Phoenix leaned back in the Hammers Command chair and surveyed the bridge around him as it bustled with activity, several members of the bridge staff were gathered around consoles in the port crew pit observing the latest tactical reports whilst others reviewed sensor data ready for the ships reversion to real space. It had been a fortnight since he'd taken command of the vessel and still he had yet to find where Captain Genie had stashed all the ale, or the code for Elwoods safe. This was not good he mused to himself, he'd have to ensure Lambda picked up some special missions once their current mission was completed. 'Sir,' Lieutenant Guthword from the Flight Operations Office stood to attention 'we've prepped Wing 1 for launch the moment we revert to real space. Gamma and Delta squadrons are being held in reserve as ordered but the remainder are all in their launch positions.' 'Excellent work, have Major Task report to the bridge once the wing is away.' The Hammer had been tasked with interdicting a small convoy of freighters carrying much needed supplies and information. This was a simple goal for a Star Destroyer but it was key that they were not permitted time to get off a distress signal. Greetings pilots of the Hammer! Welcome to this weeks Hammer Ship Report. It's been a fairly good week here on the Hammer with the final MSE medals arriving into peoples inboxes and I've seen a raft of new uniforms being uploaded to reflect new medals and ranks - long may it continue! Your Commanders and I have been discussing a couple of new competitions, and once our patch competition is over at the end of the month we'll be kicking off one that will see our pilots flesh out the NPC members of our vessel - for example have you ever wondered ho the bridge crew are, or what our replacement chief engineer is called - this will be your opportunity to get creative. Major news from around the fleet includes the appointment of Major Tygra Shadowclaw as Commander of Thunder Squadron, congratulations Major! Finally the CMDRS+ (CMDRS, COMS, TCCS) got together for a audio meeting on Discord which went well and is something we'll continue going forward. | ||||||
