Epsilon Report # 1 (2002-04-12)

This report was submitted by CM Ard Royber

Introduction.

Greetings, pilots of the Epsilon squadron. Let me introduce myself. Of course, you should have already known me, but today I introduce myself in a completely new quality - I’m the new Epsilon CMDR, CM Ard Royber.
I hope we will get used to each other quickly. I’m going to make this squadron one of the best. Firstly, in the Wing. And you, pilots, are going to help me.
One important thing: I share the opinions of CMDRs, who consider that a squadron doesn’t need inactive pilots. You may see the details in “Rules” section.
If you’ve got any problems, ideas or just want to chat - I’m available on ICQ (132488902)

P.S. I’m sorry in advance for possible delays with BSFs for the first time-I’m not sure I’ll get used doing them easily.
I answer mails in 24 hours, can be seen on ICQ.

Hint of the week A LCM with less than 200 FCHG points is not a real LCM ;-)

Squadron News
New CMDR - CM Ard Royber - was appointed

Squadron Status
Our squadron has 2 FL positions opened. I’m going to continue the tradition of FL’s appointments. So, FL-2 will be the squadrons XO. His duties will be helping with squadron site, with helping me to run the squadron and be an A-CMDR while I’m on leave ( your own ideas are welcome). FL-3 will be the squdron’s OP. He’ll design comps and all the staff of such a kind. So, if anyone wants to fill a FL spot, mail me.
Now we have 4 citations.

Activity Reports
No activity reports for this time, due to the fact it’s only 3rd day of my commandship.

Flying plan.
We will have our own plan of flying. But I haven’t yet finished it, so read next Epsilon WSE.

Orders.
AWOL check. You have 4 days to mail me, or I’ll give you a Red Flag (see Rules)

2. Fly a battle.
Basic:
Just one battle. This time you are to select a battle yourselves.
Additional:
None this week.
3. Attention.
During the month I’ll track your activity and count it in so-called Officer Activity Points - OAP’s :-). The person, who earns more of them, will get a title of “The Best Epsilon Officer” and get an ISM. Perhaps, even promoted.

Approximate values:
IWATS completed: 10 points
Mission flown: 1 point.
Good idea submitted ;-): 1-4 points.
Competition designed and approved by me: 5 points
Competition winner: 10 points.
Active FLs get bonus points per week.
Of course, this is not exact system, with not all activities mentioned.

Rules.
FLs are to send me short reports on activity in their Flights not later than Thursday.
Each of you is to fly 2 battles per week (8-10 missions total). If no battle is mentioned in Orders, you are to select it by yourselves. Persons, who have more than 500 FCHG points, may fly only 1 battle.
Any battles, ordered to fly additionally (for comps , or smth else) are to be flown in time.
Fail one of this demands and you get a Red Flag.
Small faults, or particular failure of previous duties will be punished with Yellow Cards. Get 3 YC’s and you’ll get a RF.
If you fly extra battles, or do extra work during the week, you may get rid of 1 RF or 1-2 YC’s.
If you get 2 RF’s in the month, you are a Sleeping Beauty. SB’s are usually demoted of AWOLED. After the end of the month RF’s are cleared, but not YC’s.
Active and capable officers will be awarded.
CMDR is punished in the same system.

Just remember: I don’t need people, just sitting on IRC or writing emails. I need disciplined and active Imperial officers.
