The IES is a fun ship to fly and the cockpit is nice too ! The battle is straightforward and competent.
My hundred and seventh battle in the TIE Corps.
I actually rather enjoyed flying the IES, so that was a pretty fun battle for me! Battles dependent on patch ships should serve as showcases for those patched ships, and I feel that the missions are very well balanced for the IES, giving you a chance to make use of its benefits, without being too overwhelmed by its weaknesses (even though you will be very aware of them by the time the battle is done...)
This was a well-thought out and well-crafted battle. Some of the smaller things it got so right. I was never left wondering whether I missed something or whether my waiting is all in vein and more. For this it gets a 5.
Original, challenging, and with a wav pack. The missions will require some thinking and rehearsal, since some are demanding not only with flying skills but also tactical planning. Overall a very good battle with lots of original things you don't see often. The IES though, is a nightmare to fly. A real coffin. But give it a try.
What can I say? I hate flying the IES. That said, I like this battle. Nice plotline, no problems, and well balanced. On easy, it's actually easy. I do wish more battles were like this. Go fly it.
The Interceptor Enforcement Ship seems to be the main purpose behind this mission. It's pretty straightforward with some neat elements in the third mission. Otherwise, it just feels like an excuse to fly that unique ship patch.
It's hard to review this battle. The Interceptor Enforcement ship is an interesting craft, because it's very fast, but doesn't turn much; the shields are weak and the three lasers mean it's not easy to recharge the shields; and it has a very strong hull, but you still get your monitors and systems damaged. This battle demands that you think carefully how you approach the mission and you'll have to pay attention to little details, so strategy is critical here. I enjoyed the voice acting. It's clear that most missions weren't meant to be played on hard. Overall, I believe the battle deserves a good rating for giving you something new and for demanding plenty of strategy.

Mission 2: TFC Solar Flare does not return fire upon pirate attackers. Message 'Watch out for those interceptors, they are coming after you' does not appear until the last wave has been destroyed.
Mission 3: VSD Audacious flies very close to the CAS Tortuga, causing the boarding transport to fly through the VSD to dock with the station.
Mission 4: Enemy transports fly incredibly slowly, making them sitting ducks. Warning about the B-Wings appears after they have disabled the casino.

In mission 4, the VSD Audacious returns and is referred to as Burninator

Part of a series about all the different elite squadrons on the Order of Battle. Mission 1: While on route to supply the Hammer's Fist flagship VSD Audacious, the TFC Solar Flare has received a distress signal from the luxury liner The Spacebourn Spirit - which has fallen under attack by pirates. Because the Solar Flare is carrying the Hammer's Fist Elite Squadron Torch anyways, its Captain has decided that they can be deployed to liberate the liner. Mission 2: Finally arriving at the Hammer's Fist flagship VSD Audacious, the TFC Solar Flare can deliver its cargo. Torch Squadron will provide cover for the operation. Mission 3: Slightly puzzled but mostly enraged by the insolent pirate attack on his flagship, the Hammer's Fist Prefect has decided to take care of these pirates himself. The VSD Audacious will frontally assault their pirate's nest in the nearby system and capture it while Torch Squadron provides cover. Mission 4: Having taken over the pirate's nest "Tortuga", the Hammer's Fist has decided to convert it to their own R&R center. The VSD Audacious was however damaged in the last engagements and has returned to PLT Declaration for repairs. Until its return Torch Squadron will patrol the area around "Tortuga" in case the pirates decide to return. Notes ------ HINTS: You may need to call in the TIE Corps to be able to complete all missions. This is the first release of a very quickly made and hardly tested mission.
