Fleet News
Check http://www.tiecorps.org/news.asp for the most recent information. Buried in the EH news archives was word that RA Quake is developing a Star Wars game. There have also been some political shake-ups in the Dark Brotherhood. Some battles cleaned up by the Tac Office. The new Dark Sentinel is out. Blah…blah…blah…;)
Wing News
It’s been fairly quiet in the Wing, aside from GN Steve’s little outburst in the Wing Report (#25). LT Narshay, who created the fine Spear uniform patch, has been promoted (to CM, no less) and given command of Shield Squadron. Let’s see…that means drinks are on Shield this week…;)
Squadron News
Things haven’t been so quiet in Spear Squadron. Commander Tack left us for the Colossus, and there were a number of command position changes. LT Ironfist is now FL of Flight II, and CM Darkfire takes over as FL of Flight III. And LCM CajunBoy joined us from the Reserves. We’re up to six members again!
The deadline for Phase I of Cantina Run III was two days ago, and I’m happy to report that Spear managed an 80% participation rate. Only LT Pirat didn’t get a submission in on time. The Graphics Phase starts tomorrow (March 10), and I expect 100% participation this time. It doesn’t have to be a work of art, the Sith knows mine isn’t, but it needs to get done. It can be something as simple as a starfield background with ‘Spear Squadron’ or ‘Wing IX’ or whatever written on it. I asked, and uniform creation does NOT count for this phase. (I know…I mentioned this before. But it bears repeating.)
The good news is that activity on the whole is up. Now we just need to try to keep it this way.

CMDR/CM Krax Tarnisar: Did command stuff – flew TC 67, 85, and 87 – submitted a battle to the Tac Office – did some work on Project Distant Talon for the LO – did a bit of long-range planning for the squadron
FM/LT Pirat: Checked in – was having net connection problems
FL/LT Argyle Ironfist: Promoted to Flight Leader – submitted revised fiction for BCRIII – flew TC 160 – proposed a web site for Flight II and the squadron – awarded ISM (and there was much rejoicing…)
FL/CM Darkfire: Promoted to Flight Leader – submitted fiction for BCRIII – updated his INPR – completed IWATS course CBX (100%) – recruited LCM CajunBoy for the squadron
FM/LT Owen: Submitted revised fiction for BCRIII – promised to fly a mission
FM/LCM CajunBoy: Joined from the Reserves on 3/6
FL/CM Brad Tack: Transferred to Mu Squadron (Wing VIII, ISD Colossus) on March 3.
Miscellaneous
Let’s see if we can get some more flying done this week. TC 152 is a good mission, as it relates to our Wing and even features Spear Squadron in a mission. I’ve attached it to this report. Fly it, or fly something else. It can be a Free Mission if you don’t have time for a Battle. Just FLY! If you’re having computer troubles, please let me know.
And as for promotions – “You tell my tutor that I’ve still got those pictures of him and the dean. I think I’ll ask for one of those Ph.D. things next year.” – Mike ‘the Cool Person’ (token Young Ones reference for the week), telling you all how to get Flag rank…:P
