Sin Report # 20 (2001-01-28)

This report was submitted by MAJ Stele Pellaeon

CMDR/CPT Stele Pellaeon reporting in for Sin Squadron
1.28.01
---------------------------------------------------------------

3 cheers for Sin and Psi Squadron!! We defeated the
elite pilots of
Praetorian Squadron along with the help of LC Inkwolf.
They put up a
good but we got em!. One of the best matches I've been
in for quite
a long time.

Also, it's Wing 2's 2nd anniversary. The wing has seen
its share of
pilots, matches, good and bad times. There are still
plenty of good
times to come for this next year.

Squadron News
--------------

-I've conducted an AWOL check this weekend and only 4
pilots have
responded. That's a little scarey.
-LCM Mac, please check in if you're still around.
-LT Steel, I haven't received a word since you joined
us.
-LT Squall, you may or may not even receive this note;
so
Mordred, can you ask him what he plans to do. Advise
him of his
options.

-Squeaker Hunt is nearing its end. 24 hour missions are
being sent
out by Inkwolf, so fly them once you get them. Submit
TC-107 for the
hunt. Submit any fiction or graphic relating to the
Squeaker Hunt.
I have a feeling Squeaker will be coming home soon and
with a bad
stomache ache from all that gum. Yuck! That or GA
Ronin will
totally ban gum throughout the Emperor's Hammer.

-CHALLENGER LT Strahd has forfieted against the
GLADIATOR CPT
Mordred. Mordred, I believe it's time for me to step
into the
GLADIATOR CHALLENGE this week. You've held on to the
title for quite
some time. I will try to take it from you and end your
reign of
terror >:) Just choose the battle and we'll duke it
out. Sage
against sage.

-Congratulations to our CPT Mordred on his award
Commendation of
Loyalty. You've served well and loyal and deserve this
medal very
much. Keep up your good work and may your experiances
inspire us.

Squadron Orders
---------------

For the Wing II Where's Squeaker competition, fly TC-107
-at random times of January, Inkwolf will order missions
to be flown
and must be turned in within 24 hrs of that order. So
keep your eyes
peeled through mail and on the Wing 2 messageboard
-SEARCH THE FLEET!!!!
Sergeant Akela and Melvin will be making a search
of the Emperor's Hammer. Each day in January, a message
will be
posted on one of the EH messageboards, possibly with a
clue
as to where the next post will appear. Can you
keep up to Akela and Melvin? Post a reply to
their message within 24 hours to prove your
Squeakorienteering prowess!
Several Wing 2rs and myself have been posting but it's
not too late
to join the fun. Just check the first message on the
Wing 2
messageboard to catch up to the following messages on
the other ones.
-GATHER SATELLITE SPY PHOTOS!!!!
Submit a graphic showing Squeaker's current location!
-PRIVATE INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING!
Write a work of, er, documentary dealing with the
disappearance and return of Squeaker!
-Not only will medals be awarded in each category,
but there will also be medals for whoever
participated the most! If, in Inkwolf's opinion, the
wing has not shown any particular effort, medals
will not be awarded. So be sure to take part.
Send all TFRs to me, MAJ Stele Pellaeon, send all
graphics and fiction files to Inkwolf directly (cc your
CMDR!) Good luck to all, and may your Squeaker
hunt be successful!

GLADIATOR CHALLENGE: CHALLENGER MAJ Stele Pellaeon has
challenged
GLADIATOR CPT Mordred. Mordred is to choose the battle
for this
week. Good luck to both of us.

As usual, check your squadron and or flight webpage to
keep posted on
orders and such.

Not much happening for now and I haven't been notified
of any
upcoming matches or competitions. So just chill this
week.

Fly to your hearts content...

TIE Mission Creation

-The last 3 pilots of Rho (LC Delplanq, LT Akira, and
LCM Uriel) have
all transferred to Theta Squadron. It's a bit sad to
see Rho become
inactive. Rho has seen many great pilots. I passed by
the Rho
barracks just the other day. I saw that the pilots had
just left and
that the barracks were empty. I stared at the room and
listened to
the silence. But, I could hear the echoes of the past
from stories
from Inkwolf and when I barely knew Rho when I was just
a sub-
lieutenant. I could still smell the roasting of Ewoks.
I closed the
door and let those echoes remain in that room. We will
one day see
Rho become active again, we will smell Ewoks roasting
again, we will
see great pilots come from it again...

New NAVCOM appointed
12:26 - AD Theodore [theodore@tiecorps.org]
Today, I have promoted, now, VA Xanos Goatham
Zorrixor to the new NAVCOM. Under his leadership,
I expect to see the Naval Corps continue to grow
and increase its activity. Congratulations VA.

TCCOM award
12:22 - AD Theodore [theodore@tiecorps.org]
In today's Flight Office Report, I have reinstated
the TCCOM Award and given the January, 2001
presentation to Wing XIII. Details are found in

to VA Cyric and all the officers of the GW.

NAVCOM resigns
11:31 - RA Quake [guyquake@btinternet.com]
Recently, Naval Commander, Vice Admiral Bargon
resigned. Here is the letter he sent to the Naval
Corps. [Email From r_bargon@hotmail.com -
24/1/01]

NC Staff, TFCs, and Flight Office members;
It is with great difficulty that I address you
now. For the last couple of weeks, my life has
been getting more and more hectic, and I feel that
it has been impacting my ability to operate as
NavCOM. I also am getting frustrated at the lack
of interest in the current wargame, I am seeing
barely 50% participation, and noone seems to
notice when RL makes me miss a day. For these
reasons, my inability to keep the wargame going,
and my inability to keep the wargame interesting,
I feel that I must step down as NavCOM. In my
tenure as NavCOM, and indeed my whole career in
the Naval Corps, I have tried my best to bring the
Naval Corps to the higher level that it belongs
on, and I refuse to allow the Naval Corps to be
brought down by my inactions. I will of course
still be around, to advise, and help in any way I
can, but at this time I cannot handle the daily
chores of Naval Corps Commander. Admiral Theodore,
I hope that you can find a proper Commander for
the Naval Corps, should you need some help in
finding one, I would be glad to assist in any way
I can. Task Force Commanders, my deepest apologies
for leaving this wargame unfinished, but I do not
feel that anything can be gained from trying to
drag out the inevitable, should the new NavCOM
wish to continue this wargame, I will of course
turn over all the materials I have pertaining to
it.
NavCOM/VA Bargon/VSD Monitor/Naval Corps
(retired)

Bargon will be missed and we all wish him well in
whatever he chooses to do now. :-)

New survey center question
11:17 - HA Kawolski [absurefire@aol.com]
There's a new TC Survey Center question about the
"Battle For Naboo" game. To answer it, simply log
in to the administration section (active pilots
only...sorry Cadets!).

Battle For Naboo on PC
11:06 - COL Kessler [kessler@btinternet.com]
As quoted from The Adrenaline Vault

http://www.avault.com/news/displaynews.asp?story=1242001-93832:

"LucasArts Entertainment is going to challenge PC
game players to unite against the evil Trade
Federation and strike back on land, sea and air in
the flight action game Star Wars: Battle for
Naboo. Released on the Nintendo 64, Battle for
Naboo for the PC features enhanced game
resolution, textures, and a new interface. Star
Wars: Battle for Naboo for PC is being developed
in conjunction with Factor 5 and is expected for
release in March 2001.

In Battle for Naboo, players leap into a variety
of Star Wars vehicles and traverse a wide range of
environments while clashing with numerous Trade
Federation enemies, such as battle droids, droid
starfighters and AAT's. In the more than 15
levels, players experience new and familiar Star
Wars locations while engaging in air-to-air,
ground-to-ground, space and air-to-ground
battles."
Hopefully, this game won't suck quite as badly as
all the other Episode One games. Only time will tell.

Tactical Office Openings
18:31 - AD StarLion [colstarlion@hotmail.com]
Several positions are open in the TAC Office,
interested applicants should see the Tactical

SW Half-Life mod goes down, new one takes over
23:56 - HA Kawolski [absurefire@aol.com]
The Star Wars Half-Life Mod "Call to Arms" is
closed once again. The team leader instead has
joined up with another Star Wars Half-Life Mod:
"Imperial Battles" which seems to look nicer and
be farther along in development. Gameplay is split
into three teams: Rebels, Imperials, and Bounty
Hunters (with each type holding their own unique
set of skills). The new mod also plans to feature
Light and Dark Jedis with 3rd-person light saber
dueling. According to the news, Beta 1 is set to
release next month. Check out the website here:
