As all of you already know, we were placed on the second position. I am really satisfied by yours efforts. You showed best performance during those two long months. I was unable to help you as much as I wish to. I failed few important school tests so don't say I wasn't trying. I am disapointed with Flagellant's attitude. Well, I have a proposition for you LCM but I will discuss about this matter later. The thing that makes me proud is that CM Tvan'Oris is Agressor Strike Force Top Ace Pilot, add it to your ID-line Tvan ;]. Of course other also did great... Derek, Ace, Hubert, Arti, Chris, Drako and Wiesio. We finished ASF:SC IV with 17165 points, what can I say... beautiful, wonderful, fantastic, gorgeous work!! I never supposed that we are going to take such a high position... It is great honour to lead such great and experienced pilots. I already received my reward for SC, this award are you my friends. Thank you for yours dedication... For the glory of DIAMONDBACK !!!!

= "Lost Souls [Part Four]" =
When CPT Marcin Kaczynski entered the briefing room, he saw many officers from different squadrons there. He recognized some pilots from Krayt, Cobra and Copperhead. He looked at the pilots a bit longer and finally found his flight leader, CM Adam Szydlowski. He moved towards him and sat on a nearby chair.
- So, what's going on? Why are we all here? - he asked his flight leader.
- I don't know, but I heard Wil is going to do the briefing personally - Adam answered - By the way, have you seen LCM Flagellant anywhere? - Adam continued.
- Sorry, I don't know where he is. - Marcin answered.
- Well, let's hope he won't be late for the briefing this time - CM Szydlowski finished.
"Attention!" - one of the pilots said when COL Wil Striker entered the briefing room.
- At ease - COL Striker said when he walked to the display panel.
- We don't have time to do the full briefing now. - he said and continued - You'll get your hyperjump coordinates from the flight control when you launch. Now, for your mission. For the past three hours we've been trying to take control of the VSD Republican. All our efforts failed, because we don't have a droid that could access the destroyer's computer. We need a very old astromech droid. The specifications have already been uploaded to your fighters' computers. Your job is to find that droid. Each flight will jump into a different part of this sector. Your orders are to look for any signs of habitation and contact them. I don't care if it will be a trade outpost, mining colony, pirate depot or even a deep space convoy. If you find something report at once. We have an ATR standing by for exchange - WC finished saying and then looked at his pilots. They were all more than a bit concerned with their mission. Seeing this, WC said:
- I know it will be like looking for a needle in a haystack, but we have no other option. We can't retrieve a droid from the VSD for reprogramming, because by doing so we could contaminate the Intrepid. I believe, you'll get that job done.
WC finished and left the briefing room in a hurry.
- Wow, that was the quickest briefing I've ever been to - said LCM Flagellant who just joined CM Szydlowski and CPT Kaczynski.
- Late as always - Marcin said.
- Hey, sorry, but I had, you know, some thing to do - Flag responded.
- I think I heard that excuse before - CM Szydlowski said and smiled.
An officer walked to VA Brakka and gave him a datapad.
- Those are the reports you asked for, sir! - he said.
- Both platforms have been successfully boarded? - Brakka asked.
- Yes, droids were able to check both platforms' mainframes - officer responded.
VA Brakka looked at the datapad. One thing caught his attention. ".... both platforms' self destruct mechanisms have been armed...." .
- So, they wanted to destroy that virus, before it gets out - Brakka said to himself.
"I wonder why they didn't do it" he thought.
He read the report further. ".... energy levels are too low right now to set off the charges. Sending some power generators is suggested".
"Yes, that's a good idea. We need to be prepared if something goes wrong" Brakka thought. Then he turned to the officer and ordered:
- Keep those droids onboard those platforms and maintain a steady link with them. Also send some power generator there as suggested in this report.
Officer nodded and was about to leave when VA asked a question:
- Is the briefing of our recon flights over?
The officer turned and said:
- Yes, the pilots are already in their crafts and COL Striker is on his way here.
- Thank you. Carry on. - VA Brakka said.
"Permission to launch granted" the voice in the speakers said.
- Acknowledge flight control. We are launching now - CM Szydlowski said.
"Navigation data has been uploaded to your computers. You may proceed to your first navigation point. Good luck Diamondback III" the voice continued.
Three T/Ds formed up. The view they saw was a bit strange. On their left was ISD Intrepid with hundreds of flashing lights. On their right almost all was dark. They knew that there was a VSD and two platforms but without lights, it was hard to see them.
A moment of silence passed. They were near the jump point when CPT Kaczynski asked a question:
- Hey, have you spoken with Michael about replacement for the three-two position?
- Yes. Unfortunately we'll have to wait a bit longer. There aren't many new cadets on the Daedalus right now and all available are being assigned to the Sov. - CM Szydlowski answered.
He looked at the scanner and noticed that they had reached the jump point.
- We are here. Initiate hyperjump - he ordered.
Fighters entered hyperspace. It took them more than an hour to reached their destination. When they dropped to real space , Adam ordered:
- Let's do a far scan. Report if you find something.
After a moment Marcin said:
- I have a weak reading at 180 clicks. It's a platform and several corvettes. Looks like a smuggler's depot.
- Good, I'll try to hail them - CM Szydlowski said - This is CM Adam Szydlowski from Emperor's Hammer ISD Intrepid. Unknown station please respond. - he continued.
Response came quickly in form of a squadron of Z-95s launching from the platform.
"Damn, they think we are hostile" CM Szydlowski thought and said:
- Call off your fighters. We do not wish to attack you. I repeat, we do not wish to attack you.
"Get the hell out of here, imperials, or our fighters will blow you to pieces" a voice in speaker said.
CM Szydlowski smiled. He could take a squadron of Z-95s in his T/D anytime. Although he wanted to teach those smugglers a lesson, he knew that his mission was far more important.
- I repeat, we are not hostile. We search for something, that I believe you might have. We are willing to pay well for it - he said.
A moment of silence came. Both fighters groups were still closing on each other. Then a message form depot came:
"Make us believe that you are not hostile"
CM Szydlowski thought for a second and then opened a public channel and ordered his men:
- Drop your shields down and set throttle to zero.
He quickly switched to scrambled channel and added:
- Be prepared to transfer power from cannon to shields if anything goes wrong
Adam's flight members knew that this is very risky, but they trusted their flight leader. Three T/Ds were now an easy prey without shields and with zero speed. Enemy fighters were still closing on them. There was silence in the speakers. LCM Flagellant nervously looked at the CMD ..... 3 clicks ....... 2 clicks ...... 1 click .... enemy fighters were still on attack vector. Suddenly they made an evasive maneuver and begun circling around T/Ds like an hungry vultures.
"They believe us" - Flag thought with relief.
A message from depot came:
"We didn't destroy you, but that doesn't mean that we trust you. What do you want from us and what do you have for us"
- We need to find a droid. I'm sending its specifications now. In exchange we have an ATR waiting -CM Szydlowski said.
After a moment of silence answer came:
"We might have a droid with similar specifications but it will be an older model. Now tell me what do you need this droid for and what guarantee do I have that you won't destroy this depot once you have the droid?"
- Knowing what we need this droid for is none of your business and ...... - CM Szydlowski wasn't able to finish saying.
"I think it is my business. I can order to kill you right now, so speak up!" - smuggler shouted in the microphone.
That got CM Szydlowski furious:
- And I can call Intrepid do drop just behind your depot right now and we'll see who will live longer, smuggler.
There was no answer for a some time. The smugglers were obviously considering their chances against an ISD. The couldn't have known that there was no ISD close enough to respond to CM Szydlowski's call. It was just a bluff.
Finally, smugglers answered:
"We will do business, not fight, today. What you'll do with this piece of junk is your problem. The droid will be ready within an hour. We wait for our payment"
- Acknowledge. We'll signal to send it right now. Another ATR will take the droid. Where should it dock? - Adam said.
"Negative. We don't trust you that much. CRV Onego will launch the droid in an escape capsule and your ATR will retrieve it" he heard in response.
- Acceptable - he answered.
"One more thing. I'm sure you'll understand us in this. Our fighters will still keep an eye for you as long as the deal isn't complete. Don't move or charge your shields" smuggler said.
- Don't worry we aren't going anywhere until we get the droid. CM Szydlowski out - Adam said.
Then he ordered:
- Flag, contact the Intrepid and tell that we have found a droid and we need that ATR to pay for it.
- Right away - Flag nodded.
An officer rushed to VA Brakka. He stopped in front of him, saluted and said:
- Sir, we have a message from one of our recon flights. They report that they have found the droid at a smugglers depot and they request ATRs to be sent as planned.
- Good, finally some good news. Send those two ATRs right now - Brakka ordered - what about other recons? - he continued.
- They haven't found anything, sir - officer reported, saluted and left.
COL Wil Striker joined VA Brakka.
- So we were lucky today - COL Striker said .
- It seems so... - VA Brakka said - ...but I'm a bit worried. What if those smugglers inform someone. We could have Rebels here very quickly. - he finished.
- You suggest that we destroy this depot? - WC asked.
- We can't do that. I ordered our recon flights to guarantee safety to anyone who will help us... - Brakka said - ... but we could arrest them until we are done here.
- That would be bending the rules - WC said.
- Yes, I know, but I rather put up with this than with a Rebel fleet - Brakka answered.
- There's another problem. We don't have enough fighters to do it right now - Striker replied.
- Yes, I'm aware of this. We'll just have to wait with this until Grey Wolf arrives - Brakka said.

Every week, Diamondback Squadron CMDR award "Top Ace of the week" award to most active pilot (FCHG + CR). So basically we have 4 awards per month. Pilot with most awards in months will get IS-BW. If there is a tie, both pilots get IS-BW. If four pilots are in tie, nobody gets the award.
