eek! this battle is soo bugged it's not funny >:/ Mission 1, you are flying Y-wings, you start far to far away from the plt to make this at all easy. the T-wings on Hard have Advanced missiles (if they don't it flet like it) and you have no countermeasures, it's complete and utter suicide, I must admit this tainted my view of this battle from the start. your then faced with the problem that 4 times out of 5 the AI will destroy the PLT not capture it. finnaly your left hanging around while the ATR capture travels the 10 KMs to the plt from the MC90. ARGHHH!!! far too big a distance >:/ Mission 2 you are immediatly hit by 1 of your wingmen because of bad waypoints. again the entry points are too far away. The Sheild generator takes far to long to reach the PLT. The other problem with this mission is that you can complete it even if the plt is destroyed, god knows how. mission 3, you start 40 KM from the asteriod, with everything to full burn it takes 5 mins to get to the first 1, the next 2 are 20 KM apart, this is just crazy distances. if your going to do that there should at least be a beam weapon so you can go faster or perhaps a faster craft than an X-wing. I managed to complete the mission in 15 mins, but thats only because I ignored all the enemies till I had inspected all the asteriods. mission 4 and 5 are a nice change. but who would believe that a commanding officer is so incompetant as not to be able to remember which nav point the enemy convoy will be comming from. Ahh well, the last 2 missions were fun and it's a shame the other missions took so long and were badly planned. As a first ever battle this could be excussed but otherwise this wasn't a good battle and not very fun to fly.

No way as good as the hype. This battle is fairly good, however with a bit of planning could have been much better. Drake says he went for realism, however Mon Cals will stay in a supplie area while they are systematically wiped from existance by 1 Missile boat. Make the Craft leave the area after 12 mins, make it so that if they are destroyed you fail the mission. The objectives weren't to sit around killing everything after the battle was done, however it was far to easy to do so. This made the battle last hours and hours. Some of the missions were rather odd, and the last mission I had numerous problems with the ATR's being destroyed by the Asteriod they were docking with. There were elements in this that made it fun and for me a TIE 95 user the first 2 missions went smoothly and were great fun and I was expecting this to continue. (mixed in with the fun was a slice of difficulty). To Get your wing men to enter you must destroy the satalite asap. This was a good idea and seemed to work fairly well. there was a bit of a challenge keeping the T/D's alive and also disabling the Craft in time to stop them entering hyperspace but this in all was well done, why couldn't this rush to stop things happening have happened in the final 3 missions I don't know. overall if your just going to fly this mission for primary goals and not for score it's not a bad battle. however it becomes far to long and tedious because the mission deginer was trying to add too much realism for the player and didn't think about realism in the orders of the AI.

ok this gets a 2 due to the fact that it is fairly good and quite completeable, the storyline is farily well thoguht throught. However the stoyline is the main problem. 1 craft against multiple X-wings, T-wings and y-wings. Ok so you have re-inforcements however this doesn't make up for the fact that all the craft have at least some form of missile. and couple that with your sheilds and speed being worse than a t-wings >:/ It is really infuriating with the roll probelms I must have killed myself multiple times when the craft rolled too much left when I didn't want to >:/ What I want to know is how curtis got a T/I.... it's a T/B or the TIE phantom. The Fact that the Patching issues were seriously bad, and the competing of the mission was simple a matter of luck or so it seemed, it's worth flying but not really a competition mission.

Do not ever fly this battle for a competition. It's fun the first time you fly it, after then I'd rather jump off a bridge

This mission is a reaonable mission apart from 1 thing, T/I's, Why can't they avoid a stationary Gunboat? Fairly interesting plot, but killing everything b4 the other impy's makes this mission annoying.

Gah this 1 is hard. The first mission opens up fairly interstingly and is a bit on the easy side, from then on it get's harder and harder especailly to get all the bonus gaols (not that that's a bad thing) but when your fighting for you own life and finding it difficult to complete the primary goals saving your wing mates is damn near imposible. They are fairly useless and are only there to draw fire form you if they arn't there then your in trouble. (I'm not a bad pilot but I won't say that I'm up there with the best of them but having to put it on medium so I can complete 1 mission is something I don't normally have to do. The battle and the stoy line are fun and keep your interest through out well worth flying. The craft names were imaganitive and I loved blowing up the Kamikazi Tie fighters (lol) Also on the final mission the X-wings are extremly difficult to stop from destroying the ATR... you have to know how to dumbfire 2 Advanced missile up the exahuts of the X-wings, It's rather irritating and it tkaes alot of practce b4 you can stop them

Great idea to start with... After the first 3 mins it get down to a kill wave after wave of X-wing's and A-wings. 33 X-wings is a bit excessive

Challenging mission if you are going for a hi-score as you have to hit every mine with your first shot.
