INFERNO SQUADRON NEWS:

--- ORDERS FOR ALL INFERNO PILOTS:

(1) Fly the announced TIE Free Mission for the SSL 2000 Semifinals by the chosen deadline. We expect an announcement from the Sovereign anytime. I am expecting all twelve pilots to fly the mission. Provide the best hints for getting a high score to Wing X (VA Corran Force) and earn a PC!

(2) Add a part of the story in the form of a mission when the Inferno Battle Project Run-on story gets to you. LCM Sephiroth has the file now. Next would be LCM Ace, LCM Triji Boliv, LT Bora Yar, COL Jack, and LT Oskar Holtz.

(3) Consider designing a brief mission for either Tie Fighter, X-Wing vs Tie Fighter and X-Wing Alliance to be selected for the Jedi Convention 2001 held in Cologne, Germany next Easter. Details available at http://www.tiecorps.org/tac/contest.html

--- COL MANITSAS AWARDED THE SILVER STAR
The Silver Star of the Empire has been awarded to COL Manitsas. The request was made by: BGCOM/VA Jarak Maldon, on the recommendation from VA Corran Force and COL Jack. They cite having served above and beyond as Inferno CMDR and really improving the squadron, going from having only a small number of active pilots to now having around 95% of the squadron active.

--- COL JACK SEEKS ISD CHALLENGE ACE PILOT TITLE
It will be Captain Brandon, Major TopDawg, and Colonel Jack facing off for the Challenge Ace Title. Captain Brandon had the honor of selecting a mission for this 3-way: FREE-TIE #112 - Stop the Insanity

--- FLIGHT PAGES AT NEW LOCATION
The "ehnet.org" is down, but Calvin Nunb's Flight page was fortunately transferred to the new server. The page's new location is at http://www.emperorshammer.ca/inferno2 for the time being. Last he checked, the MySQL databases on the new server still weren't up yet, rendering a bunch of the scripts he wrote inoperable for now. CM Locke's Flight page is currently offline while he looks for a new server.

--- WING X COOPERATES FOR THE SSL 2000 SEMIFINALS
WC/COL Darklord will award a PC for the best set of hints produced for the semi finals. I encourage your people to a point where they want to fly and fly again just to get the highest score possible. You should send your hints to Darklord at (darklord@isdchallenge.org).

--- INFERNO REACHES THE SSL 2000 SEMIFINALS
Last week, Inferno submitted our totals for the SSSD Sovereign Squadron League 2K - Quarter Finals: FREE-TIE #127 "A Quiet Little Patrol." We had the second highest total in Wing X, and the fifth highest overall. The top score comes from Praetorian Squadron, followed by Teth and Sigma Squadrons. The top eight are hereby qualified for the next round, the Semifinals:

WING X NEWS

--1. Congratulations to Cyclone squadron on defeating not one, but TWO squadrons in a competition! They beat the forces of both Resh and Koph squadron put together by a considerable margin! Full credit to CPT Brandon and Cyclone on a fine victory!

--2. Cyclone vs. Shield Squadron (ISD Relentless): Flying TC-TIE #87 - Withdrawal from Endor, started on 12/10 and finishing on 12/24.

--3. VA Corran Force has completed new roster code for the Challenge. Once he finishes recoding the new site, the PIN numbers that are displayed will be used. This isn't as fancy as Kawolski's roster but it will do for now. The URL is: http://www.isdchallenge.org/ListRoster.asp


TIE CORPS NEWS

--1. An experimental system has been added to http://www.tiecorps.org/ for Squadron CMDR's and above to add reports to. It's linked from the admin menu. All future Wing X and Inferno reports will be posted there!

--2. SA Kawolski has added yet another update to http://www.tiecorps.org/ - you can now log in, and edit your Skills profile from the admin menu. Use it to show what you think you are good at!

--3. Battlegroups Ace Pilot League contests: All challengers and defenders have until next Wednesday, December 20th, to fly the assigned missions and submit them to myself. Good Luck to all participants!
