Here is the squadron weekly report for 1/8/00.

Squadron News
The Alpha-Inferno-Psi competition is over. Overall performance by Alpha
Squadron was good. 4 pilots from Alpha partipated and because of lack of
partipation from Psi Squadron, the Psi CMDR has decided to let us come
second. Furthermore, because of CPT Janich's outstanding battle performance,
he has come third and therefore will be awarded an ISM.

Alpha has earned itself another battle citation. That brings our total amount
of citations to two. Which isn't bad when compared with some other squadron.

Get to your fighters men (and women), because combat run #11 has been
announced. The battle will be TC-TIE #77, The Verpine Encounter. Submissions
will be excepted until AUG 15. I expect full partipation from all Alpha
Squadron FLs and FMs.

This isn't really squadron news, but I'll mention it anyway. I've retired
from my TOA job. Consequently I cannot update your TC records anymore.

Fleet News
Next Friday, August 11th, beginning at 10 AM EST, ending on Sunday, August
13th at 12 PM EST the EH will face the Last Starfighter League (LSF) in a
fierce XVT/XWA competition dubbed the Battle of Supremacy! The LSF is
expecting it's finest pilots to meet us in battle! The COO Office is calling
on all multiplayer pilots and is offering the following awards for each
platform.

The latest issue of Battlecry has been released to the Fleet. Check it out at

HA Astatine is now taking applications for a replacement for one of his TOAs,
COL Kircheis. Position requirements and application guidelines are available
at http://www.imperialacademy.org/tojobs.htm.

DGN Lichtor V Commodore Rear Admiral Weasel has been selected to be the new
Tactical Head Coordinator for the Tactical Staff.

The CA:FO has created a new mailing list named the think tank. All EH members
may join. The purpose of the list is for officers to discuss ideas and make
suggestions for the TC. To join, e-mail VA Shawshank at seraphiel@uswest.net
. The current topic most widely discussed is whether the TC and NC should be
integrated further.

To expatiate the process of approving and fixing new battles and implementing
Project Phoenix officially, Grand Admiral Ronin has approved the creation of
the new Tactical Staff. All positions are part-time auxiliary positions that
do not require you to leave your primary position. Any officer may join.

Status
Alpha squadron stands at 8 men. We are the biggest in Wing I, an honor also
shared with Beta Squadron. All officers have been active in some way the
week. I'm very happy.
