The Chronicles of Sin #47
From the (very tiny) desk of andr3
The battle against the Ishtari had finally come to a close. The outcome was a bit indecisive. History had shown time and again that as in all wars, there were no winners – only heavy losses on both sides. The majority of the TC fleet had to retreat to the Tusorix Ship Yard for major repairs before the Ishtari core world was even reached. Understandably, the bugs had defended their hive with everything they had. Only ISDII Warrior had made it to the core world with the support of its battle group and SSD Avenger, while BGs I & III were only able to assist with which minimal forces had survived the campaign against the Ishtari until that point.Despite striking an almost fatal blow against the enemy, it was just that: almost fatal. Even the combined TC forces were unable to hold or destroy the Ishtari home world. To prevent total inhalation on both sides, it was decided that stripping the Ishtari from most of their military capabilities was sufficient. Eventually, even BGII left the system for repairs.
The pilots wondered how Imperial propaganda would put a spin on these events. Would they pin medals on the survivors to make them feel good about themselves; make them perceive that all this suffering had not be in vain? Only time would tell...

MAJ andr3
The old ones say we Sinners are descended from the Emperor himself. From the time a Sinner could fly, they were baptized in the fire of combat. Taught never to retreat, never to surrender. Taught that death on the battlefield in service to the Empire was the greatest glory they could achieve.
