Squadron News:
ORDERS FOR ALL INFERNO PILOTS:
(1) Be prepared to fly for the next Exercise Cantina Run. The battle should be announced soon; the round will last from the 19th to the 31st.
(2) Fly TC-TIE Battle #150 for the Wing X Honor Guard Competition. TFRs are due to CPT Calvin Nunb by March 23. TC-TIE Battle #167 is no longer being used.
(3) Add a part of the story in the form of a mission when the Inferno Battle Project Run-on story gets to you. COL Jack has had the file for a month, and I am forced to pass it on to LT Oskar Holtz. The run-on is attached.
(4) Recruit new pilots to the EH or to Inferno. Read the Flight Officer's policies on recruiting.
CPT CALVIN NUNB ASSUMES COMMAND OF INFERNO
Well, I'm sure you all know this one by now. I've had to stop myself from signing mails with "FL/CPT Calvin Nunb," so I guess I'm still getting used to the position. I'll be playing around with the report format over the coming weeks, so sorry if this is harder to read. On a related issue, if anyone has a copy of Wet Willy's old Thunder reports with the purple TIE Defender image in the background, I'd like to see how it looks to have a red one in the back of the Inferno reports.
This promotion raises a couple issues to resolve. Firstly, the new Flight Leader of the Kerosene Crew is...well, I can't really say yet, because the Flight Officer hasn't reviewed the promotion request (dang time zones). I can tell you, though, that I've picked a good man for the job and I'll announce it when it goes through. Also, I'll have to start working on a squadron webpage. The Flight webpage was fine for Flight II, but I would like the Inferno page to be a bit more robust than that. I give a question to the squadron members: do you prefer the current squadron board, our would creating an account on the tiecorps.org messageboards be a good idea? By running my own message board script, I can have more flexibility in the layout and potential features, but there's also some bugs (the "Oldest First" view option still doesn't work) and tiecorps.org just plain has a lot more features and is bugless.

What can I say? Manitsas has served for years as one of, if not the best CMDR in the Fleet, and he's finally moved on. The Wing can only benefit from his command, experience, and expertise. It truly is an honor to assume his former position and still have him as my superior.

--1. Locke has returned from his leave in Virginia.
--2. Cyclone Cup 2001, a 10-week competition, with each Cyclone pilot flying against each other, starts on Monday, March 19. A round-robin will determine point standings for the playoffs, in which the top 2 pilots get byes into the semi-finals. The other 4 will duke it out to get to the finals. The overall champion will recieve an IS-Bronze Wings.
