Terrible mission. Slaughtering wave after wave of mindless opponents may seem like a fun thing to do, but after several minutes, this just turns tedious and boring. TUGs were a funny addition, but overall nothing can reverse the fact that this mission should have never seen the light. Avoid it.

There's no good way to say it. It's terrible. Completely terrible. There's no plot, not that it matters in free missions anyway. You're supposed to protect a convoy, though it never gets attacked, and leaves immediately after arriving. Your goal is literally just destroy all rebel craft. To make things worse, a massive pirate group arrives, supposedly to attack the convoy. Mostly they just attack you, and they don't count for mission completion. And of course, there's tons of them. The difficulty is all over the place. I found easy to be harder than normal, thanks to a collision bug, and hard is nearly impossible unless you have unlimited patience. Depending on how it plays out, even flying on easy might still be too difficult for the average pilot. The entire mission is a series of dogfights while severely outnumbered. There's a friendly wave of fighters helping you out, but enemy craft almost exclusively target you. Meanwhile they just keep coming. Getting a good score is a time-consuming, soul-destroying grind. Besides the aforementioned patience, you'll have to kill nearly 85 craft. Typically at any given time you'll be outnumbered 8 to 1. If you're familiar with XvT's difficulty curve, you probably know how that plays out. Fight, escape, recharge shields, rinse and repeat. But wait, there's more! You only have one life. Not even a beam weapon to help. Only advanced missiles, so use them carefully. The mission isn't even bug free, with overlapping waypoints. A convoy transport might collide with the ISD, which prevents the pirate force from arriving. If you're playing on hard, you absolutely need to clear the pirates to trigger one last rebel ship in order to complete the mission. (Hint: order the ISD to wait when it arrives.) Bad design, bad gameplay, and not fun at all. The whole thing is a mess. Would not recommend to anyone.

I agree with the other two. terrible mission that makes no sense whatsoever. First of all - why are the rebels sending in T/Fs and T/Bs (which btw don't have hyperdrives). Second, (played on easy) the rebel fighters all hyper in at 50% shields. Worst of all: the friendly T/As desert you! I wonder how the other reviewer thinks the creator has "an in-depth working knowledge of how to create exceptional missions". Unless exceptional means exceptionally bad...

Absolutely horrendous mission. The person that made this has no concept of mission design fundamentals. I'm sorry if this hurts, but the mission should never have been approved. First and foremost, the mission cannot be completed (as noted in other reviews/bug reports) unless you play it on "EASY". Second, there are an overwhelming number of fighters in this mission, so much so that I think the mission has reached the number that the game engine can display, and thus people do not kill all the rebel ships (because they simply never show up), but every one of these ships personally attacks the player craft. Nothing but the player craft. I don't know about you but this is boring as hell. And when it's not boring it's annoying. Avoid like the plague.

I enjoy challenges, but his one goes a little too far. When you play it on Hard and Medium, here what happens: Hard: If you manage to destroy (Very hard Hit & Run Tactics) the Rebel ships, the convoy appears, then dissapears, then a few A/W's, but nothing more, so you are left with over 35 minutes of mission time and the goals menu shows you've only destroyed 96% of rebel ships. Medium: The same thing happens, although this time when the convoy leaves, you get multiple squads of enemy Mod Tie Interceptors, (200% shields), a few Z95 Headhunters, and a few X-Wings, but the same thing happens with the rebel ships, only 96% destroyed. I dont know if this is a glitch or is made on purpose to make you destroy every enemy before a lone rebel ship comes in, but the fact is the mission is unbalanced and very frustrating, since you only get 1 wave of 1 craft for the whole mission. Try it if you want, but I would not recomend it for those who lack the patience and skill.

This is a very well created mission. The maker should be proud. It is clear that he had an in-depth working knowledge of how to create exceptional missions. Good work!
