INFERNO SQUADRON NEWS:
--- ORDERS FOR ALL INFERNO PILOTS:
(1) Fly FREE-TIE #127 "A Quiet Little Patrol" for the SSL 2000 Quarter finals by December 3. I have submissions from everyone except COL Jack. CM Locke and LCM Triji Boliv submitted scores but have indicated they want to try for higher scores.
(2) Add a part of the story in the form of a mission when the Inferno Battle Project Run-on story gets to you. LT Oskar Holtz has been sitting on the file for too long. Now it goes to LCM Sephiroth. Next would be LCM Ace, LCM Triji Boliv, LT Bora Yar, COL Jack, and LT Oskar Holtz.
(3) Consider designing a brief mission for either Tie Fighter, X-Wing vs Tie Fighter and X-Wing Alliance to be selected for the Jedi Convention 2001 held in Cologne, Germany next Easter. Details available at http://www.tiecorps.org/tac/contest.html
--- COL JACK RETURNS TO INFERNO
Fresh from his tour in the Naval Corps and Task Force Monitor, we welcome back Rear Admiral Jack to Inferno. His addition brings Inferno back to a full complement of twelve pilots. Jack was once the CMDR of Thunder Squadron, and then the leader of Flight Three in Inferno. He is accepting a rank reduction to Colonel and a position with us as a Flight Member in Flight 2, Position 4.
--- ANOTHER PROMOTION IN FLIGHT THREE
Congratulations to Triji Boliv for his promotion to Lieutenant Commander. He has advanced to Dragoon within two short months of joining the EH. His activity over the Thanksgiving holiday has been phenomenal. His Flight Leader, CM Locke, is still recovering in sickbay from having tried to keep up with all his TFR submissions!
--- LCM TALON ZETAR TO BE TIE-FIGHTER CAPABLE SOON
Our dear XvT-only pilot, LCM Talon Zetar, has been very busy with a new job. For many months, he has not been able to participate in any TIE flying because his DOS TIE Fighter would not work with his digital joystick on his new computer. Now, with the release of the X-Wing Trilogy packaging of XW-95, TIE-95, and XWA, he expects to be ready to fly into battle with the rest of Inferno sometime in December.

--- INFERNO FIGHTING IN THE SSL 2000 QUARTER FINALS
In the SSSD Sovereign Squadron League 2K - Quarter Finals, we are flying FREE-TIE #127 "A Quiet Little Patrol." I must submit our entries to WC/COL Darklord by December 3, so he can report for the Wing on December 4. Again, each squadron will start with 0 (zero) points. The top eight squadrons (total score) will be qualified for the next round, the Semi-Finals. Laserless scoring is, as usual, in effect. The glorious 16 participating squadrons are:

--- LCM SEPHIROTH LOSES A CLOSE CONTEST FOR CHALLENGE ACE TITLE

The winner, flying FREE-TIE #111 - Ricardo's Escape, is CPT Brandon of Cyclone. LCM Sephiroth lost this contest by the narrowest of margins, and CM Rover of Tempest came in last. I am very proud of the strong fight that LCM Sephiroth put up for the title. We now know that because of the closeness of the fight, that CPT Brandon is vulnerable to LCM Sephiroth in the future. I'm looking forward to a possible rematch. How about you?

--3. Typhoon beat Tornado by 107 points... Buah ha ha ha ha!!! I knew they could!
--4. Cyclone beat Eta Squadron: 96620 to 90745 (Squadron averages)
--5. CPT Brandon of Cyclone squadron barely edged out our own LCM Sephiroth to win the ISD Challenge Ace-Pilot-Title. CM Rover also participated, but was out-classed by the other two.

--2. Captain Lito Rendal remains ISD Immortal Ace-Pilot Champion after defeating Commander Felagund for the Immortal Title using FREE-XWA 24, beating him by over 4,000 points.
--3. Captain Lohr Zadash of Iota Squadron wins the ISD Colossus Ace-Pilot-Title, defeating Major Chei-Ras for the Colossus Title using FREE-TIE-106 in a close contest.
