SQUADRON STATUS: The COM went and got himself really, really lost, didn't he?
NEWS

The COM is missing! To help find him, we've been given three directives by the Wing Commander:

  • Scout out territory in Star Conflict (earning as many LoCs as possible until the end of the month)
  • Each week, we'll be given one training mission to fly that was created by the COM to find clues about his whereabouts (this week's assignment is TIE-TC 244, fly for the highest possible score)
  • Every Sunday, we'll be given three clues that point to a location that the COM might have gone to (email answers to COL Frown, not the whole mailing list)

In the third week of searching for the COM, CPT Wondra turned in the correct answer for the clues we found at our last location. Your fearless leader did not win last week's mission after all, but apparently did win this week's. Maybe. But what's for certain is that he turned in the correct answer for week three's clues as well.

Quite a few competitions will have ended by the time my next report comes out. Now's the time to participate in any that you've been putting off!

This week, COL Wolfverine decided to return to the Reserves. I'm sure we'll see him again, veterans returning from the Reserves is kind of our thing now.

Medals of Communication were awarded this week, congratulations to CM Nolij on his first Gold Oak Cluster and your mighty mentor on his tenth Bronze Oak Cluster!

Your peerless presider finally managed to increase his FCHG rank to Executor [EXCR]. One more rank to go for a full set of gold wings!
OPEN COMPETITIONS
The Competitions Center and Combat Center on the TIE Corps site can provide all the details for each competition. In my reports, I'll just be listing short summaries of each open competition that are open to Sin pilots. Also, I'm treating the two Ace of the TIE Corps competitions as a given, since they're always around.
  1. Sinner's Delight: Each half of the month, our most prolific pilots will win Iron Stars! (Sin, 2680 and 2681)

  2. SC PvE: Fly at least 10 Star Conflict PvE missions, submit screenshots to the COO and COOA, highest Efficiency average from each pilot's top ten scores win awards! Bonus awards for grouping! (Whole TC, 2677)

  3. SC Wingman: Highest Assist totals from Star Conflict PvP missions win awards! (Whole TC, 2679)

  4. COO Monthly Challenge: Highest kill amount (with assists counted as half a kill) in Team Battle or Domination missions wins a DFC! This is now automatically tracked from LoC submissions, no need to send a separate email. (Whole TC, 85)

  5. Find the COM: See above, plus competition numbers 2676, 2675, and 2674 in the database (Wing II)

  6. X-Wing Replay: This year, we're flying through the original missions in X-Wing! In January in February, fly TOD 1: A New Ally. Pilot file and screenshot of the debriefing screen should be sent to the TAC. High scores for the whole tour win awards! (Whole TC, 2664)

  7. TIE Fighter Replay: This year, we're also flying through the original missions in TIE Fighter! In January, fly Battle 1: The Aftermath of Hoth. Pilot file should be sent to the TAC. High scores for the whole battle win awards!(Whole TC, 2665)

  8. Mobile Gaming Mania: Each month, the TAC will pick a free mobile game. Take a screenshot of your highest score and submit it to the TAC, highest scores win Iron Stars! January's game hasn't been announced yet.(Whole TC, 2669)

  9. One Word Run-On: Over on the message board, we're doing a one-word-at-a-time story. Highest participation earns rewards! (Whole TC, 2637)
