Commander CPT Al R.S. reporting in for Sigma Squadron on 05.29.2000
Squadron News:
* It is a very sad information, but... Our Wing Commander, the Creator of
our Wing's Success, the Man behind the Ballista - GN Gallows - decided to
resign from the position of a Wing Commander... Sir! It was a real privilege
and a great fun to serve under your Command! Although our Squadron wasn't as
active on-line as other Wing II Squadrons, and we were as visible as we
would like to be (at least in terms of outgoing communication) I'm sure
every Sigma Pilot will miss you very much! Of course, you could stay in our
Cantina as long as you like, Sir, and we will gladly cover all your expenses
there - at least as long as we will have enough credits left to maintain a
normal level of our Squadron's operations.
* LC Freelancer, Commander of Rho Squadron has been transferred to Naval
Corps to take a position of NAVCOM. He was also promoted to the rank of Vice
Admiral, but unfortunately that also means he left our Wing... Well, it is
almost too much grief news for one week, especially that last week we have
said goodbye to Colonel Saquatch of Psi. Well, hopefully our Wing will be
able to bear with this three losses...
* Well, there is one bright information in this section - we have been
awarded the Wing Commander's Own! This is quite a surprise, but a well
deserved one. Thank you all for your performance, as thanks to it we managed
to get the last Wing Commander's Own award awarded by GN Gallows, at least
for the time being.
* LT Quowal, due to his RL obligations, has decided not to return to our
Squadron due to his RL activities and now we have one vacant position in our
Squadron! If you know any Polish-speaking Cadet, have a RL friend who likes
TIE Fighter or just want to make contact with Daedalus Platform
inhabitants - recruit!
Squadron Status:
* The deadline of the ninth round of the Squadron League is closing! We have
only one day left to finish free TIE Mission 106 and send the report to our
Commander - that's not much time, but fortunately we have already got a 8/11
participation ratio and this should further improve - if not, than our Drill
Officer will gladly meet with you one on one.
* Wing II vs. Wing X: The sequel competition is also underway! The rules are
simple: the Wing with highest total score wins, so both participation and
high score is very important here. The battle we are to fly is Battle 148
(the battle has been updated, so make sure you have the current version!)
and the deadline is set to fourth of June, so we have got one week to
complete it.
* Our Cantina competition for illuminating CPT Todbringer's "One year in the
TIE Corps" anniversary is nearing the deadline! Just to remind in case you
forget - the deadline is the end of the May, so you have got only two days
left to send your presents to Cantina.
* There is no word about the Squadron vs. Squadron competition with Tempest.
It should have started 20th of May, but there is still no word about it
although it is almost two weeks after the planned begin date...
* If you really have a lot of time you could participate in TOC #5, although
the deadline is set to 31st of May and I can't guarantee you will get any
award... All information can be found on Training Office Homepage, so I
won't repeat it here.

* Second season of the TIE League has started! Participating Pilots are to
fly Free TIE Mission 16 - Pappy 1, and the deadline is set to 3rd of June,
so you have got less than a week!
* Please remember that our Cantina is open to any Pilot or loyal Empire
Citizen, so if you know anyone who would like to join us feel free to invite
him (or her)! The signing process is a very simple one and requires only the
sending of a single e-mail to
replying to the confirmation message.
* Please remember, that the calendar at our Cantina homepage

two e-mail reminders will be send to all Cantina members automagically two
and one day before any deadline.
