Battle Reviews

I'm sorry but I have no idea how people scored this battle so highly. The first two missions start out okay, there is a bit of waiting around in mission #2. But then mission #3 onwards is terrible. Briefings are bad, craft selection and the issues that brings are bad. I'm sorry, but this may be the worst battle I have ever flown. I'm giving it a 1, because I was able to actually get through all of this. Bugs encountered.

Very funny battle, well organized, but too easy.

Great battle. Balanced and fun to fly, and loved the offbeat, quirky humor. A pleasure to fly and I'll be doing it again for better scores later down the road to be sure :) Thank you for this one. CM Valic

When an old fossil like me can complete an entire battle on hard, it's a very good battle. When the story line is also good, it makes it a great battle. Great Job!!!!!

Battle Bug Reports

In the mission where you fly an 'A-wing', I could barely see my targets due to the fact my beam system icon was in the middle of my targeting. There was also no engine noise.

Mission 1:

You are assigned to a TIE Advanced (Hammer III) and must protect Supply Depot 7 from Rebel insurgents who are attempting to destroy it. The Supply Depot has been disabled by saboteurs, but we are sending two Corellian Transports to repair it. You must hyper in as close as possible in order to be able to stop the Rebel Assault Guboats from destroying the platform! We are sending Dagger flight I as a reinforcement, but you are our main hope, Hammer III! Time is of the essence!

Mission 2:

You fool! You blew the hyperspace coordinates & hyped in too far from the platform! Now we are short a supply depot in one of our most critical sectors. You should be shot on sight, but that would be too good for you. You will instead be given as a slave in a gift transfer to Slicer Software (see FREE-TIE 88), one of our best supporters in the programming & slicing areas. You will be flying a TIE Advanced with a wingman (yes, he is a failure also) who will be flying in to Slicer's platform in order to protect a ship transfer between Slicer & a ship dealer. You will have no missiles & no beam weapon because we cannot trust you with them at this time. Recent Intel scans of the area have revealed a patrol of R-41's, so beware!

Mission 3:

The morning after your arrival at Slicer you awake to find the Slicer base under attack by a rival corporation who has hated Slicer ever since Slicer was awarded lucrative EH contracts instead of them. Needless to say, they intend to wipe out Slicer with their Nebulon B Frigate (the Hook) and two squadrons of fighters (A-wings & Y-wings)! If they do this, you will join in an ignoble death at the hands of second rates! So, get out to your A-wing (Mazuno II) & take out their fighters while our other craft take out the Hook! *crash* There go the first torpedos! To your ship!

Mission 4:

After carefully analyzing the hyperspace trajectories generated by the FRG Hook in our latest encounter with Hacker Systems, Inc., we have traced them back to their base. The base is a platform, protected by neutral type starfighters and patrol craft. Currently, all the remaining Hacker capital ships are at the base, so the time of our attack is perfect. Now, we are going in to wipe them out completely! You will fly an A-wing (Mazuno I) armed with Advanced Concussion Missiles and will take out the base's starfighter defenses. Once you have destroyed all the enemy starfighters, you may help out the rest of our strike force in destroying the Hacker capital ships and platform.

Mission 5:

With the Hacker base in flames and pieces, we are heading back to the PLT Starlite to celebrate our victory! For your good deeds, you will be freed from slavery upon returning to the Starlite. You are still flying A-wing Mazuno I w/ a depleted amount of Advanced Concussion Missiles (from using some last mission). All you need to do is enter the hanger of the Starlite! What? You're worried about the STRKC Jason, which hyped out early last mission? Bah...Who would be stupid enough to attack us now? Get flying and be silent, or we might not free you after all!
