Doc marched smartly down the halls of the Warrior on his way to the bridge for the daily Battlegroup 2 Command Strategy Meeting. The halls were busier than usual, bustling with staff and mouse droids.
Despite not encountering the Ishtari yet, the Warrior was only a day away from reaching the first planet in their route to liberate the system. Doc reached the bridge, pressing the control panel button to open the door.
"...and if the planet turns out to be bug infested, the exterminator arrives tomorrow!" came a shout from an unknown source as the Major walked in. There weren't many suspects,
the meeting consisted of VA Marenta, Warrior Squadron CMDRs, and their XO's. The shout expressed the general attitude of the ship, ready to fight the blasted bugs that had interrupted their vacation last year.
"Settle down, order on my bridge," Marenta said, "Now, the small one makes a good point, if the Ishtari are there tomorrow.....

Fleet News
Imperial Storm has begun!
The fleet is teaming up to liberate planets in the Ishtari's home system and then begin the extermination phase and battle the bugs directly. If we encounter the enemy during the liberation phase,
we need to be prepared to fight. Keep your flight suits on and your helmets close.

Captain Jet Mech has stepped up this year to be Battlegroup 2 Team Captain for Imperial storm, managing our moves, coordination with the other BGs, and communication with competition runners.
Thank you Captain, I have no doubt he will help lead the TIE Corps to victory over the Ishtari.

Competitions that Caught the CMDR's Eye:
Imperial Storm 5
What is Imperial Storm you say? Imperial Storm is a turn based war game that the TIE Corps runs every year. Previous incarnations have seen the three
Battlegroups spar over a sector of space seeking to claim dominance. Whilst the teams move their fleets around the map, combat which occurs when the opposing forces meet is decided by
the accumulation of Legions and performance in a selected Single Player mission over a 48 hour period.
Great, how is it different this year?
This year we are trying something slightly different. Instead of having the three TIE Corps Battlegroups oppose one another, they will be flying together although each as a separate unit
under the TC banner against the forces of the Ishtari who will be led by FA Jarek La'an. Full rules can be found here.
Imperial Storm 5 - Fiction Bonus
During the initial 14 days of Imperial Storm 5 we will be running a bonus competition.
Each battlegroup will be promoted to send in fictions, 500 words minimum that will be graded during the 6 days before Phase 2 starts on Turn 21.
For our writers, a fun bonus comp with a reward of extra damage in phase 2 of Imperial Storm!
TIE Corps Jigsaw Puzzle
For 4 months, each month a new puzzle will be announced and pilots will compete for the best time with medals up for grabs for the top four fastest pilots as well as points accrued.
At the end of each season, the top five pilots with the most points accrued will earn medals based on performance. In the event of a tie, the tie breaker will go to the pilot with the most 1st place wins.

We've seen a nice pickup in activity with some pilots participating
in TC competitions and external competitive events. Now that IS is upon us, I hope you can contribute whether it be in playing games during battles or writing a fiction for the first 2 weeks, all activity is welcome!
