INFERNO SQUADRON NEWS:

--- ORDERS FOR ALL INFERNO PILOTS:

We are all on leave until Tuesday, January 2. The following orders are suspended until then. My next report will be sent out on Saturday, January 6, 2001

(1) Fly the announced TIE Free Mission for the SSL 2000 Semifinals by the chosen deadline. We expect an announcement from the Sovereign anytime. I am expecting all twelve pilots to fly the mission. Provide the best hints for getting a high score directly the pilots of Wing X (wingx-announce@egroups.com) and earn a PC!

(2) Add a part of the story in the form of a mission when the Inferno Battle Project Run-on story gets to you. LCM Sephiroth has the file now. Next would be LCM Ace, LCM Triji Boliv, LT Bora Yar, COL Jack, and LT Oskar Holtz.

(3) Consider designing a brief mission for either Tie Fighter, X-Wing vs Tie Fighter and X-Wing Alliance to be selected for the Jedi Convention 2001 held in Cologne, Germany next Easter. Details available at http://www.tiecorps.org/tac/contest.html

(4) The Battlecry is having a competition. Get in your fighter and FLY!

--- COL JACK WINS THE CHALLENGE ACE TITLE
Colonel Jack wins the ISD Challenge Title by beating Captain Brandon (C) and Major TopDawg using Free Mission TIE-112. Well done, Jack!

--- COL MANITSAS CREATING GA RONIN'S UNIFORM TEMPLATES
Grand Admiral Ronin has offered a Grand Order of the Empire to a pilot who does the best and quickest job assembling uniform templates for the non-Star Wars gaming environment, Skye Rangers. Colonel Manitsas sent his templates in on December 19, and GA Ronin will review them over the weekend. Feel free to refer to the UNIT INSIGNIA section of our Skye Rangers www site for further info: www.skye-rangers.net The quickest and best series of COMPLETED Uniform templates (one per Rank please) will be judged by GA Ronin and awarded an EH GoE.

--- COL MANITSAS SUBMITS NEW FEMALE UNIFORM TEMPLATES FOR FLAG OFFICERS
Early this morning, I submitted five female uniform templates for the ranks RA, VA, AD, FA, and HA. Each uniform has the correct rank insignia, and also the correct style jacket collar: RA &VA: black with gray border, AD: black with gold border, FA & HA: white with gold border. I also submitted completed female uniform templates for Commodores, Battlegroup Commanders, Command Attaches, and Command Staff.

--- COL MANITSAS DESIGNS NEW FCHG TEMPLATES
I submitted the new designs for the FCHG ranks to the Operations Office, starting with a redesign for Centurion. We have new designs for Legionnaire, Executor, Gladiator, Archon, Templar, and a special design for Imperator! The old Imperator rank graphic will now be used for Executor, and the old Centurion graphic will be used for Legionnaire, but all others will need to use a new graphic. The designs will be official as soon as they appear at the Operations Website.

--- COL JACK CREATES A NEW TIE BATTLE BASED ON THE MOVIE GLADIATOR
Here is a battle that I just completed today. I would appreciate it if each of you would try to fly it and tell me about bugs, make any comments/suggestions/etc... I will be submitting it to the TAC office soon, and for another project I am involved in. Oh, and if you haven't watched the movie Gladiator (2000), I don't suggest playing it. Thank you!

--- FLIGHT PAGES AT NEW LOCATION
The "ehnet.org" is down, but Calvin Nunb's Flight page was fortunately transferred to the new server. The page's new location is at http://www.emperorshammer.ca/inferno2 for the time being. Last he checked, the MySQL databases on the new server still weren't up yet, rendering a bunch of the scripts he wrote inoperable for now. CM Locke's Flight page is currently offline while he looks for a new server.

--- LCM TRIJI BOLIV APPLIES FOR TIE TACTICS PROFESSOR
Our own LCM Triji Boliv has asked to be the Professor of the TIE Tactics course. He has some ideas in mind to modify the current course to ensure that the course will actually help those who take it become better TIE pilots. There is someone who has agreed to help him create a new Tactics Mission according to some of his guidelines.

--- WING X COOPERATES FOR THE SSL 2000 SEMIFINALS
WC/COL Darklord will award a PC for the best set of hints produced for the semi finals. I encourage your people to a point where they want to fly and fly again just to get the highest score possible. You should send your hints to Darklord at (darklord@isdchallenge.org).

--- INFERNO AND OTHERS WAIT FOR THE SSL 2000 SEMIFINALS
And then there were eight. With Wolly's usual alacrity, we don't know when to expect the SSL Semifinals to begin. We expect them to last a week, and involve flying a TIE Free Mission. Participation will be essential! The current top eight squadrons remaining after the Quarter Finals are:

WING X NEWS

--1. LCM Kyle Katarn (Kyle.Katarn@isdchallenge.org) will be Acting CMDR of Cyclone while Brandon is away.

--2. Cyclone vs. Shield Squadron (ISD Relentless): Flying TC-TIE #87 - Withdrawal from Endor, started on 12/10 and finishing on 12/24.

--3. The entire TIE Corps Battlegroups are on leave from Wednesday, December 20th through Wednesday, December 27th. All members of the Battlegroups are expected to take this time off for their respective holidays. No EH-related Activity is required or expected. IRC Use is still permitted, of course.

--4. Wing X will be extending the holiday leave until Tuesday 2nd January! My Monthly Squadron Evaluation will be due on January 4th, and the next Inferno Report will be on January 6th.

--5. VA Corran Force has now added your TC PIN # to the Roster. It is linked to your name. If anyone's is not correct please let him know...

--6. For serving as an excellent nurse and doctor so long and so hard, Nurse/LCM Vexen (FM/CPT Vexen/Cyclone) is hereby promoted to Commander in the Fleet Medical Corps.

--7. CMDR/CPT Brandon of Cyclone has been promoted to Major on the recommendation of COL Callista for his excellent work with Cyclone Squadron.

--8. COL Darklord will celebrate his 21st birthday on January 4th.


TIE CORPS NEWS

--1. CPT Brucmack of the ISD Grey Wolf is the first EH Pilot to ever attain over 2000 FCHG points, earning the FCHG rank of Templar.
