BETA SQUADRON NEWS
Greetings pilots! I've talked with and sent a message to all of you now, so as you know I've taken command of Beta. We sincerely wish CPT Mantissa well, and hope to see him back in action soon.
This report is packed with activity and medals, so congrats to you all! I've included all activity from the date of the last report up to now, however, so this isn't entirely indicative of current activity. But it is a very good sign that we have signs of life in Beta, and I know we can get that activity board looking like that all the time! (Well ok, maybe not like RTF).
So Beta, at the end of the day I just want you to have a good time. If you're not having a good time, come talk to me and we'll figure out something to do!
I also want to give a special shout out to my 'EH brother' LC Genie without whom absolutely none of this would be possible. I know I'm not the only one who's here because of your leadership and guidance, so a huge thank you from myself and everyone you've helped.

Final Farewell
Aboard the ISDII Hammer's Lambda Crew Quarters...
CPT Xye survyed the scorched room, hardly recognizable except for the durasteel bunks which remained.
'Wow. You guys really did a number on the place,' Xye said.
LC Genie placed a hand on Xye's shoulder.
'Well, once we heard you were transferring to Beta we figured we'd have Baron torch your room as long as he was already burning down Solohan's mess,' Genie said.
Xye tried to duck Genie's grip on his shoulder, but it was like a vice digging to the bone, there was no point.
'Yeah I mean, I get it. I guess. Wait, what did you do with my stuff?' Xye asked.
Genie laughed and tightened his grip again.
'Don't worry so much! Anything salvagable has been transferred to an auction that will benefit rebuilding the Lambda quarters.'
'But -'
'Silence! Just let me congratulate you, damn it.'
'OK, forget it. I'm congratulated. Thank you sir. Is that all?' Xye asked.
'No. One more thing. It's a sort of tradition for Lambda send-offs,' Genie said, finally relaxing his hold on Xye.
'No, Genie, I know what this is-'
Genie reaches over and presses a button on the wall marked 'OFFICIAL LAMBDA SENDOFF SALUTE' which has been not so cleverly placed over the airlock release.
Gazing out the viewport as Xye's body is eventually caught by a passing medical shuttle, a tear ran down Genie's cheek. He had forgotton to take back the executive pen he had loaned to Xye when he became XO. Oh well, time to get those novelty zucchini pens.

- Trivia for the Hammered: One trivia question every weekday, sent via email. Who is the fastest on the buzzer!?
TIE Corps Competitions:
- Trivia Grand Tour: Season Seven. Check the current week's URL link through Plif's email or the discord announcement.
Be sure to check out all the running competitions. As Betas, to know the competitions you are eligible for, under 'Units Involved' it must be listed as 'Entire TC', 'ISD-II Hammer', 'Wing I' or 'Beta Squadron'.
Notable Events:
- Genie's 'Make a Wish' Stream: Genie regularly streaming, currently Age of Empires IV and maybe will stream Battle-Making in TF and XWA
- One Thicc Wookiee: Wookiee oftens throws in a bit of Squadrons action!
- MAJ Taygetta Star Wars and Star Conflict Streaming: Several hours spread over the week.
- Alejandro's Youtube Corner: A place where LC Alejandro regularly uploads videos of his activities with the modded XWA.
- LCM Legion's Streaming: Regular weekly streaming. I joined in a couple of times, highly entertaining!

CLOSING COMMENTS
Beta, you guys have no idea how unbelievably excited I am to be here and get things rolling. We have the holidays coming right up so I want to reiterate I'm not here to flip the table over (yet ;)) so just take it easy and we'll really kick things off in the new year. Good luck and have fun!
