Commander CPT Al R.S. reporting in for Sigma Squadron on 07.11.2000
Squadron & Fleet News:
* Our Wing Commander, LC Harkonnen is still experiencing some serious
hardware problems and is currently cut off from the Net. This means CM
Inkwolf will be our Acting Wing Commander for some more time.
* TIE Corps has new Flight Officer! After a rather unexpected resignation of
Admiral Nighthawk from this position due to RL problems and a short period
of time when High Admiral Kawolski returned to act as an Acting FO we have a
new Flight Officer - Vice Admiral Sarris. And yes, she is the first female
Flight Officer in the history of TIE Corps.
* SL Alexander has completed his first Battle flying Battle 155 for the
final round of the Squadrons' League and has meet all the requirements
needed to promote him to the rank of Lieutenant. Recommendation has been
already accepted, so congratulations, LT Alexander - this is your first step
as a proven Imperial Pilot!
* Our Cantina is currently a very busy place - I even haven't got time to
read all messages send there during the last week! But since in my mailbox
resides more then 370 of them - and that what was usually send to Cantina
during a whole month! - it is rather acceptable, isn't it?
Squadron Status:
* The deadline of the final round of the Squadrons' League is rapidly
closing by! Just to remind you - the Battle to fly is Battle 155 - The
Supplies War - and the deadline has been set to 15th of July - that is this
Saturday. And since it is the final round I expect nothing less than a 100%
participation ratio - if not, better prepare a very, very good excuse or our
Drill Officer will tear you apart, and I will gladly help him in performing
his duty!

Showed very, very good Cantina activity.
Well, it looks as the Holidays has a big impact on our overall Cantina
activity, so perhaps I should invite a new system of giving notes for
Cantina activity. I will wait some time with the changes though just to make
sure it wasn't a one-time anomaly.
Miscellaneous:
* Round fifth of the second season of TIE League has been announced! The
mission to fly is Free TIE Mission 110 and the deadline is set to 19th of
July.
* Please remember that our Cantina is open to any Pilot or loyal Empire
Citizen, so if you know anyone who would like to join us feel free to invite
him (or her)! The signing process is a very simple one and requires only the
sending of a single e-mail to
replying to the confirmation message.
* Please remember, that the calendar at our Cantina homepage
(www.egroups.com/group/cantina) will list all our future competitions, and
two e-mail reminders will be send to all Cantina members automagically two
and one day before any deadline.
