Commander CPT Al R.S. reporting in for Sigma Squadron on 13.03.2000
Squadron News:
* We have a new Pilot! SL Haggis McMutton has joined our Squadron as his new
home after leaving PLT Deadalus and now is a member of Flight I, flying on
position 1-2.
* SL Obi-Kan Kysiobi has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant after he
completed his first Battle, and is now a real Sigma Squadron Pilot! Welcome
in!
* LT Ti'Anna has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander for her
long and exemplary service in the Imperial Navy! Congratulations, Mam, you
really deserved this!
* LT Gambit has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander for his
long and worthy service in the Imperial Navy! Congratulations, Brother!
* The second round of TIE League finals is over (Battle 139) and both of
Sigma Squadron pilots have placed in the first five: Al R. S., Zorn Starn,
Brandon, Ixion Deathbringer, Artyis. The top five pilots are now: Al R. S.,
Brandon, Ixion Deathbringer, Artyis, Compton - if you want to see yourself
in the list in the future, don't hesitate to sign in for the second edition
of the TIE League - details can be found in the Miscellaneous Section of
this report.
Squadron Status:
* The fifth round of the Squadrons' League ends 14th of March - that is
tomorrow! We are to fly Battle 132 - remember, the Squadrons' League is our
most important Competition so there is no excuse to not flying it! And one
more thing - it is much better to fly it even on Easy than not doing it at
all - this is the first time we could achieve a 12/12 participation ratio -
make all you can to help our Squadron achieve this!
* The fourth round of our in-squadron competition ends 20.03.2000. The
battle to fly is Battle 77, and we have to fly it on at least medium
difficulty settings, but apart from that the only thing that is important is
participation, so don't let your Flight mates down.
* The TOC #5 has not been cancelled after all, and new missions should be
posted soon, but there is still no deadline set so far.

* Current TIE Corps personnel count is 1091
* From the TIE Corps news page: "I'm sure many of you have heard about TIE
League. Well, I'm now accepting applications for the second season. Over 50
pilots participated in the first season, which is currently in its final
stages. TIE League involves flying one mission a week for 6 weeks. Then, if
you're good enough, you will proceed to the finals. I invite all members of
the TIE Corps to come and prove just how good a pilot they really are.
Medals will be given out, a Bronze Star for first, Palpatine Crescent for
seconds, and an Imperial Security Medal for third, fourth, and fifth. E-mail
