OVERVIEW

Here we go with another weekly report from your TCCOM's desk. The Fleet Commander, Grand Admiral Rapier, honoured me with the highest merit medal the Emperor's Hammer has, the Medal of Honour, for my 2 years anniversary as TCCOM. I cannot thank the Grand Admiral enough for this. It's been a pleasure for me to serve all of you for the past 2 years. I hope I can do another 2 years! But my anniversary wasn't the only one that needs to be celebrated this week. The Strategic Operations Officer, Fleet Admiral Pellaeon, had his own 2 years anniversary this week, too. I cannot thank him enough for all the work and effort he put into helping me keep the Fleet alive and working during the past 2 years. A small token of gratitude is just waiting for the Fleet Commander to hand it out to you, old friend! As announced in my last report, Commodore Rear Admiral Len Eode is stepping down. The position is open for applications. The minimum requirements are: - SM/4 (or older version, like SM/1, SM/2, SM/3) - at least one full ToD as CMDR (4 months) Rear Admiral Len Eode has agreed to stay as Commodore at full service until the end of the month. After that he'll keep the position until a replacement is found, but he'll be on a semi LoA with reduced report numbers, limited activities and an enhanced response time. Thanks for this arrangement, Len! It takes a bit of the pressure to find a fitting replacement in short time! Sin Commander, General JArek La'an, one of the most honourable and experienced officers in the TIE Corps, has decided it is time to step down from his Commander spot and take a simpler role within the TIE Corps structure again. On April, 26th, he will resign from his position. Because of this the Sin Commander position is open to applications. Minimum requirements are: - SM/4 (or older version, like SM/1, SM/2, SM/3) - willing to serve at least one full ToD as CMDR (4 months) Applications go to Rear Admiral Len Eode, cc'ing myself and the SOO. The Ship Evaluations for March are due. All Commanders make sure to have your Squadron Evaluations on your Commodore's desk ASAP! We're growing again, at least slowly. With the arrival of Sub-Lieutenant Spalt Cat AU to Sin 2-4, our numbers are slightly increasing again. I hope this trend will continue! The New Games Survey is still running. What we need now are volunteers that own the games we want to evaluate. Especially for those not Free To Play games we need people that already own them a the TCCS is unable to buy all those games just to evaluate them. So pilots that own one or more of these games should contact the TCCS by mail, if they want those games to be supported by the TIE Corps. And here the games we will evaluate: Elite: Dangerous - NO volunteers so far, but 2 willing to buy if needed Star Citizen - NO volunteer so far Discovery Mod of Freelancer - 3 volunteers (1 TCCS) Fate of the Galaxy - NO volunteers so far Star Trek Online - 5 volunteers (3 TCCS) World of Warplanes - 2 volunteers (both TCCS) I know I said I'd contact the pilots of the evaluation team this week, but so far there are too few volunteers to start the evaluation process. I will get in contact with those who expressed their wish to be part of the evaluation team, as soon a we've got enough volunteers to start the process, at least 1 volunteer for each game. Raise the Flag - 2017 is coming soon. Just 5 1/2 weeks left to get yourself ready for action. I hope everyone is well rested and prepared to fight for the glory of his squadron and ship. Soon the SOO and I will start including short fiction in our reports again to prepare us for the upcoming fight!
