Greetings pilots of the Hammer!
As hard as it is to believe we are now in the closing hours of 2021, a year that has plenty to look back on and a good signal as to what awaits in 2022. This year has seen some notable highlights, we did well in Imperial Storm despite some issues around the ruleset that I'll be taking forward into the next run in 2022, we also recovered from a slow start in Raise the Flag to really give the Challenge a run for their money, something that I am immensely proud of.
It's been a little over a year since I took over as COM for this vessel, the actual anniversary falling just after RtF so with all that was going on I never really clocked it was a full year. So I'd like to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for making this a fantastic experience - I couldn't be COM of a better group of pilots!
I'd also like to thank on your behalf all of the members who work behind the scenes, running the TC is not a simple task and there are a number of members who give up their free time to keep the wheels running, be it Yoda and the Tactical Office, Miles and the Combat Office crew or Turtle and the Internet Office members who are coding the new site. It's no small task to keep a club running, so on behalf of the pilots of the ISDII Hammer please accept our heartfelt thanks - same to you Plif & Clark!
On to more day-to-day updates!
The Trivia for the Hammered Christmas Special is onto it's final question, however the results of Round Two can be found below. I'll update everyone on Round Three over the weekend and finalize the scores. Please note that the next Season will differ slightly - I'll still release a notification each day but the actual question will be on the TC timed competition site. It's a slight difference but one I am keen to see play out.
The Hammer Tour of Duty also closes out tonight, we'll move onto the next round shortly. Genie and I are just in the midst of a slight rule question.

Hammer Holiday Puzzle
To spread some holiday cheer for the Hammer, I feel a puzzle is in order! Pilots will compete for the best time with medals up for grabs for the top 6 fastest pilots. The puzzle featuring some festive ewoks can be found here https://www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=007c103a4a9f
Rules: Screenshots need to show the number of pieces from the bottom-left corner of the screen, the time shown in the middle, and the completed puzzle. Working through the puzzle multiple times and using all the options available in the app are allowed, except one: Don't change the number of pieces from 70.
When you're satisfied with your time, take a screenshot and send it to theblackxranger@gmail.com. One entry per pilot, multiple submissions will not be accepted and only the first submission will be counted.

Hammer Tour of Duty
Season Two of the Hammer Tour of Duty has arrived, this competition sees all pilots assigned to the ISDII Hammer flying an assigned set of Battles during a 4 week period before we tally up and move to the next round.
The target being to fly XWA-TC 21 to XWA-TC 40, all available from the Battle Centre by the end of the year.

Completing a battle: 4 points
>70% battle laser accuracy: +1 point
>85% battle laser accuracy: +2 points
>50% of the battle high score: +1 point
>75% of the battle high score: +2 points
Writing a review of 20+ words for a completed battle: +1 point
Note: Completing a battle with 0 lasers fired will count as 100% accuracy.

Trivia for the Hammered - Christmas Special
Each week, 4 questions will be released via email. For each question, the quickest pilot to answer correctly receives 3 points, second quickest with the correct answer gets 2 points and all the pilots with a correct answer get 1 point.
We tally up at the end of the week with the highest point total winning a IS-SR and the runner-up a IS-BR.
After 3 rounds we tally up for our Christmas Special winner who will receive a IS-GR, with the runner-up recieving a IS-SR, whilst third and fourth places receive a IS-BR.
Points earned on each question accrue and lead to IS-CRs being awarded for every multiple of 50 points.
Our second round featured more questions about the Holiday Special, with the final round currently ongoing. The winners this time were the same pair as the first round, but the other way around - the winner being MAJ Aldaric, with CPT Xye our runner up. Well done!
