Avenger Report # 25 (2000-04-16)

This report was submitted by MAJ Death

Greetings pilots of Avenger squadron!
22222222
Here is the second Avenger squadron (not quite so) weekly report (sorry), compiled for your viewing
pleasure by Colonel NiksaVel, Avenger squadron commander :)
This week, I have some very good announcments and some potentially very bad...
SQUADRON NEWS:
When checking out the roster of Avenger squadron, you will notice three new pilots have been added to
our roster. Everybody welcome LCM FraggleHawk, LCM Death and LT Zukarov.
The roster can now be viewed in a better light, as we are at 9 active and battle ready pilots. However, the
bad news I was refering to was the lack of any activity lately by several of the veteran Avenger pilots. I am
not aware of any of you being on leave and I can not and wil not tolerate inactivity in Avenger squadron.
This refers to the following personnel:
Lt. Face Loran: Ever sence I was appointed the CMDR of Avenger squadron, I have recieved only a
single email from you (and that one did not include any activity reports). I am aware of you wanting your
promotion pretty bad, it is not that I do not wish to promote you, but I need to see some activity here.
Email me back immediately with a very good explanation or be AWOLed out!
CM K'Tehmok: What is going on? I have heard a lot about you, and you seemed very enthusiastic and
active in our initial contact, but after that, I don't see any real activity. Actually I see none at all. Email me
back immediatelly and explain the situation!
MAJ Rich: Status report! I know you are an exeptional pilot, but I don't see any flying... This is
UNACCEPTABLE! Ever since you joined up with us all you've done was hang around on the IRC
channels... Email me back immediatelly with a report and explanation of what is happening!
CM Archon: It's been quite a while since I have heard even a peep from or about you. That's no good. I
hate even to think about AWOLing out senior and veteran officers of Avenger squadron, so clear my fears
and email me back immediatelly and explain what is going on.
Now on to some brighter subjects... ever since I have joined the Avenger squadron, there was a pilot who
bombarded me with completed battles and email, was generally active and was taking up much of my
time with BSFs and generally pissing me off. :) Well, I have something for you now...
muahahahahahahaha
Everybody congratulate Commader E. Tarkin of Flight III on being awarded the title of
AVENGER SQUADRON PILOT OF THE
MONTH OF APRIL
and on the little Imperial Security Medal that goes with the title :) Keep up the good work commander,
you're an inspiration to us all!
WEEKLY ORDERS:
Well, the citation competition went good, but not good enough. According to my calculations we still need
3 more pilots to complete TC XvT 1 battle for the squadron to be awarded it's first citation. Those of you
who have not competed the battle yet are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to do so, as it will bring us a bunch of
points in the upcoming ASF competition (see below). The results are as follows:
1. LT Zukarev
2. COL NiksaVel
3. LCM E. Tarkin
Congratulations to Lieutenant Zukarev on winning his first ISM in service of Avenger squadron! :)
This week's Squadron citation competition is TC XWA battle 4. Everybody is encouraged to participate as
it will count big in our favour for the ASF competition if we win more squadron citations and the winner of
course wins the ISM.

- THE ASF SUPREMACY COMPETITION -
As of now, we are concentrating completely on participating in the ASF competition. WE ARE THE ELITE
OF THE ASF and we cannot allow some little squadron to try and challenge our title. Each and every one
of you is contribuing to the squadron with almost any form of activity, as well as collecting points for
yourself. People, this is our chance for a big comeback on the scene. LET'S SHOW THEM WHAT
ACTIVITY IS ALL ABOUT!!! Make pictures, write fiction, storm the message boards but most important of
all, FLY FLY FLY!!!! VICTORY SHALL BE OURS!

These are the details taken directly from the website:
- AGGRESSOR STRIKE FORCE: SUPREMACY
COMPETITION -
Which of the three ASF ships is the best? Which Squadron stands out above the others in
terms of excellence and activity? This competition will decide, pitting ship against ship,
squadron against squadron and pilot against pilot.

Winning isn't everything...it's the only thing...

The way the competition will work is as follows:
Each pilot has the oppurturnity to complete an unrestricted number of goals. Completing
each goal or task in a satisfactory manner will earn that pilot a set number of points. This
will be added not only to that pilot's personal total, but also to that of his or her squadron
and ship. It should be the aim of every pilot to complete as many tasks, and hence earn as
many points as possible,

Once the deadline has been reached, the points will be tallied and the victors determined:
The squadron with the highest final total will be declared as the winner. Members of that
squadron will be awarded with promotions and medals (determined by the level of individual
participation). This squadron will be declared as the ASF Escort Squadron. Additionally,
the top individual scoring pilot from the entire ASF will also be determined and rewarded
appropriately (and possibly the highest scorer from each Wing also). And maybe most
importantly, the winning ship will be determined, and announced as the ASF Command
Ship.
All submissions should be zipped and sent to priyumpatel@hotmail.com with ASF: SC in the
subject. Its up to you whether you wish to CC your CMDR. Once the competition is
underway, a table will be drawn up showing the current pilot and squadron standings.
START DATE: 17th April
END DATE: 21st May
AWARDS:
The awards for this competition will be given out in two parts. The first part will be given
out half way through the competition (3 weeks). They will be based on individual
participation in the competition. Awards will be medals (Palpatine's Crescent or Imperial
Security Medal) or they will be promotions (granted that the individual meets the
appropriate time requirements).
The final awards will be given out after the deadline. The squadron with the highest amount
of points will be rewarded as a whole, and again individuals will also be rewarded. Prizes will
again be medals (Bronze Star of the Empire down to the Imperial Security Medal) or
promotions (based on the same criteria as above).
More details as they become available...
