Greetings, everyone! In case someone hasn't heard or noticed it yet, I was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel yesterday - so the festivities are still on, get your free drinks while you still can :-) I'd like to thank COL Es'mith and AD Proton for the honours, it's nice to get up a rank once in a while. It's just that I was a Major for such a long time that it'll be difficult to remember my new ID line...That said, the promotion(s) in Mem don't stop there, so stay tuned...
Squadron News :
- As said above, I was promoted to the rank of LC. Congrats also to the newly promoted Sadhe CMDR, CPT Ky Terrak!
- The new Mem website is finally online! Many thanks to LCM Dvader for his relentless efforts. The site is still under construction, though, so any comments or new ideas should be directed straight to Dvader. The site can be found at http://www.mem.squadron.org
- LC Jesseb Skyrauch returned from his leave, but due to unfortunate RL circumstances he's been forced to take some more time off.

Current Events :
- The final round of the SSSD Sov Squadron League has been announced! The assigned battles are TIE-TC #194, XvT-TC #70 and XWA-FCHG #3, and the deadline is the usual two weeks away on August 22nd. Go for it!
- The Mem Squadron Banner Design Contest is on, but I've yet to receive any submissions for it! Create a new stunning banner for our squadron and win an Iron Star - Bronze Ribbon (IS-BR)! Check the competition info at http://www.emperorshammer.net/competitions/details.asp?ID=748

CM Ryan Chi'Cath has already beaten COL Es'mith in this, and myself and CM Nick Chi'Cath have challenged him. Expect results soon!
