It's okay. Feels like traditional X-Wing missions, but without that element of something to threaten your objectives - just some ships to threaten you

XWTC5
Notes:
Mission 1 – Wing mate destroyed 1 shuttle. A lot of fighters unless you destroy the cruiser
Mission 2 – Lots of fighter applying pressure on you while you are inspecting, but no sense of urgency
Mission 3 – Hang out while dogfighting. No pressure on objectives
Mission 4 – Too easy. No pressure from fighters.
Overall:
This battle is a little too simple with no real sense of urgency or suspense like the previous had. It is a story driven battle but suffered from a lack of depth. Objectives tended to not have any pressure and the pilot is basically completing objectives while under fire, except for the last mission which I saw no fighter pressure at all. It’s ok. Minus the one hiccup where my wing mate killed a shuttle immediately after entering mission one, the battle was bug free.

Storywise it's a consistent continuation of XW-TC 4. Though from technical perspective this battle seems slightly worse than the previous one. It still features the large scale conflict mission types. This time, however, there are multiple waves of fighters coming even after the primary mission is completed (mission 2 and 3). It's a design more fitting XvT I believe. It's an okay thing to fly, not too great, not too bad.
There are currently no open bug reports for this battle.

Description ----------- This battle is part of a series of free missions and now battles about each of the squadrons in the ASF doing missions following their squadron objective in their assigned craft. Each mission tries to give a feel and a bit of history of each of the Squadrons. All the storylines of the missions are interconnected and have the ASF Squadron join together against a common foe. In timeline this battle takes place just after the free missions. Part 2 of a Trilogy about Avenger Elite Squadron. Story Line ---------- MISSION 1: "Interrogation of the prisoners we caught finally has started to pay off, even though we only caught some small fries. They tell us of a meeting between higher-ups that will take place in the Minos cluster very soon. This meeting is apparently about shipments lost (to us) and what to do about it. We now also know who we are dealing with: The local New Republic fleet, the Spine Security Force, seems to want some chemical weaponry to deploy against us - but because of Coruscant and public opinion, they cannot produce them themselves. This is where a fairly unknown "neutral" system comes in: Chung Kuo - which apparently has no problems with making and selling chemical weapons to whomever. We don't know much about the system, but we are learning more as we speak. Inspect the two shuttles fast and engage any fighters while crusader hypers in and disables the shuttles. Then provide cover as our own shuttles come in for capture. Avoid heroics and make sure everything goes as quickly as possible." MISSION 2: "The dealers we caught spilled their beans really fast, perhaps too fast if we keep in mind that they tried to trap us with an unescorted freighter before. This is why we want you to check out the site before we send in the VSDII Aggressor. The fact that these prisoners cracked so quickly might be because they are wimpy bureaucrats but then the Rebels would probably suspect them to crack quickly as well. In any case look out for trouble - they might want to destroy their own cache, for example." MISSION 3: "We will now retrieve the containers you inspected. The VSDII Aggressor has launched the first transport flight of Invader Squadron. These will dock with the containers and take them back to the hangar. Because of the attack on the inspection run we obviously want you out there to escort them. The containers apparently don't only contain the finalized nerve gas the Chung Kuo are selling to the NR-SSF, but also the base materials to make these and guns to use them. What really surprised us was a cloaking device found on one of them. We're in the dark on what it is doing here..." MISSION 4: "The ID interrogation techniques paid off once more: we now know the exact course of a large weapons convoy through the outskirts of the Minos Cluster. It's being escorted by a fully equipped cruiser so capture will be difficult. As such, Avenger will just hyper in and make sure all the cargo craft never reach their destination. The mystery of the cloaking device on one of the containers was solved when we could actually look at it. Apparently it was used to cloak the weapons cache from unwanted attention. The reason we could see it at all when we arrived was because that NR-SSF frigate was supposed to pick it up."SCO-TCT-TCS-PROF/FA Ender mBind/CS-10/SSSD Sovereign GOE/GSx2/SSx7/BSx4/PCx7/ISMx16/MoI/MoT-35rh-56gh-6bh/IS-1SR-2GR-1PR/LoC-TS-Rx1/DFC-Rx1/CoS/CoE/CoL/CoB/LoAx2/OV-3E [CNTR] {IWATS-AIM-GFX-ICQ-IIC/1/2/3-JS-M/1/2-OPT-SM/2-TM-TT-XAM-XTM/1/2-XTT}
