of them into submission until they all return to the course. Sounds repetitive? Well, it is a little bit. Missions four and five are almost exactly the same except for two additional TRN that you must not miss.

I like it. You fly mostly for the rebels only to find their base and betray them in the end. Salvage what is good and kill the rest. That base is huge / there are an incredible amount of ships in action. Also, there is a good diversity in different mission types.
