Hello again... I was waiting for SC final scores, that's why this report is late. I decided not to wait another day. I will give you one more additional report in the end of the week. Still not sure which place we are holding. I suppose we are second, but everything is possible. I have to say you did great in this competition. I have never been so proud before. You have two weeks of vacation. I mean Tvan'Oris, Derek, Chris, Hubert, Drako, Ace, Arti and Wiesio. Flagellant, you have one week until I will request removal form. No Top Ace competition this week, I was ordered to aprove this competition again. LCM Chris won the Citations Storm competition for May, Congrats! LCM Ace created his first XWA-FREE mission. It is still undownloadable, hope it will be uploaded soon. My MSE has been sent, I think you will satisfied, well at least some of you ;]. This week was very quiet, and nothing interesting happend. The only thing that is worth of attention is Wing XIV Competition results. Our three great Pilots took very high places in this competition. Tvan'Oris won in Graphics Creation and was an overall winner!! LCM Ace was third in FCHG race, second in the Graphics Creation, second in IWATS Courses writing and was third in overall clasification!! LCM Derek Dan was third in fiction writing!!!

= "Lost Souls [Part Three]" =
- Diamondback CMDR reports that the target has been destroyed - one of the officers said.
- I can see that - VA Brakka said angrily while turning his head away from the viewport.
- Can someone please tell me what have just happened! - he continued with anger.
The unlucky officer took one step forward and said:
- S...Sir, we've just been analyzing data from the ATR, but we haven't found anything yet.
Brakka turned to the officer and said:
- I've just ordered to destroy an ATR full of our troopers and you tell me that you still don't know why they disobeyed my order to stop!
Cold shiver went through the officer's body. He stood in front of his COM paralyzed. He had no answer to VA's question. Suddenly, another officer spoke:
- May I suggest something, sir.
No matter whether this officer was so stupid or so brave, he had gotten VA's attention.
- I'm listening - COM said and turned to the officer.
- I think that they didn't stop because they were already dead and as one of the navigation officers reported, the ATR was going on an autopilot. Furthermore, I think that they were killed by some sort of biological or chemical weapon. One of the stormtrooper reported a contamination just before the link with ATR was broken.
- Interesting theory but bio scans onboard ATR haven't detected anything - VA Brakka replied.
- Sir, maybe we are dealing with an unknown virus or something similar. If I remember right, stormtrooper's headgear has air filters that protects against any known contamination. Those filters didn't save those soldiers this time.
- Those are only your speculation, lieutenant - Brakka said - but we still need to be one hundred percent sure what's down there and since our bio scans are not accurate enough, we'll probably have to wait for a science team from Aurora ... - Brakka hesitated - ... or maybe you have another idea, lieutenant? - he added and smiled.
- Actually, I have - officer replied.
The answer surprised everyone.
- We have a new, prototype Mark VII Probe Droids onboard - officer continued - and as I heard, they are capable of detecting even the smallest amount of organic material. Their scanners are much more powerful than those onboard an ATR.
- You suggest that we use them to find this contamination? - COM asked.
- Yes - officer replied.
- Sir, permission to speak - another officer said.
- Granted.
- Sir, we were supposed to test them at our next stop. Those were orders from the science office - officer said.
- Well, seems they'll have their test earlier - Brakka replied.
- When will they be ready to use? - VA asked.
- They will be ready in eight hours - officer replied.
- Good. - VA Brakka said and turned to the officer, that gave him this idea.
- Good job, lieutenant ... - Brakka looked at the path on lieutenant's uniform - ... Gibes. We should have more officers like you - he added.
- Thank you, sir - Gibes replied, straightened up, saluted and walked away.
CPT Michael felt tired. This wasn't his best day. In fact it was one of the worse since he had started his service. He took shower, but this didn't help. He decided to go to canteen and meet with fellow pilots. As he entered the canteen, he noticed something. It was too peaceful. There were some pilots sitting at the tables and drinking bear, but they were speaking quietly. It all looked like somebody died or something worse happened. Michael felt uncomfortable. He started moving towards the table, but suddenly he felt as everyone were staring at him. He stopped and looked around, but he didn't noticed anyone. "Just my imagination" he though and he continued to walk. At one of the tables in the far corner of the canteen LCM Tissaya Argat was chatting with her flight member, LCM Relsien:
- You've heard what happened, heh? - LCM Argat said.
- Yeah, bad news spread fast - Relsien replied. - God, it must have been terrible - he added.
- Yeah, hard to imagine.... being ordered to destroy fellow imperials - Tissaya said.
- I don't know what would I do if I was in Michael's shoes - Relsien said.
- What could you do. You would follow the order - Tissaya said with sadness.
- Yeah, probably. - Relsien replied.
As Tissaya was about to answer her flight member, she saw Michael.
- Hey, there's Michael. Wait a moment Relsien, I'll go talk with him.
She stood from the table and walk to the Michael's table.
- Are you waiting for someone, CPT? - Tissaya asked.
- Oh, hi Tiss, ... no , it's free, ... sit down if you like - Michael answered.
- So, how's going? - LCM Argat asked but in the same moment she bit her tongue. This wasn't the best way to start conversation, at least not today. Michael looked at her a bit hurt.
- Oh, damn, I'm sorry Michael, I didn't mean to. Is there something I can do for you? - she said quickly.
- That's alright, Tiss. Thanks for your support, but right now I just want to be alone for a moment - Michael answered.
- Ok, see you - she said, gave a warm smile and walked away.
VA Brakka was looking through the viewport at the Republic base. He turned his head away when he heard footsteps. An officer saluted and gave him a datapad. Brakka took the datapad in his hand, examined it and said:
- Good, probe droids are already onboard the ATR.
- Are the astromech droids also in the ATR? - Brakka asked.
- Yes - officer replied.
- Give order to launch - Brakka ordered.
- Yes, sir! - officer nodded
Another officer approached VA.
- Sir, we've just received orders from Aurora - he reported and gave datapad to VA Brakka.
Brakka started to read: "Orders has been changed. You are to remain at your current position and await a team of scientists. They should arrive in two days. Furthermore, we are dispatching ISD Grey Wolf to join you. Its commodore has already received his orders. He is to help you capture and secure your findings. For the time being don't try to board any vessel."
Brakka finished reading, gave the datapad back to the officer and asked him:
- Have you received any info about that VSD?
- Yes, but not much. A VSD named Republican was used to patrol the less populated regions of core systems against pirate attacks. We've also found a reference stating that it was destroyed during one of the skirmishes with pirates and that there were no survivors.
VA Brakka smiled and thanked the officer for the information. "So, they put fake record in the archives so that nobody would look for the Republican. This way they could have a permanent protection for this base. Very clever" he thought.
- Sir, the ATR has entered the VSD's hangar bay. Droids are leaving the ATR as we speak - officer reported.
Brakka waited for few seconds and asked:
- So, is our probe working?
- Yes, most definitely - officer responded - The probe has filtered the air and has found some kind of a virus. It's transmitting data now - he added.
- I guess we'll leave this data for the scientists. They'll will know what to do with it - Brakka said.
- Should the probe take a sample of this virus? - officer asked.
- Let's leave it where it is, at least for now - VA Brakka ordered, turned to another officer and asked:
- How are our astromechs doing?
- No good, sir - officer replied.
- What? - VA said surprised.
- It's seems they can't connect to the computer system - officer said.
- What seems to be the problem - Brakka asked.
- Sockets - officer replied.
- Excuse me? - VA said.
- Droid's connection sockets on this VSD are to old and obsolete - officer said.
- So find a droid that is old and obsolete - Brakka said.
- I'm afraid that we won't find any droid on the Intrepid that would be old enough - officer said and turned to VA Brakka.
- Great... - VA Brakka sighed - ...any other good news today? - he said with irony.
