RHO SQUADRON REPORT #18 |
REPORTING OFFICER: Rear Admiral Alexandre Morgan, Squadron Commander RECIPIENTS: General Gilbert H. Frown, Wing II; cc: Rho Squadron DATE SUBMITTED: 06.01.2023 |
SQUADRON COMMANDER'S CORNER |
(Piles upon piles of paperwork and datapads covered Alexandre Morgan’s desk, burying the placard reading ‘Commander of Rho Squadron.’ The titles mostly fell along the lines of ‘Squadron ReMobilization 5 Rules’ or ‘ReMob Preparations,’ ranging from memos dispersed to all those at the commander level to Rho-specific internal preparations. Planning for these competitions was rigorous work for all of those involved, but the payoff was of course splendid. Morgan sensed an opportunity in this competition. He knew he could push his pilots to stellar heights, completing all of the simulated tasks ahead of the squadron in record time and a stunning show of force - but that was silly to him. Another test of the ability to buckle down and fly? The Rho family had already shown their prowess there, seemingly now every day. For Rho, Morgan had decided, ReMob was to be a different type of test. A test of the bonds in between each pilot, a test of friendship and camaraderie and ability to work together. Those bonds would be strengthened, the friendships forged stronger in the fire of combat. And Morgan was excited: he knew that Rho was more than a group of pilots flying for the TIE Corps, he knew it was much more. He knew it was a group of friends, a family full of people who lift each other up towards victory - together. Morgan slid all the paperwork aside and found his personal pad. 'Before we start strategy,' he decided, 'I better cover my bases about the previous month so those successes don't get swept under the rug.' He began to compose his report.)
Pilots of Rho Squadron, A fantastic May is now under our belts! We excelled and achieved in countless places, leading to so many achievements and so much activity that I’m excited to present in this report! Besides all of the numbers, though, what really was the best to see was the late-night groupings that have become more and more common, the shenanigans abounding and group gaming on the upswing! This is exactly the type of behavior that makes me proud to be a member of the squadron, a member of the beautiful family I have the honor of leading. A special shoutout is more than due for COL fr0Zen for his indisputably critical work in organizing, inspiring, and maintaining these oft-nightly meetups! His leading from the front sets a beautiful example for the rest of us. In no doubt due to these frequent flyings, we met our continued goal of monthly merit medals! Our goal was to match or beat eight pilots, and we were able to beat it! Nine pilots medalled, demonstrating our continued upswing of excellence, month after month, even in the couple in between competitions - nothing short of outstanding. While these efforts and accomplishments of course do not paint the whole picture of Rho Squadron’s success this month, they are certainly indicative of a month well flown. Congratulations to Ispep, Alexmadv Corachan, fr0Zen, Maston Dane, Westric Davalorn, Davy Jonez, Isabis Kamaria, and Rotarg Kradak, and thank you all for your great work! Equally reflective of Rho’s excellence is our placement on the TIE Corps-wide killboards! Isabis Kamaria put up stellar numbers on the PvP board, netting a resounding first place with 161 wins. Backing up Rho’s achievement on that list is fr0Zen and Davy Jonez at 4th and 7th respectively, and Maston Dane at 14th. Similarly, on the PvE board, Maston heads up our efforts at 8th with over 100 wins! In other news, joining us at the last minute before ReMob is LT Ispep, who we are excited to welcome to our Rho family! If you haven’t reached out and said hello yet, please show Ispep the classic Rho hospitality! Due to their quite prolific playing, the promotion to Lieutenant was swift in coming! Speaking of ReMob, it is now officially upon us! A competition centered around sets of goals each squadron works on completing for rewards, it uniquely challenges squadrons due to its unorthodox premise. Because I don’t want to inundate this section with rousing calls to arms or strategies, check out the temporary section below called “ReMob Rundown,” where you can find all the encouragement, motivation, and competition direction you would ever want! ReMob is far from being the only competition that is running: Davalorn’s War(rior) Correspondents and Wondering Warriors competitions are still running strong, challenging our brains with trivia and highlighting our beautiful games we play, week by week and month by month. June’s theme for the screenshots being the EA Battlefront game series, which I know a lot of us love to play - I look forward to some truly stellar images! Check those two competitions and many more out in the Competitions section below! Congratulations, pilots! It was a month well fought, and we grew even tighter as a group. I look forward to a month of the same during ReMob!
For the Empire! Long may it reign. |

REMOB RUNDOWN |
As I have no doubt that we all know, Squadron ReMobilization is now upon us. Here is a rundown of what we should expect, how we should tackle these things, and how the Rho family is going to attack this in the best way possible!
Now is our chance to strengthen ourselves as a group of friends, pilots, and pace-setters in the TIE Corps! Rho leadership will in these days approaching the beginning of the competition share our strategies and specifics, so let's get our teamworking brains churning! |
COMPETITIONS |
The full list of current competitions can be found in the Competitions Center.
War(rior) Correspondents (Davalorn) General Frown has requested that all pilots begin recording their heroic exploits to be used for propaganda, recruiting, and boosting morale for the folks back home. Pilots are encouraged to use in-game methods (such as turning off HUD elements) to improve the quality of their screenshots. Winning submissions for each category will be determined at the end of each month by a popular vote. For June, the category is EA Battlefront I and II.
Wondering Warriors Trivia (Davalorn) Five trivia questions will be sent out each week using the Timed Test feature on the site. Correct answers earn points and the quickest response times (time taken between starting and submitting test) get more points!
