Pilot Activity:
Shivor Dahr is MIA and will be considered AWOL and a deserter on Nov 1st if no contact.

LT Abhay Alok continues flying and gaining skill. He achieved the Grenadier FCHG rank. Participated in the Delta vs. Alpha competition. He is actively trying to recruit two pilots into Tie Fighter and the Tie Corps.

MAJ Talons Pryde has kept email contact. His computer has died and will take time to repair. RL is taking up much of his time.

LT Kaiser flew TF 208 and TC 2. He has been active in the DB. Continues gaining skill in piloting. Has bought XWA and XvT for future possibilities. He achieved the Grenadier FCHG rank.

LT Arlins flew TF 208 for a DB competition. Flew TF 237. Assisted in teaching me to load XWA missions. Active communications, message boards and email.

CPT Vector has been active on the message board.

I have begun to attempt learning how to install XWA custom missions. My initial impression is that XWA is a lot more difficult than Tie Fighter, or maybe I installed a hard mission. Have been kept busy outprocessing my unit in preparation for moving to Korea. Anxious to get back to my real computer instead of this laptop.

News:
We will soon be down to six pilots but that makes the squadron citation hunt easier. I’d still like more pilots though. Look at the battle board to determine which battles you can fly to aid the squadron. If 50% of the pilots fly a battle, the squadron earns the citation.

Competitions
-Delta vs. Alpha has been completed. Congratulations go out to Delta for their victory. Thanks for all the support in the competition. Victory shall be ours in future competitions. Who’s Next!

-There is a competition setup that will last until Nov 5th. The missions are TF 137. Get it flown and submitted. It’s short notice with a short run time but lets help the Wing to victory. It comes down to us and Delta to make a good showing for the Wing.

-The Sovereign Cup competition begins tonight. Good luck Arlins. I hope to meet you in the finals. Hopefully we can dominate TF 224.

-SSL 2004 will likely start in January!

-Imperial Storm IV has commenced but there has been no assigned battles/mission yet. Be prepared. There has been some enemy sightings and we could be called in at any time.

General

-Let’s get the squadron citations up.

-It’s time again to think of a new squadron nickname since the death angels is being used. Send me your submissions and I will put them all together. We will choose as a squadron what the new nickname will be. A graphic will follow eventually…maybe. I am looking at making a competition out of this so if you are graphically inclined, get ready. I am also tossing around some changes. I would like to allow each flight leader choose his flights motto. The downside of this is that old Alpha pilots get a nostalgic feeling seeing Alpha as it is and changes may upset some people. Let me know what you guys think and we will go from there.

-Now that Shivor is gone, we could use another pilot or two. Six is okay but we need numbers to win most of the competitions. Total score is a common scoring system and with only six pilots, we will lose some competitions…not because the others are better but more.

-The mission compendium now has zip files available. They will be available until Jan 1, 04. Get your EHBL working. The SCO will help as needed. The webpage for the zip files is:
http://battles.tiecorps.net/old/

- Since so many of us pilots are House Tridens pilots…remember the Rite of Supremacy currently being conducted. All we need is to talk MAJ Talons into Tarentum and we will represent the Clan completely. Fly TF-TF 208 at least.

We made a good showing in the competition. I’m proud of our winning the Tie Fighter portion of the competition. In my mind, we are a Tie Fighter squadron and we showed dominance. XWA will come later. Arlins is progressing, I hope to learn soon, Kaiser has ordered the program and should be flight capable in the future. Keep up the good work.

Personal glory brings glory to the squadron.
