It may have an interesting story and be well developed, but there are so many game breaking bugs and balance issues that make it difficult to beat the missions, even on medium difficulty. There was only one mission that did not have a bug in it, some of them had as many as 5. bonus goals were often unbeatable due to mission layout, and there were no secondary objectives at all throughout the battle, even though there were plenty of times where there could have been.

Very interesting piece of work from Dempsey. I enjoyed playing it and it was very well built.
Good variety of missions and didn't feel boring or tedious.
Missing a spark to make it great but really enjoyable.
Lots of GSPs, they got a little much after a while as they were rather evil.
E-Wing was a great inclusion even if you didn't get to fly it.

Really enjoyed seeing the GSP play such a big role in the this battle, as it's one of my favorite support ships. Was very excited about the EW patch, but sad when I realized I didn't get to actually fly it.

COL Phalk Sturm



A good long battle, with a not-so-good balanced levels of difficulty. The plot is solid and well developed, although longer than other battles, you won't notice it, since it's fun and demanding. One word has to be said regarding the Corellian Gunships armed with Advanced Missiles. This is insane and frustrating to a level of quitting. Also, as many other Dempsey missions, you have to be on your toes and eyes peeled because a mission almost in the bag, can go down the drain in a second, for not paying attention to that tiny flight group or that lame transport you should have protected better. Happened to me several times in mission 5 of battle 2. Again, missiles can turn into a nightmare as usual in Dempsey's battles.

This is quite a robust battle built by Dempsey. Overall, with generally one exception, this was an extremely enjoyable battle to fly. If you’re intimidated by the mission count, don’t be. This battle shines in having both a logical and evolving plot, as well as a variety of missions. Pros: This battle has an immersive storyline over the 15 missions. Each mission logically leads into the next, and you feel like you are a part of the campaign. To complement it, the missions change things up, so that you’re not stuck repeatedly performing the same tasks. There are some tricky missions, but also some that are straightforward. Overall, something here for everybody. Cons: I found mission 5 murderously frustrating, even on Easy, and had to re-attempt it many times before achieving success. In the end the mission seemed to just require you to be a distraction to keep the enemy GSPs from smoking your brittle, indefensible transport craft. Not fun. In addition, there were a couple of other small bugs with a couple of briefings leading to a crash, and a couple instances where friendly craft mysteriously lit you up with missiles. For me these dropped the battle from a 5 to a solid 4. Tips: Safeguard your capital ships!

Long battle, but the missions are diverse and interesting. It was fun to battle the E-wing, but I grew tired of facing the gunships mission after mission.

mission 11 continued: tie advanced kappa will attack imperial craft when there are no more enemy craft left. reinforcements do not arrive on hard.

mission 12: bonus goals notficiation does not show up after all bonus goals have been completed. modified frigate galerkis and carrack cruiser makator will only fire on the first ship that attacks them, ignoring every other ship attacking them until their first target is destroyed.

mission 13: bonus goal for destroying shuttle lemchas is set to 0 points.

mission 14: all tie advanced are set to patrol to attack but they never attack anything, even if they are attacked. they simply fly in a circle until destroyed. there is a message about the e-wings having torpedoes or rockets, but the only e-wings that do are assigned to attack the tie defenders while the e-wings that do attack the ISD's have warheads that are for starfighters, not capital ships. e-wing group washort crashes into whatever ISD it is attacking instead of shooting at it. shuttle group kelowna never launches on hard. one of the bonus goals is 100% of ship type tie fighter must be destroyed, which is not possible since its arrival condition is 100% of the players' flight group must be destroyed.

mission 15: no fighters launch from the platform due to the incorrect mothership being set for them. no shuttles launch from the platform due the incorrect mothership being set. This also makes global bonus goals incompletable as a result. scrath one gunship should be scratch one gunship. multiple sentences missing punctuation.

Mission 1: your wingmen will occasionally never shoot any warheads at the enemy capital ships.

mission 3: VSD has starfighter orders. tie advanced gamma will attack friendly gunboats.

mission 4: cannot give orders to your wingmen. imperial fighters attack each other when there are no pirate ships/fighters left.

mission 5: typo (platfom -> platform). Strike cruiser is placed too close to the platform resulting in the ATR's crashing ito it when breaking off their attack runs from the platform. corellian gunship gargantuon 2 is missing orders: once gargantuon 1 is destroyed the second one holds steady.

mission 6: x-wings are placed too close to the VSD devastator and crash into it when making their first bombing run.

mission 7: bonus goals are all set to 0 points.

mission 8: b-wing kilfor does not launch. sometimes one fighter will launch but that is all, instead of the 3x5 that is suppposed to launch.
Assault gunboat mu patrol waypoints will intersect with the VSD devastator and occasionally they will crash into the bottom of the ship before their targets arrive.

mission 9: when there are no more enemy ships, tie defender iota and kappa will attack imperial starfighters. a-wing group dremol will attack b-wing group perrhan and vice versa if they are the closest targets to each other. last bonus goal is incompletable as it requires the destruction of a frigate that only arrives when 100% of the players' flight group is destroyed.

mission 10: platforms do not fire on approaching atrs. tie defender iota will attack imperial craft if ther are no enemy craft left. due to the placement of the frigate and its path close to the platform, atr's will crash into it when trying to evade the platforms' weapon fire. atr's will also frequently crash into the platform due to the fact they are not being fired upon.

mission 11: gunship blissent has a flight path that causes it to crassh into the ISD challenge, causing mission failure. often the challenge and fairchild will not shoot at attacking gunships. tie advanced group gamma has a patrol route that will sometimes cause them to collide with the base isd challenge. tie advanced gamma and kappa do not prioritize attacking fighters.

You serve a tour of duty aboard the Victory class Star Destroyer Devastator, under the command
of Rear Admiral Plitkin. His mission is to remove the nuisance that is the Senaii: a rebellious
species governed by the Lord Protector of the Senaii. The way to achieve this is simple: total
pacification of the Senaii people. Their homeworld is to be destroyed, and their forces are to 
be eradicated. When we are through, they will be back in the stone age. Those that have survived 
Fly fifteen missions for the Empire. Destroy the enemy and see to it peace is restored!

Known issues:
The animated briefing sometimes, but not always, crashes TIE95 for missions 9 and 15.
