Squadron News

The end of 30 ABY brings about a number of landmark achievements for Lambda Squadron! Looking back at the year, we managed as a squadron to win both Raise the Flag 2022 and TIE Corps In Battle, claimed 2nd place in the Chalquila Cup II, achieved with great effort last place in Imperial Storm IV and crash-landed 27 Lambda Class shuttles starting 29 fires in the Hammer Hangar Bay. The two additional fires were due to Wolve's vacuum short-circuiting. Jawa sabotage is suspected.

In addition, the TIE Corps Annual PvP, PvE (CO-OP vs AI) and SP (Singleplayer) results are in. What a year it has been! Wolve dominated SP winning first place with precicely 3333 Missions flown. In PvE, Gytheran trounced everyone with 7591 PvP victories. Genie took 2nd, Solo 6th and Wolve rounded up Lambda's efforts with 9th place. Lastly, in PvP, Ranger took a comfortable win with 2043 victories. Wookiee earned 4th, Genie 7th and Gytheran secured 8th place.

Big welcome to LT Alexsandyr Blackwolfe. He has some big shoes to fill, as Howler has transferred to the reserves. The good news is, he is as crazy as the rest of us. The bad news is, he is as crazy as the rest of us.

Congratulations to Wookie for his promotion to the rank of Major and to Merlin for earning the rank of Captain. Furthermore, congratulations to Wolve for his upcoming promotion to Captain (approved but not yet formalized).

The long road to the 21st Echelon is finally at an end for BlackRanger! In addition, Solohan edged closer by reaching the 20th Echelon Wings!

Tip of the Month: You can now earn PvP and PvE (CO-OP) legions in Star Wars The Old Republic (SWTOR). For CO-OP remember that you need at least one more EH pilot to "fly" with you. Credit to Gytheran for preparing a lot of the background work to make this possible.

Highlighted Competitions:

There are various competitions held by several EH pilots. Currently in the spotlight, we have the following competitions:

• What Are the Odds of Successfully Navigating an Asteroid Field?: Never tell me the odds! Organized by Black Ranger.
• A Jawa a Day Keeps Dr. Lokin Away! (SWTOR: Rakghoul Resurgence Event): Based on a 1-week event, "Rakghoul Resurgence," that runs from January 10 to January 17, 2023 Organized by Gytheran.
• Hammer Festive Expansion: This competition is about fleshing out one or more of the Hammer's NPCs. Organized by Phoenix.
• Trivia for the Hammered Season Six: Each week, four questions will be released via the TIE Corps timed competition system. Organized by Phoenix.
• Squadrons Feats of Strength I: Fly solo vs the AI, in Squadrons Fleetbattles. Do you have what it takes? Organized by Genie.

Be sure to check out all the running competitions. As Lambdas, to know the competitions you are eligible for, under "Units Involved" it must be listed as "TIE Corps", "Battlegroup I", or "Lambda Squadron".

Notable Streams:

Closing Comments

I hope everyone had a great holiday. Let's start 2023 in positive light and optimism. On my end, I always give myself a list of things to do throughout the year. As in, I am not waiting for "new year's resolutions". They are instead "all year resolutions". :D
