Squadron News:
This weekend my gf returned from a long trip to spain, so pleace excuse the delay for this report ;P Beside that there´s been the Challenge vs. Fear Comp phase 1. But only me and Ryan participated in it. That´s something I am unable to accept! There´ve been 5 ways to participate in and you used none! I wanna see submissions from ALL of you for phase 2! You should at least answer the trivia or send in some graphics!

ISD Challenge vs. MC 90 Fear:

The first phase started 4th and ended 16th August:

SP flying (TIE Free 182; XvT Free 25; XWA Free 76)

MP flying (1 vs 1 only)

Trivia (each WC comes up with 35 Trivia questions. At the end of phase 1 the questions will be exchanged for answering in phase 2)

Phase one ended with only Ryan and me participating from Typhoon!!!! I wanna see submissions from ALL of you for phase 2!!!!!!


The second phase starts 17th and ends 28th August:

SP flying (TIE Free 164; XvT Free 78; XWA Free 63)

MP flying (1 vs 1 only)

Trivia answering

Graphics (Picture of MC-90 'Fear' and ISD 'Challenge' - fighting together, side by side with NR task force. One submission per pilot.)

Submissions for the SP parts go to me, the MP submissions have to be done by the winner to his COM, CCing the opponents COM and the opponent. Trivia submissions go to the COM only, Graphics to both COMs.

I want to see ALL of you participate in ALL sections of this comp. Only excuse is that you don’t own the game. The graphics don’t have to be superb! They just need to be graphics done by you! And the Trivia should be no real problem. It shouldn’t take you very long to answer 35 questions. So I order you to participate in really ALL Parts of the comp!!!!!!

Typhoon Competitions:

"Just do it" ------> starting monday 12th and ending sunday 18th Mai. Fly Tie TC 208 and win an IS-BW for best laserless score.
OK..this one will last till I get at least 2 other pilot files from you!

Last weeks story at the end:

Woody was sitting in his TD, returning to the Challenge from his leave he planed to be 2 days long and that did last for a month now. While travelling throu hyperspace he had time to reflex what had happened.

He started from the Challenge 2nd July to make a short visit to his cohabitee. He did spend this night with her in their appartment they rented 2 years ago. It should have been the only night, cause he had to return to the Challenge immediately for a friendly competition against another Wing, Wing XX. But in that night there was a terrorist attack, planed by Rebel spies. The appartment, lying close to one of the biggest factories of the planet that was target of the attack, catched fire and nearly burned out in the middle of the night.

By luck Woody woke up because of the heat and was able to extinguish the fire before the whole appartment burned out. But he suffered some injuries at his lung cause he did breath in too much smoke. That´s why he had to spend 2 days in the nearby hospital.

After he was released from hospital he had to help his cohabitee to find a new apparment and to get everything arranged, before he could return to his command.

It was a pure odyssey to walk from one bureau to the next and get every started that needed to be done. But he finaly got it all running again and was able to leave his cohabitee alone till his next short leave without having to worry about her too much.

Now back in his TD he felt what he missed during those hectic weeks. The feeling of beeing alone out there in a powerfull fighter and feeling that there is nothing that could stop him...

That was the moment when he dropped out of hyperspace and faced the silhuette of the Challenge.

"This is Woody, ID 3034, requesting clearance to land!" he send out throu his com. "Clearance granted! Good to have you back!" he could hear the voice of the com officer. But his thoughts were already in his office where he surely would find tons of records waiting for him on his desk.

Woody just entered his office as his com signalized an incoming call. Walking around his desk he activated the com and saw into the face of his WC Frey. "I´m glad you´re back Woody, and not one second too early. We´ll have some training with an IW ship, the MC90 Fear. CMDR briefing has been yesterday, but you´ll find all you need on your desk. Get your men informed!" "Ok Frey. I´ll see what I can do, but you know about the moral of my men atm? They are more dead then alive!" "I know Woody, but do your job! Get them ready for battle!" "I´ll do the best I can, but I cant promise anything. Jack and John are still in sickbay recovering from their last fight about who´s gonna be the next weeks "girl of the week", Zarn is drunk as always lately since his former CMDR decided to leave Typhoon again and Yokel is still meditating in his rooms with his door sealed from the inside! The only one I can reach and count on is Ryan. Maybe it would be best to cancel Typhoons participation in this comp." "No way Woody! We need every man out there to show the Fear what a real ship is made of! So get your men to battlestations! That´s an order!" "I´ll do my very best Sir!"
