REPORTING OFFICER: Lieutenant Colonel Adom "fr0Zen" Wietu, Former Squadron Commander

(Nix, the R2D7 droid, beeps, boops and chirps with as pleasant of tone as an Astromech can muster as he watches the former Rho Commander, Adom "fr0Zen" Wietu continue the work of clearing out his personal effects from the Commander's office.

"Relieved to see me more at peace? Or pleased to see that Davalorn will be taking over," fr0Zen inquires of the droid.  The responses indicate `a little of both` as best as the Pantoran can discern.

"Me too, little buddy," he replies, as Mix - Rho Squadron Chief Mechanic - knocks on the metal frame of the open door.

"So R2D7 over there has all the records collated, coordinated, cross-referenced, and confirmed.  Did I miss any official other procedural C Words?" jokes the Mechanic.

"In some regions I believe there is a much shorter one that seems quite official. Ever difficult to discern whether it is used insultingly or as a term of endearment," replies Adom.

Mix simply shakes his head, a gesture paired with a grin indicating he does indeed know the word. "C'mon then, quit fiddling with that box and get down to a different C word with me - the most important one, CANTINA."

"Aye, sir," salutes Adom. "I'll meet you there after I deliver one final brief report. Give me about 30 ticks.")

Greetings, as per ever, my Comrades in Black.

With a nod to General Frown for his insistence that we begin our strategic conversations early, I was grateful for a short attendance at a recent dinner.  I was more grateful at what I then found to be the opening matters for our important - and very successful - strategic conversation.

To Westric Davalorn and Vapen Vanman - I do not know how you managed to make all the arrangements for such a farewell gathering on top of your duties, but I will refrain from asking.  Who am I to ask an illusionist to reveal their tricks?  My heart was opened as rarely before in gratitude for your efforts.

To Brent, Ossus, and FamePlane - your insistence on speaking in my honor before the gathered squadron members was a series of moments that gave me great peace as I continue to work through the visions I have been receiving in recent months.   I took the celebration - and your enthusiasm - as confirmation that we will evade the worst of what might be.

I am not one for long farewells, and perhaps farewell is not even the best word - as I am only saying goodbye to extra duties in exchange for being able to focus more again on my pilot skills and time in the simulators.   Rho Squadron is in a rare position to have a person of Westric Davalorn's caliber available and willing to step up in leadership - and he is not the only one.   The future is very bright for our group and I anticipate our return to the highest esteem within the Emperor's Hammer in short order.

I will see you all on patrol and in the hangar deck.  But first, let's meet one more time at the Cantina as soon as you can make it. I am on my way there now.

(He presses send. He steps from the desk. He turns off the light, and closes the office door behind him.)

• Joyously for me, CM Westric Davalorn has been officially introduced, commissioned, and configured as your new Rho Squadron Commander. Please give him hell for me.
• LCM Vapen "Doc" Vanman has been slotted as the new Flight Leader for Rho's Flight III. I couldn't be more proud and grateful.
• Sadly, MAJ RedTaz has elected to move to the reserves and is no longer in our roster.
• Under the guidance of Vapen "Doc" Vanman and FamePlane our Chalquilla cup team is currently sitting on a 7 wins 1 loss record, which keeps us on pace for a chance to win the event.
• CM FamePlane is now an SCL Staff Member. Holy smokes!
• Oh and yeah, yours truly got a promotion too. Yes I am very excited. I also don't enjoy bragging which it feels like I'm doing a bit with this mention, but yes also, this is news to include here.

• I was emotionally grateful in a very real way reading the work that Davalorn and Vapen Vanman spearheaded - especially once I reached the closing section and realized the several other contributors had offered their own text to serve as speeches on my behalf within the work. Y'all outdid yourselves.
• Davalorn and I had the chance this week to dive into the particulars of the "paperwork" and procedures and I am confident he is fully set up for success now - especially since I will continue to be a resource and assistant particularly through the first few months.
• The Chalquilla Cup home stretch is going to be something to remember - and our match versus the Arronoan Apogees may turn out to decide first and second place, presuming our successes continue in the other remaining matches.

I have rarely had honors equaling the opportunity to serve as your Rho Commander, and none that have surpassed the pleasure.  The support from within the squadron and from the fleet as a whole has been a blessing as I continue to reckon with the manner in which a parallel plane of reality has begun to reveal itself.  While I still would not call myself a spiritual being, I am looking forward to more frequent opportunities to consult with the elders of Pantora as I face a future with reduced duties.

Until a new Emperor is seated and the Rebellion is forever crushed!
